So then Madoka is a failure in a line of clones of Chifuyu? And Ichika is a successful (albeit modified to be male) clone? For what power? The ability to use IS? Assuming that Ichika and Madoka age normally, they have to be older than the IS system.

What if the real Madoka was a weakling, and is already dead? And M was created from her genes?

Assuming that Tabane is connected to said cloning program, I suppose Tabane's obsession with IS advancement knows no bounds, even repeated human cloning. But I find it surprising that Chifuyu would allow it to happen since it involves her DNA and would inevitably pose a threat to Ichika.

it's hard to believe chifuyu & tabane had a friendship, that rival their little siblings & as for tabane posing a threat to ichika, i don't think that tabane know more about chifuyu that even her brother, but what will push the boundary is when ichika find out why he can pilot an IS unit, & learn more about how his family & phantom task little affliction, cuz i feel that madoka & his kidnapping r just only the tip of the iceberg it will affect him deeeply

either resulted in him completly losing his trust not only towards his sister, but also everyone else in the academy, along with his harem, but most of all, he'll end up ending his friendship with houki, but that just a wild guess

Ima stick with my idea and say Ichika is the original. Madoka is a unisex name so it could actually be Ichika. Ichika could be a fake name he just woke up to because if I remember he specifically said he doesn't remember anything from before he was 5 which is odd because normally you should remember at least one or two events and second because it was specifically written down for some reason. Though I forgot which medium of IS stated that Ichika held no memory from before he was five. And he was even narrating so it's more a self-confession than exposition.

Let's just take all of the information we know about Madoka and start from there.

1. When she first met with Ichika, she said, "I am you, Orimura Ichika." and, "In order for me to be myself....I'll take your life."
2. Squall: "Hey, M. Whether you're Orimura Madoka or not, I don't really care, but please maintain your identity as M while being a member of Phantom Task."
3. As she was about to kill Ichika in v10 "I can finally become Orimura Madoka!"
4. "Shut up... shut up... shut up shut up shut up! I-... I am Orimura, I am the final product (complete?) of Orimura Madoka!"

Based on this, we can be sure that she isn't really Madoka (yet?), and that there's actually another 'Madoka', whom she wants to become.

tittle or not, the only one who would know anything about the orimura family dark mysterious secrets is tabane; her & chifuyu used to be friends like houki & ichika, she knew about M after all
