Well, Ruri does not seem to have a good start in school, knowing that she shuns everybody and keeps telling people she does not have the time. The problem with that is that she is a powerful gamer, known to defeat any game at even the hardest level. Of course, the gaming club wants her, but she is not interested. Funny how Saori is making all the interpretations that both characters are thinking. I believed Ruri threw the pillow at the wrong person, but I could be wrong. Yes. Saori's interpretation was full of win, and Ruri's reactions to them were just as delicious. At least, Kyousuke openly tells the truth about his intentions.
So, Ruri and Kyousuke enter the club. To think that the dude he took the bike from was actually the president of the gaming club. I bet Ruri automatically thought "Yaoi" when he heard him speak to Kyousuke. And, is he really older than he should be? I have got to say, Ruri is quite a hardcore gamer, despite her looks and already known yaoi fan. Maybe she also games just about everything as well as playing BL games (or possibly the BL games have mini-scenes?, if that is the right word). I agree, it does feel like watching Genshiken again.
Well, Ruri is stuck with cleaning the school all by herself. Of course, Kyousuke does not take a second thought to help her out. Ruri tells him upfront how she feels and what she believes he is thinking about. The two of them enter the welcome party, and we are introduced to Sena. Sena seems to be a very cautious person herself, talking about how otaku's work and live and what they try to do. The problem is the hate between her and Ruri. Kyousuke seems to know her from somewhere. To confirm it, he manages to get a small chat with her. Apparently, she wants to be a gamer as well and see this place as a haven to her. The problem is the people there, whom she despises. The bomb question appears; does she play Homoge club? to which she applies with an enthusiastic yes. Curtain is revealed, she is just as dirty as they are; welcome to the yaoi world. Ruri just gained an interesting specimen to play with. Here's the catch: she is probably more dirty and hardcore than she is about yaoi. I mean, seriously, fork and spoon? Really? And Makabe getting gang raped by the main male club members? Is she just that awesome or what? Too bad the brother is pretty screwed up as well, trying to make Kyousuke do all of that to her. Another addition to people who are interested in him is not needed...or is it? Well, at least Ruri knows there is another of her own kind in her classroom. Kyousuke admits that he is indeed lonely, yet still wishes to help Ruri in any way she can. I wonder what she meant by already given up. Is she giving up on him? I thought there were major flags set for the two of them? Did I misinterpret something?
Opening was interesting, crossing Meruru with Maschera and all. I agree, the ending does describe Ruri well.

Akagi (the brother) did not tell Kyousuke to say that to Sena because he's trying to be funny - if there's going to be a second season, you'll see that the Akgai siblings act as a foil to the Kousaka siblings.
As for the end there, Ruri's "I've already given up" was directed at the last part of Kyousuke's statement of "I'll keep nosing in your business even if you say otherwise".

In Japanese schools, everyone has cleaning duty every day. And they get assigned to various locations (classroom/balcony, locker, staffroom, toilets, stairwell etc) in groups. So yeah, others were meant to be there.
...though Kyousuke and Manami should have had their own assigned locations too...
I had an impression that a group of people do the cleaning and it was a turn based. Therefore Kyousuke and Manami might have had cleaning duties yesterday/last week or tomorrow/next week.

It's the true ending to the TV series, whatever that means. Basically erase episode 12 from the TV broadcast and replace it with the OVA episode 12 and 13. Story continues as normal.
The "true ending" only applies to episode 12B, which ends an arc as it's supposed to be in the novels (rather than an improvised ending like 12A). 13-15 are bonus that goes a bit beyond 12B, and it *may* lead in to a second season too if the studio is so inclined, and if Fushimi can do a few more volumes of novels.

Indeed. A choice for Kirino to stay in Japan rather than taking the opportunity in America seemed to be... not within her character. As watching that particular episode, I was expecting her to actually head off to America.
At least, the "correct" version is brought out, allowing us to see what happens with that.
This episode surely gives me a relief, although i haven't watched the previous episodes, though.
Sena's act on kuroneko is surely amazing, her confession does the same too. :d

So in the Novel Kirino does leave for America? I thought the TV ending felt too much like a cop out ending to actually be how it originally played out, however I was much more a fan of Kuroneko anyway so this episode was pleasing for me to watch.
