I haven't read the novel except for random bits and pieces. But according to the wiki

Matsunaga "Danjou" Hisahide started a rebellion to dispel the criticisms on Nobuna. And based on the bits and pieces I've glanced through in the novel, Danjou and Nobuna seem to click quite well so she has no reason to truly betray Nobuna. Btw, which volume is that from? Perhaps, if you can say which volume, it might be easier to find the right place to read about that or the right neta thread, unless someone else who has read everything wants to do the honor

Holy crap, this story is much more serious than I thought. Though one of my complaints is that it's a little hard to speed-read, probably due to the somewhat haphazardness and difficult names.

Spoiler for what happen to Danjou in v9:

Her rebellion not only helped to dispel some of the bad rep racked up by Nobuna, but also saved her from an assassination attempt. In the end, Danjou died. Full explanation starts from page 193 of the volume.

Matsunaga is "dead". Hanbei almost died. I wonder what awaits for Juubei and what is left of her loyatly should the author chose to do the "Mother" route. I hope
the cause for Honnouji will not be something as lame as wanting to get inside of Yoshiharu's pants

of course i never touched volumes 5, 6, 7, 8. Based on the bits and pieces, i thought Dousan had died (intro page seems to state that as well). So did he really die? If he did die, it won't surprise me if Danjou's death is real. Granted, i didn't touch the last chapter, so i could be totally wrong.
