Hello and Welcome to my little section of the forums.

Here you will find many of the various things that I am working on. As well I shall share poems, Tang Poems, Haiku, and Musings. In time I may add my paintings, caligraphy, and other things I am working on. I must apologise as I have very little skill with image manipulation and computers, so this thread may seem rather drab.

Lets start with an excerpt from my story shall we?

Human beings smile daily, but do they truly mean it? I stared blankly from my home as people moved about the market talking and laughing. Did anyone truly care about what another thought or felt? Are we so selfish as to hide our true emotion or intentions behind a false mask. It frames our face so and we wear it all our lives. I would never know the closeness of another, the affection, the warmth. I am a lost soul given the face of a hideous man. The religious texts tell us that we are all made after god’s image so that we were all special and beautiful. Though god’s children forsake my face shunned for my features and called me a monster.

I was destined to be alone, I scraped about my house day in and day out wondering what it would be like to have another person near me. Talking. Maybe even laughing. I would not know these things from anyone on this earth, no one had the capacity… the mercy. However, loneliness and being to yourself is enough to kill a man, I can assure you that. The madness grips at you and pulls every fibre of your being screaming to get out. You holler “I want to live!” at the top of your lungs, but the cage is deeper than simply the foundations of your home. The cage is much more elusive. Built by fear over centuries of societal pressures and expectations. Built from classification, built from hatred, and built from the very people who speak of hope and love.

I knew not what to do to overcome this loneliness. However, as I gaze out at the window I knew if no one of god’s children shall love me. What if I were to create man’s child? An artificial being that could live, breath, speak, and even love. The thought gripped me I do admit. The thought shook me and moved me. I dedicated myself to my learning of such an art and in time I found myself staring at the quiet elegance resting deep in my basement. Yes… I couldn’t gain love so I would create it with my own hands. Innovation, learning, and adaptation was a human’s true strength. Call me pathetic if you will, but I am merely adapting to my circumstances.

You may yet, that was my last year's nanowrimo. I haven't expanded upon it in a while because it was making me sad to write. However, I am intending to pick up the rest this year, I have a tragic end in mind~ Usually my psychological work gets pushed aside from my childhood story.

I am glad that you were able to find enjoyment from it ^.^

~The Monk and the Poet ~
-Enlightenment-

This was my favourite story when I was young. My Ahyi used to tell me all these stories to help me understand Tao/Buddhism a bit better. However, religion aside these are funny little stories between a monk and his friend the poet. Consider this an intermission before I share more of "Forbidden Desire." Hope you enjoy it!

There was once a monk and a poet, the two of them believed that their respective paths would lead them to enlightenment. They were good friends who grew up together and with a common goal they often quarreled. The poet believed that it was through the arts and self expression that one could achieve enlightenment. While the monk believed it was through discipline and meditation.

One day while the poet was writing he had a sudden flash of inspiration. That inspiration touched him so deeply he exclaimed "AH! This must be enlightenment!" He continued with his poem writing words of beauty and splendour, when all saw it they felt that he was truly gifted by heaven. In his joy he immediately went to his study and wrote a letter to his friend the monk. He told his friend that he had achieved enlightenment through a poem he wrote and enclosed the poem.

He delivered the letter the next day hoping that he could prove to the monk his path was the correct one. When the letter arrived the monk read it, and gave it very careful consideration. He then took out his brush and wrote on the back "A fart full of baloney," Statisfied he sent the letter along with the courier.

The poet was very eager to recieve this letter and would inquire with the courier everyday. When the letter finally came the poet quickly grasped it and hurried to his study. When he opened it and saw what the monk had wrote he became extremely angry. He paced mulling over the words, but he could not get the clear violation of his art out of his mind. He resolved that he would confront the monk and prove his poem to be truth.

The poet gathered his things for the journey that would take him a few days. He endured much and traveled with great difficult over the yellow river. When he arrived at the monks monestary he saw a stone on the door. He carefully examined it and written on that stone were these words: "You speak and write of enlightenment yet you were chased over the river by a fart."

Oh thank you for the warm welcome and compliments. I was hesitant to post here because I thought it had to all be anime related. The monk really does, they seem to develop this sort of clever humor as they cultivate. I hope to add more in the future~

I was really worried about posting my avatar gallery as well, thats why I hid in a box when I posted it it doesn't all have to anime related, there are many fan-fictions/stories/etc posted here that are irrelevant to anime. As long as its made from a member

Ah okay, if it wasn't for you and Daniel E. clearing that up for me I would be very much hidden in a box. It is good that they have a section like that here. I wish I could do avatars and signatures. The avatars I have I cropped and sized in paint. Sworn was so kind to make me a signature.

Stories are very intriguing for me especially the time the person spent in thinking of a story to make for it (thats why I like reading manga, the idea of how long it would be to think of things like that.) of course Avatars/Signatures are very tough to make (Avatars were somewhat easier then Signatures for me) Stories are always amazing to ready, so looking forward to reading more from you

Here is another installment of "Forbidden Desire" I hope you all like it~ I'm putting them out in small sections because I like how it reads. Normally when I write a short story I do it this way as well. Bit by bit the reader gets the story and what is going on~ Think of the first part as a kind of prologue the story will eventually catch up to that point. So without further ado~ the beginning:

I slowly open the curtains the dry agitating fabric grated against the wrinkles of my fingers. My eyes squinted as I stared blankly out onto the streets. Another day has started. I would stand there for sometime watching the world interact. I was locked there, only shifting for the aching cries of my feet. I clenched my teeth, swallowed hard, but I was not out there with them… in there falseness. I was safe here. Out there in the light, I would be judged, looked upon as some creature to be pitied. Why must I see their false sympathies, while with my back turned they would grin with the smiles of harpies gossiping that my illness had made me hideous, made me wretched.

To there amazement, I lived past my expiry, a new one would be told to me by the village doctor, but I would live past that too. I had once cried out in lonely agony to have the illness take me. This world of duality where light and dark seemed to exist in all people. I hated that about people, you never knew who was kind… or who was false. I close the curtains shading my eyes from the brilliance of their light. Shielded myself from their scrutinizing eyes. I shuffled from room to room, but the misery I was brought in my loneliness was not on my mind. Rather, a companion, danced about in my thoughts.

I could not live alone forever, I had resolved to make a girl created by man without the judgemental nature of ones created by god. She would accept me. She would love all of me without judging my weaknesses, free of… avarices… I take up a book it’s dusty pages explain to me that it had been neglected like I, forgotten like I. I flip the pages the dirt between them staining my white fingers. To create a person, how must one do so. What was it that made a human? It was flesh, bone, blood, and soul. I grinned to myself knowing how I might get flesh, bone, and blood. However, a soul… how was it that the devil acquired souls? Did he need to wait until that person died? I do not have such time! I mulled over the book longer until it’s pages would give me no clues. I set it down on the side table to my chair and sat in front of an empty fire place.

My eyes fluttered closed briefly then opened once more. Within my dreams I could see her moving about in a field of green with me. She is youthful, playful, sweet and her eyes glow with a blue brilliance that even the sky would envy. I smile in my sleep rub an affliction from the sweat on my cheeks. She would be perfect for me. She would be free of the vile taint that we god children have placed ourselves in. Her voice is bright and gentle. “I adore you… whomever you shall be.” I said out loud, but my daydream would be rattled awake by a jarring knock at my door.

My eyes opened sharply. I gaze upon the door a human body was unfortunately on the other side. Would I answer it? Should I answer it? Was it a tax collector seeking payment… No it was not time for that. I groaned and rose from my seat and quietly made my way over to the door. I listened carefully. There was surely someone on the other side. Another knock came just as jarring as the other the wood within my door seemed to groan in the same displeasure as I. We were being invaded upon. I looked at the clock on the wall gritted my teeth at it. How dare someone disturb me so early in the morning. My hands shook. My eyes lost focus. I had to reach the handle… or would he go away.

Yes! He will go away, if I just move from here he shall think I am not home. Despite my hopes the knock came again. I paused frozen in my tracks. I wait hoping he had not heard me, until the voice of a woman came through the door.

“Mr. Winston…” the voice was unsure… or perhaps that was my wishful thinking. I stay quite still for a long time. The invader would not leave. I prayed, but realized I should not do so. I was forsaken no god would answer my prayers. I leaned closer to the door as things grew silent. Had she left? Again loud invasive knocks rattled my ear and my being along with it. “Mr. Winston, I know you are home you are always home.” How invasive, the sheer lack of propriety of this woman! I commit to simply leaving, but the knock came again so loud I found myself tearing the door open with my eyes a flame.

Seeing a person face to face… I shrunk. I shrunk quickly my flame put out in an instant. I smoothed down the mess that was my hair and grinned weakly interlocking my fingers innocently.

“Why if it isn’t Mrs. Cooper.” She was the worst of all people in this town. There was not a sneeze that escaped her gossip if she saw it. I force the best smile that I could, but she simply sized me up in disgust.

“Your garden, it’s over grown, your house is unsightly, and…” she looked me up and down I knew what she wanted to say, but her beliefs kept her from insulting me directly. Oh no she would rather do so to her friends, but I knew it would eventually come to my knowledge. I was much like my house I am sure. I simply nodded and apologised explaining to her that I would get right to it. She simply crossed her arms and sized me up one last time before turning rapidly and making her way. I cursed her… oh I cursed the back of her self centered head. I would enjoy watching her suffer. One who lives in the light, but has the forked tongue of a devil.

I slammed my door shutting their world from mine. I would have to do chores to satisfy the whim of an outsider. How disgusting. I just wanted to work on my beauty… then her and I we could manage this house. I would not feel this nagging of my heart… I could live again. I could… I looked briefly out pass my curtains. Venture into their world again. I paced about my house. I needed something anything to get started before I became crazy. I would need a vessel, what is more I would need a way to preserve that vessel. So many ideas crossed my mind, but I had to be sure it would work. I clenched my fist before my mouth and bit down on my index finger closing my eyes tightly.

I needed a vessel, do I make it? Do I collect it? How does one make a human body? I could not weave sand and wind and make a body as god had done. So… how would a mortal man make a body.

Slightly off topic, but I couldn't resist. Your signature, the ending bit is in Korean, yes? I'm not positive, but does it say something along the lines of:
