Won't worry about it. I saw it earlier at the end of the E7AO live marathon on Bandai Channel. I was watching the last three episodes (ep13-15) on that stream because they're so good. The new PV is just all the best footage in the episodes so far edited together to give a sort of refreshing on the new direction the series is headed in now. It's pretty well cut, and they used the new OP as well, but there isn't anything new in it.

I can't believe I'm the first to comment on the latest episode but at the same time it's the kind of episode I don't want to potentially spoil so for now I'll just say it's yet-another "good" episode. Should lead to some new theories and interesting discussion once more people have seen it.

But although it did something like what you're saying we're going to have to wait a bit longer to know exactly what happened, since

Episode 16

Yeah, this show is turning into Lost. There's no way back now. It seems like from ep12 onward they had some sort of mandate to pack as many "stunning" plot twists in each episode just to keep the audience guessing. After 5 episodes of this, it's really getting stale. I'm tired of writers who feel the need to make the audience got "OMG! WTF!" every single week over and over, even when there are better ways to tell the same story. Zzzzz.

The mecha and effects animation this week was fairly good, but definitely not something which made the 2-week break feel worthwhile either. The episode on a whole felt very condensed, and rather disjointed. It's like they tried to pack two episodes worth of events into a single one, with no space for anything to really breath or develop. The character art is pretty poor this week too. Some of the wider shots of the characters looked really off, and in one scene Ao looked like he had some weird mutated hair. Meh.

Come on BONES, you can do better than this! Or maybe you can't anymore... :/

I think it would be very hard to do any kind of straightforward sequel to E7, so some kind of twisty-mystery thing is expected, but this is getting a bit harder to see how it winds up.

That said without getting into actual speculation, the way that large volumes of quartz *seem* to enable retroactive reality-rewriting really does have the potential to revive a lot of fan theories we've been ruling out as inconsistent with the original series' history of earth, .

I don't remember even LOST ever having such a complete reset-switch in its story anywhere, but I try not to remember lost too well, .

That was very Deus Ex Machina. The Quartz became a big ass gun when needed. Reminds me when Nirvash evolved to its Spec 3 form.

The Twist is Team Goldilocks disappearing entirely with Norway. As in no indication of their existence. Only Ao remembers them.

Either this is another mind trick by Truth or they have been deleted from the Matrix in retaliation or they were transported to the E7 world an the Matrix had to rewrite itself.

We have some suspicion for some time that the AO world is an artificial world using the memories of humans by the Scub.

Truth would be some corrupted Agent program aka a rogue Secret.

As for the third engine it would make sense if it is either a Compact drive or an Amita drive.

In short:

Spoiler:

Generation Bleu takes all the Quartz they've collected and fires it across the Earth like a giant bullet. As it orbits, the Secrets follow it, with a plotted course to crash at the north pole where the Secrets will detonate it and kill themselves.

Naru drops by Okinawa to defend the place, while Truth gets pissed that Generation Bleu found a way to stop the Secrets and tries to shoot the bullet down with missiles from a hijacked missile silo. He fails, but one missile detonates close enough to throw the bullet off course, aiming it for England instead.

Pied Piper tries to put it back on course. Fleur fails, since the Third Engine in her IFO won't activate. Ao takes over, breaking the bullet shell and dragging the massed Quartz into space. His Third Engine reacts with the Quartz, forming it into that giant gun in my earlier post. He fires and beam spam kills every Secret in a suitably epic display of rainbow energy, followed by a giant energy pillar.

Everyone celebrates, except Ao seems to have altered history and now Team Goldilocks doesn't exist. They all think he's crazy since he still remembers them.

There's details I'm sure I've missed since I can't understand the raw, but that's the gist of it.

I was just thinking, what if what happened wasn't time being changed, but time being fixed? Remember that the scub coral didn't arrive on E7 earth as early as it did on AO earth. I can see Ao being forced to continue "fixing" time till all the Scub coral are gone and then useing it on himself so the timeline can continue as it would have in the original show.
