Is Shanks a really great pirate??! I mean is he "The" King?

Cuz i really goddamnit liked him so great and his pirate crew too just awesome!!

I watched till episode 32 so don't spoil something

Yes, he's a great pirate.

About IPv6-san question, Shanks is the Capt. of the Red Hair pirates. He's the guy who saved Luffy at his childhood.

i dont think Shanks is related to Luffy at all, i did at the beginning of the series, but now im leaning towards Gold Roger being Luffy's father, if not, then related some way, same goofy ass smile, and hair color

Shank is strong and make you wonder how he got that claw mark scar. And I believe he doesn't even has devil fruit power. Now that is some power he got there. Beside being strong he is just too funny and easy going. Got to like him for that. You would like shank more when u saw eps 45. I know I sure did.

Well, Shanks could be weak, he just has so much charisma that he managed to gather an incredibly strong crew, which is why hes so great. Although this is unlikely, since he already as the charisma, it'd make sense to have him powerful.

edit:I have a question Can Hawk Eyes beat Gold Roger and is the current Pirate king(i don't know if there is one i assume there is or do you need to have the one piece) stronger then Gold Roger?

Uh... not at all.
We're pretty sure Gold Roger was the strongest and the most famous pirate ever. A single person of the Shichibukai wouldn't be able to beat him.

There's no current "pirate king". The next pirate king will be the one who finds One Piece. But the most famous pirates right now are...

Anyways, Shanks isn't Luffy's dad. He's a super famous pirate from the same village as Luffy, but he's not his father- and it would suck if he was.

well shanks isnt weak, after all........

luffy is not the 3rd most famous. The shichibukais are. Luffy's crew does have like one of the highest bounty in the world tho. Luffy himself has a higher bounty than the entire Arlong crew.
