Almost Human - new science fiction/crime drama

Did anyone see this? The first episode was pretty good. I was surprised at how expensive the production looks for a network show.

It's by J.J. Abrams, so the network doesn't have a choice but to throw some money around for, at least, the early episodes. I've been meaning to catch it, so your positive view helps.

I liked it, but not sure if I'll continue watching it. It seems like it would've been perfect as a movie (kind of a cross between Rush Hour and Die Hard), but they decided to stretch it all out and make it a series instead.

Interesting concept, great production (easily the best on network television right now), and some decent acting (Michael Ealy can act the hell out of some really silly lines, Karl Urban is always a hoot, Lili Taylor should always be working, and Minka Kelly is cute ). Now they just need the stories (I'm expecting a lot of fun singularity storylines). If nothing else, it'll be a decent run-in to the endlessly fun Sleepy Hollow.

So now I get Almost Human on Mondays, Agents of Shield on Tuesdays, and Arrow on Wednesday. Pretty awesome.

Oh and there is some nice eye candy to look at in this show. Minka Kelly and Karl Urban's girlfriend in the show. Both are easy on the eyes.

I thought Almost Human was on Sundays? Or was that just for the opening episode? Because I'd much rather watch the How I Met Your Mother + Sleepy Hollow Combo.

It's going to be on Mondays.

I forgot I got the Walking Dead on Sundays. So that is a nice four day stretch.

And on Thursday is Glee!

Yeah, it's nice to have so many sci-fi/fantasy shows on the air.

Seems a nice ep 1. I wonder what direction it will take from here on.

Well, I'm caught up to all nine episodes. My thoughts...

...actually I'm not very coherent. But Oh my god this show is amazing and I'm gushing about it and I expect it'll be cancelled by Fox before the season is done.

Also, Dorian is utterly, utterly Bro-tier.

At ep 9 they talked about the wall. Seems to be a world like the one in Judge dread.

So, surprisingly enough, the show actually finished its 13-episode run. And Kennex got some closure with regard to his dad's case.

All in all, I think it was a good show. It deserves a second season, though I can't help but wonder at all the costs involved. -_-

Fox seems to like having cult classic sci-fi under its brand name. All the way back to Star Wars.

Well... there's too many cops shows these days. I guess putting futuristic setting didn't draw enough ppl to watch it.

I am not surprised at all the show was canceled. Plus the budget looked to have been pretty damn high.
