Anywho, about the American and Canadians statement and how many of them think they are male, I have the impression a lot of Japanese people think they are male, too. As I've said, fan art and Okeki that I've seen of them from artists in Japan is of them being male. I personally haven't seen any that depict them as female.

And with the sleeping with Oboro scene, again 1) It is close to a scenario in the game, and also 2) If they were female, would they have to get Oboro drunk to sleep with him? You'd figure if they got him very drunk to sleep with him, they'd be male.

Now OBVIOUSLY, Oboro thinks of them as little sisters and POSSIBLY, he's waiting a year or two for them to ripen.

The fact that they're so loyal to him leads me to believe Oboro saved them and took them in, so they were indebted to him and follows him around everywhere, serving him...

Of course, there is the POSSIBILITY that they were IMPATIENT, and knowing the Oboro will not make love to them UNTIL they ripen, the twins got him drunk and got it on with him.

In real life? Getting a guy a little tipsy isn't necessarily a bad idea, as it can increase both desire and courage, and cause some minor lapses in judgment. Also, everyone seems to be more attractive after a few drinks.

Drunk is another story. Getting a guy drunk can be very, very counter-productive if sex is the goal, as it can (and often does) negatively impact performance. You don't want to get him drunk, unless you just need him to lie there. It's a huge risk and experienced women know this. Men sometimes have to learn the hard way -- no pun intended.

Thinks of them as little sisters? Hmm, I don't see that, personally. And yes, they are good comrades, and when you say he probably took them in and they are indebted to him, that is the case, he did do so and they are loyal to him because of so. That was something mentioned in one of the earliest episodes.

And if he were to see them as little sisters, as you say, why would he want to bang them in a couple of years, that is not how a guy thinks of two people he'd consider sisters.

Well uh, incest isn't exactly an uncommon theme when it comes to anime. XD

But personally, I think they're guys... for the reasons already discussed prior to my post. I'm not going to get into any descriptive details to justify my reasoning.

On the other hand, the reason that they're making the twins so androgynous is just to stir commotion among the fan community and spur more interest -- or disinterest, depending on how you look at the situation. Conflict and confusion = more viewers. I get the feeling we'll never get a clear indication of the twins' sex.

i'd like to think one is female and one is male ~ altho i am only upto about episode 10 rite now ~ (dnt no their names properly ~ they look identical)
it'd be more cute that way since one is always protecting the other (male protectin female) ~ it doesnt matter about the chest area ~ who cares! like someone said ~ they bound chest for ease of movement etc. cmon we have to have some cool females who actually fight!

Oh trust me, there are a couple really cool females who fight in this series.


I do believe both are males, but the one you mention about being protected more, that is Guraa. He is the one with a red robe. I think it is cute, it is like Dorii is the tougher brother, and he does help him out and protect him sometimes. Since you are only at episode 10, I won't mention some instances where this is the case, except for in spoiler tags for those keeping up with the series.

There was an instance where Guraa was knocked off of one of those reptile creatures and Dorii came to his assisstance, and for people who have watched up to the latest fansub:

Guraa sheds a tear when Oboro almost gets hurt in episode 14, and in another episode after that episode (I think it may be 15, I could be wrong, it might even be in the later part of episode 14), Guraa gets wounded by an arrow ( ;_; ) and Dorii catches him as he stumbles backwards. Later on, you can see he is still affected by the wound during a battle, as Dorii is leading archers, while Guraa is being more low key in the battle.

I think such things help represent how Guraa was a bit more on the sweeter side in the game. He will blush sometimes in the game, hehe. ^_^

Their names 'imply' female, their hair is female style, and they have female little ears.

Looking at that pic again, somehow, the way their hair is drawn doesnt really follow anime-conventions for Females-after-sex. Honestly it looks Male-ish too me. Maybe its because of how thick their locks look. Funny...

You can continue to discuss and debate the twins' gender all you'd like … the thread will remain open forever, but after 18 episodes, I think plenty of time has passed for voting. Now that we're in to the final few episodes of Shadow Warrior Chronicles, their gender is likely to be revealed. If not, then the English Dub will most probably reveal their bathroom habits.

I wouldn't be surprised if a woman did the voice acting for them in the dub, as well. There is a woman who did voice acting for two effeminate male characters, and some other male characters the same age as the twins (Mona Marshall, she did voice acting for Toboe from Wolf's Rain and Wolfram from Kyo Karo Maoh....I think I screwed up the name of the last series, heh).

When I first saw the twins, I couldn't figure out whether they were male or female! I didn't want to stick with 'female', because anime can play tricks on you like that. xD Now, I'm thinking they're both male. Maybe. I'm not 100% confident.

They did that to him in the game, basically, so why not in the anime, too? You can find it in one of the first pages, someone summarizing the scene in the game, or in one of the more recent pages, you'll find a post by me with a link to that specific post where a person posted the summary.
