Ya think?

Jokes aside, I hope the show handles Jonah's South Asian heritage (IMO seems to be Pakistani at first since his first name would hint his Roman Catholic roots, but then I don't know).

PS - To all the weapon buffs out there, hope you enjoy the nice view of Jonah holding his FN FNC.

Moonphase upcoming anime list says 12 episodes.

It worries me, too. He has never done a show I liked. I know you disagree, but I think Shinbou does brilliantly well with Nisio, whereas Motonaga created something I found unwatchable in Katanagatari. Just boring.

However, as for that extremely popular abomination School Days, I do blame his writer, Uezu Makoto, who is only one step behind him in not suiting my taste. They worked together on such great shows as Amenaideyo and Lovedol.

Fortunately, this show is written by Kuroda Yousuke, who is at least competent, having done shows ranging from Phantom 2 to Hayate to HSotD. I am looking forward to this show, however, partly for the morally reprehensible set-up I read about. How will they deal with that?

Isn't Jonah from Africa, though?

If this truly is one cour and isn't a complete adaption I'll be very sad.

I feel the complete opposite. I found Katangatari's directing beautiful and Shinbo's handling of Monogatari quite poor, especially in Nise. School Days was just a vile source ot begin with so I can't really say there was anything he did wrong there.

Okay... Just finished reading all the available translations, and I have decidedly fallen in love !! Man.. I just can't help loving those bastards....

Though it may will decrease my later enjoyment with the anime, but who knows. I won't put so much hope for the anime, but I think I will likely enjoy it regardless.

The only problems I have for now are Vol. 9 & 10, neither of which can be found anywhere, even the RAWs ! (just ranting, ofc)

Since nobody said anything, this is confirmed split cour, and Nagi will be singing the ED

It seems like the first season will air on April and the second on October, adaptating all the volumes of the manga.

Very good news, this anime just went up on my most anticipated list

Huge good news from White Fox there, this needs two cour desperately. As a huge fan of the manga I'm officially psyched now, though the director still concerns me.

Indeed, me too. This had dropped on my list since 1-cour wouldn't be enough to animate the manga, turning into an rushed or filler ending. But with this announcement, I'm very excited!

I like what I'm seeing in the PV. Good action coupled with some comedy (0:08). Damn, I'm actually getting excited about a new show for once!

Yesss......I'm also very psyched after knowing it's going to be 2 cour, I love the manga n happy to see Jonah,Koko&co being animated^-^ The only thing that irk me is that I'll have to wait another 3 months for the 2nd half, I wish they didn't do a split cour but whatever, it's still great news anyway.

First episode 4/10. Has any group decided they are going to sub?

edit: that 4/10 is supposed to mean the release date, April 10th, not a rating. Someone gave me a bad rep for the misconfusion. Would just like to clarify.
