Amuro Namie - PLAY

Namie-chan got her first number 1 CD in 7.5 years. I've been her fan since '95 (I got hooked by her HEYx3 "Body Feels Exit" performance") and I've not really followed her in her hip-hop era (I'm Komuro old skool). But I've been blasting this CD in my car for days out.. it's so wonderful knowing she's still fresh and hip after all these years. She's truly Madonna of Japan, except that she doesn't look like an old hag. In fact she still look like 19, and yet her son'll be a teen in a few years!

I'm no music critic but I just want to recommend this CD. I can't get Hide and Seek out of my head still... I haven't felt this "cool" listening to music in many years.

Here's her "hide & seek" MV:

This album wasn't as great as I expected it to be but there are a few good songs on there. I personally liked the slower songs. The others were too upbeat and weird for my taste.

Haha, I love the weird song the most. The album is 3rd now... poor Amuro-chan... no more staying power.... while Lucky * Star ED Collection ~ano hi no karaoke box is #4! Perhaps Kona-chan will beat out Amuro-chan next week... boy what's this world coming to...

I bought her album few months back.

I like FULL MOON and VIOLET SAUCE better.

If only she had her new single 60s 70s 80s included in them; they are like so nice and I'm so definitely gonna buy her next album because of that.

me too, I like the old Namie (2000 to 2003, from Genius 2000 to Style), just right before the hip hop bandwagon choo choo train

the current namie's music is kinda bad/terrible so far

I like Amuro Namie.
When she releases new songs, I am so excited to listen.
I think that I have high expectation from her, her songs, and her performance.

But sometimes, I don't understand some lyrics when she sings.

So it's kind of disappointing.
