It's a continuation of the first Stage. Same as the Third Stage continues off it and so forth.

The Battle Stage and Bonus/Extra Stage are separate from the rest of the story, so if you just watch some of the other stages (minor complain about how long fourth stage is gonna take ) then you might like to note that they are different stories...

The stages are continous, goes 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and currently 4th. The Extra Stage goes aside with 2nd stage, its good to see as well. Battle Stage is just scenes of all the battles that Takumi raced, no plot or story.

Just started watching Initial D, and I'm currently at the middle of the 2nd stage. Since Takumi sort of know about Natsuki's relationship with her dad, what happend to them later on? Did both of them end up with each other later on? I know Takumi sort of break up with Natsuki later on in the 4th stage, but I'm curious about what happens to both of them before the 4th stage.

Its not literally her dad. It's like her sugar daddy. Anyways, basically they break up, don't get back together til Stage 3, graduate, she goes to Tokyo for school and he stays in Gunma to work and race. They kind of keep in touch, but they don't talk much about Natsuki in Stage 4.

Sorry, that isn't Natsuki's dad. He is her "Papa". A guy who pays her to have sex with him. It's like a "John" picking up a hooker. Only in this case, Natsuki only sleeps with the one guy. Oh, never mind, the other guy covered it...
