For some reason she make me think a Carbuncle from FF(ok a Cabucle in human form).

Still, I wonder why she change/hate this form so much(at least from what we know).

Wait...think about it, her eyes look like the one that Tohaka have when they capture her, before she become "inverse". You know? That pic where she was tied to the chair.

But would DEM really risk trying to capture a full powered spirit, unless she turn inverse by her self.

Rogue66@I wonder.....Though, who say they need to capture the spirit? I mean, from what I understand from Tohaka incident, when she become her "inverse form" you just need to make them feel a deep despair or something like that.

So, I can see them do something to help "her" to become her "inverse form". Though, like you say, there is the chance that she become "inverse" by herself,with the right circumstance.

Everything went better than expected.

I think the "gloomy" eyes part from vol.8 matches this picture well at least. Doubt it's brain washing or etc..

She obviously doesn't want to be seen as a kid. Once she had the chance to change her appearance, she took it with gusto.

She looks smaller than even Yoshino, who's marginally the shortest character so far.

So I was right, Natsumi's true form will be on vol 9's cover.

If any of the spirits will go into inverse mode I think it will be Natsumi. It's possible that not only it's Natsumi's true form on the cover it's also her inverse mode.

That picture confirmed to be 9's cover?

If that's the case then it changes things completely. Might not even have a Spirit go inverse this volume. But if that's the case then volume 7 will look like a total asspull.

I still can't help but think that Yoshino has something to do with this whole situation somehow... but it could be a red herring for all I know.

Why not? It's a good possibility. I mean, Yoshino is more mature than she looks, and she can guide Natsumi into self-control, self-acceptance, well, a lot of self stuff. Point is, Natsumi needs to accept what she really is. That's all there is to it.

I will expect a big depression in Volume 9.
