Need an anime where someone has feelings towards the main character... lead must be F
Lead must be FEMALE
I don't really want romance to be the main focus of the anime, I just want there to be some romantic aspects. What I'm looking for: A girl (or woman) has to be the main protagonist. Good art/ nothing too old Someone has to have romantic feelings towards her (can be a boy or girl) She is either unaware of their feelings or doesn't care romance shouldn't be the main theme in the anime. I want it to be action or fantasy etc Good plot line I know a lot of people don't like this, but I want one where the girl never notices/ acknowledges the boys feelings. In other words, I'd like it to remain an unrequited love A perfect example would be Ergo Proxy, both Vince and Daedalus have feelings towards Re-L (I don't mind if it's an obsession either). Or Saiunkoku Monogatari. Also, Air Master, but I didn't like the art. And Shinigami no ballad, but I'd like the attention focused on the main character, rather than various different characters. I know this is a lot to ask for, but if someone could give just one example, then I'm sure I'd love it Thanks in advance! But remember, if the LEAD isn't FEMALE then don't bother suggesting Also, I have watched a lot of anime, so try to think outside the box and don't use the typical ones like lovely complex or bokura ga ita |

Woah, this sure is a tough one.
I personally dislike the series with the female character as the main character, so I do not think I'll be able to answer this nicely. One that comes to my mind is Kotoura-san, but I didn't like the story overall. I hope you'll find the series you want! |

This is pretty hard. I can think of several action shows with a female lead and the suffers from unrequited love where the ending is ambiguous as to the resolution of the romance.
Kotoura-san is arguably an example. I suppose Crest of the Stars would count (before Banner II). Chrono Crusade maybe? Possibly Occult Academy. Chihayafuru? For the first season at least (I haven't watched the 2nd yet). Not an action show though not focused on romance either. It's a sports show. Minami-ke is open ended. Slice of life and not an action show. Tamako Market is another slice of life that would meet the other requirements.

I recommend Seirei no Moribito. The main character is a 30-yo female bodyguard who has a long-standing relationship with a male admirer. For a variety of reasons, she is unwilling to move forward with him.
Moribito is an outstanding show that meets all your other criteria.

If I remember correctly, the blond guy in Kaleido Star has a thing for the protagonist but it remains unrequited, and there's no actual romance in the anime... Just looked up his character in the wiki and apparently everyone knows about it but her and he's never able to confess.

The only one I can think of that fits the requirements. And a good show in its own right.

True it's a great action show that has a strong female lead. But it's not the guy who has the unrequited love.
