^i kind of like and dislike mels moves,

like: because it is different than usual where even OP MCs will have struggles against enemys due to plot, or theyexcape because MC is to stupid

dislike: i wanted a really exciting fightwith harlequin and diane vs #1 fairyking and dolor

i doubt King or Diane could fight again those 2 though ( if King and Diane want to fight then they need training a lot)

i agree that they currently would be one-shotted by a serious attack but both had their training and it already dropped hints that a major power up will come along for this two,

king had the sound/pain coming from his back after disaster was reflected back to him, and diane was a natural talent in the earth dance technique, i wouldnt be suprised if both would grow about their current limits by a far shot while trying to survive against the two commandments

There are still many chances for them to fight later on...and I happen to agree with Ban, one does not simply walk to Meliodas' side as backup, unless it is a high noon Escanor, or Hawk after eating Escanor...if he could ever stomach that.

Yeah, Hawk shouldn't try to eat Escanor.

And yeah, since we haven't seen or heard about what Gloxinia's and Dolor's Commandments are, we probably shouldn't count them out completely yet. But I like the fact that we were told about their past with Meliodas (that they were his comrades before).

Now I want to know how and/or why they betrayed Meliodas.

I agree with Ban that it would be stupid for them to walk up to try and back him up right now. Ban has a good grasp of his limits right now. Until he can increase the limits of what he can absorb with physical hunt and probably get his sacred treasure back he can't even really act as a shield. This should be enough of a slap to the face for King that he has to get serious and train. The Sins outside of Escanor need to improve and in a hurry.

Sometimes I don't have a great grasp for Meliodas's current condition. Can he really not use full counter or anything while he's in demon form? Before it seemed like his being mindless is part of it, but is he just limited to direct attacks like that? If not I wouldn't be able to figure out why he didn't reflect Gloxinia's attack right back at him.

I'm glad to know about Gloxina's and Dolor's respective reasons for defecting. But I wonder how King and the others would react to it if they heard that those two were Meliodas' former comrades and that they defeated(?) the (former or current?) Demon King together?

As for Meliodas' Full Counter, I also want to know why he didn't use it here.

The sins really need to get stronger as right now only Mel and Escanor are capable of taking on the Commandments.

I still don't think that those two are finished just yet.

Yeah, it's possible that they aren't. We still don't about what abilities they each have, either (though I guess the author could just tell us about that through a flashback as well).

One technique used in the chapter was named "Jumonji". I also get why you'd think of Jumanji, but I don't think it's the same thing. Well, maybe it is? But in that case, it'd mean that the translator messed up in translating the Katakana (if it's written in Katakana).

@LevelSeven: Yeah, Escanor doesn't need to get any stronger. Controlling his power and learning more technique, maybe, but more power? No way. He's already powerful as hell.

Hawk wants to help Mel, but Ban holds him back, saying that there's currently no one else strong enough to back up the Sin of Wrath. Matrona still wants to stay and fight for the sake of the children she raised, but Diane convinces her to not risk herself. The magician Gilfrost then uses his magic to teleport everyone caught in Dolor's trap to somewhere safe..... .....the safe place in question being Liones castle! Gilfrost then conjures a crystal so everyone can watch the rest of Mel's fight. The Sin of Wrath impales Gloxinia, then slices apart Dolor, ending the match in his victory. It looks like the tournament has finally reached its conclusion....!!! Geez, so Mel finished those two off after all? Kinda anti-climactic, but whatever. I still kinda doubt this is the end for the both of them though, especially after finding out that the both of them were former comrades of Mel's. Plus, we still don't know how their commandment curses work.....
