The main character just TOTALY screws up the opponet. Kind of like when Alucard from Hellsing fights. He acts cocky, badass and just totaly kills the enemy.

Zaraki Kenpachi from Bleach. The guy is a total maniac when he fights. He just laughs at pain, hacks trough stuff, and kills.

anything of the similar?

You would probably like Berserk, great action, chatacters, and story.

Hunter X Hunter also might be a good choice, a little slow at the start but interesting characters come along after the story gets going. Though the main character isn't crazy, others in it are.

Monster is also a very good anime with the nemesis that's demented, but is in a "real world" setting and less action oriented.
