I guess that means no Soyent Green. Just more batteries. Can't waste a good human on food products when we got a planetary power grid to run.

Microsoft Research working on "any surface" touch screen

Just goes to show you can't believe the media stereotype of Microsoft as a "has-been" and non-innovator. Of course Apple will productize this technology 2 years before MSFT does and claim all the credit.

MSFT of 2011 = Bell Labs of yesteryear.

Sure it's rear-projected and low-definition, but it's an amazing concept. If this is tech for 2011, imagine what it will be in 2015, 2020.

BTW - it's too bad the Nexus Prime is running Android. That's the kind of beastly hardware I'm lusting after. If only it had Windows Phone 7.5 on it.

I expect the flgihts cost to go down as time goes on and more spacecraft are built.

Also I'd rather wait until they have someplace to actually go. Like a Hotel in orbit.

Well, they're already working on that too

Hmmmm. Now if they are A) compatible, and B) can make sure the place is safe from all the debris we have out there...than we got something that can make a profit beyond those that have put money in already for flight tickets and room reservations. Galactic Suits seems to be attempting to make their own spacecraft, but Virgin Galactic's craft already exists. With the remaining test flights and the proceeds on the first several tourist flights I can easily imagine an either larger, or just longer ranged/durable craft that can reach the Galactic Suits orbit and return (safety of course).

The slightly more expensive (maybe) route would be the Dragon spacecraft to reach the Galactic Suits (the Dragon I think is suppose to be able to cary seven people, so the six the Suits can take is just fine, more room for luggage). Dragon is suppose to be operational by the beginning of next year (for cargo runs to the ISS). It's passager version should be a year or two after that, depending on conditions I guess.

Tourism. Followed by other enterprises I hope. Maybe that can pull the world out of this bum econemy.

Start at the Sailor Moon level rather than the Nanoha level.

That would be a toll on trees, to come up with contracts.

We could use the longer-lasting lambskin though.....

Back to the Future's mechanical star is getting a modern upgrade so it doesn't look out of place when Doc Brown arrives in Hill Valley again in 2015.

http://editorial.autos.msn.com/blogs...cid=autos_0983

88 miles per hour? Pffff, try 125 miles per hour.....or flying speed (please?)
Still requires a flux capacity or a Mr Fusion upgrade.

Taking it to DMC.
