Sunrise's CG continuing to impress lately, no wonder.

EDIT : after looking the trailer, errrr... its kinda not what I'm hoping from the CG >_>

The official English title for Soubou no Oz is "Code Geass: OZ The Reflection".

It is a parallel project that will run in both Hobby Japan and Newtype Ace. The Hobby Japan project is a photo story (text + photos) about a terrorist youth who wants revenge against the death of his lover. The Newtype Ace project is a manga about a member of the anti-terror knight force that has to hunt him down. The mecha featured in both stories will also be released under the Robot Damashii brand.

The KMF designs will be mainly by Eiji Nakata.

a theatrical akito? maybe the site mean like they did to Code Geass Lelouch where only a few people can watch the first episode in theatrical form before going out in tv. Remember cg1 before going tv they aired ep 1 at the movies to be reviews by professionals . I wanna be invited at that special screening anyway. Thanks. Where can I see the 90 sec trailer?

Gpara interviewed the producer after the conference. He confirmed that it is not a theatrical movie. Akito the Exiled is a full series with multiple episodes which they have been producing. The early Summer theatrical event (it's not opening as a movie, there are merely events in 10 cinemas around Japan which will screen it) is currently only intended to be episode 1.

It's also likely not a TV series, due to the production values, so I would say it is probably an OVA like Gundam Unicorn.

Ichiko Hashimoto (RahXephon) is the composer for the series.

so they gonna sold it, i mean the premiere? (not for free)...

Its not for pro-people to review it like they did in CG 1? where CG1 has good reviews and a standing ovation?

That's Yoko Kanno for you.
Or does she only composes for the main theme?

They haven't actually revealed whether the events will be free, or if tickets will be given away to fans who buy stuff or join a lottery online, or if you have to pay for tickets. So we don't really know at this point.

why i have feeling everyone have same face on that trailer 0_o. love the girl on 0:57 :3 (probably same girl as hooded girl show earlier.)

white KMF is pretty awesome. love the face.

i suspect this will end up being Sunrise long running franchise like Gundam (Code Geass: [inser name] of [insert noun])

any word on who the VAs will be, at least for the Akito, Layla and any other major characters?

Akito is Miyu Irino, Layla is Maaya Sakamoto. Maaya is also singing the theme song, which is composed by Yoko Kanno. The music for the actual show is composed by Ichiko Hashimoto. Kazuki Akane is the director.

Ditto that, though it does raise a few questions. Namely, if they had this kind of Knightmare kickassery, why didn't they deploy it in the Tokyo battle? Hopefully they'll address that.

It may not be the characters we know and love (even if it is their repurposed character models), but it looks like it has some nice action.

The EU, if I'm understanding correctly that the protagonists are some sort of EU special forces unit.
