There was a bit of that, wasn't there... One! Two! Three! Four! OM NOM NOM Oh, I think she's made a little progress. Or, her off-model bath scenes have, at the very least.

The eyecatches in episode six were particularly nice, though I may just be influenced by the first one. A shot like that of Yoshinoya aimed directly at the viewer is certainly a way to grab attention. The principal was also in top form this episode, sounding like the squid-scientist of the deep I know he is in another reality. Come to think of it, there was a lot of Yoshinoya in this episode, and that's something I'll never have a problem with. Shaft also did a good job with changing the background colors of the eyecatches as the episode clipped along, culminating in sunset with Yuno/Miyako. (in the first half) The quality of the eyecatches did not drop as the episode went on. I particularly liked the Hiro/music background one.
"Normal people?" "Yeah, like me." *beat* That was the best exchange of the episode. Though I now feel a desire to check the backgrounds in Hanamaru Kindergarten and see if Nazuna's there. She's going to have a man-harem wrapped around her finger in no time. Now, if according to Nori's description, Miyako was the one with the man-harem, well, she probably already has it. If this thread is anything to go by, she's one of the most popular characters. |

I with the translaters could use "generic" to go with "general ed."
Also, I wonder the obsession with glasses in the second half's eyecatches... and "Sae Line needs translation." Now now, if Sae is this oblivious to love, how could she write marketable love stories...?

Oh you !
I must say, I didn't expect Nazuna to be so popular with the boys either, especially in a series where they almost never talk about boys. Her reactions were so HNNNNNGGGGG My favourite part of the episode was Yoshinoya-sensei's segment though, there can never be enough of her. I thought she had found a boyfriend for a moment... And I laughed hard at the last scene of the episode. I hope it was just for the joke and she won't keep that hair cut though, long hair suited her better. |

I shall name this episode the non sequitur branded episode. It makes for some good silly laughs.
edit:- does anyone knows a release date for the ed single?

Personally, I wonder if those eyecatches was Shinbou's way of continuing a series of eyecatches that appeared in episode 8 of Negima!?, which contained a series of eyecatches that depicted all the "regular" characters that appeared in this episode sporting the pair of glasses that Nodoka wears in her cosplay form (see my avatar for for an example of Nodoka in her cosplay form).

BTW: The names of GA characters were drawn in the style of the Hidamari sign, and probably the artist tried to draw parallels between the characters:
Sae's "hi" -> Professor Miyako's "da"->Tomokane Hiro's "ma"-> Namiko Yuno's "ri"-> Kisaragi I have no problem with the Yuno/Kisaragi comparison; nor do I object Hiro/Namiko that much-- but IMO Miyako is more like Nodamiki than Tomokane.

Well, at least for me Miyako is defined by her being spontaneous. Based on that, Miyako is more similar to Noda. (Of course they can be spontaneous in different ways; Noda's "talented but moody" comment does not apply to Miyako.)
That said, Miyako and Tomokane share some hyperactive (literal meaning only) traits. (It's kind of funny seeing it's Tomokane who's always invoking loanshark-speak while Kisaragi appeared to be more frugal than her.)
