I will say that, even if this filler arc completely fails, it still won't dent FT much in my mind, because 90% of it has been fairly awesome so far. I don't expect perfection, so every series is gonna have something bad about it in my eyes. But FT's good stuff far outweighs the little bit of bad stuff.

However, I expect this filler arc to be at least decent.

My only real fear is that they'll end up alternating manga and filler arcs, which will really stretch the anime out(like Bleach). Or end up taking a break which won't revive the viewership when it returns (like Gintama). So my hope is that the manga will wrap up in another 2-3 arcs at most. At least, the main story. Then, if still popular, one can always do a spin-off or sequel.

Like what others said. It doesn't have filler so it's more enjoyable.

yeah... the latest episode 125... is a filler and a new filler arc is going to go on for at least 21 episodes until the manga has gone far enought ;(
though i hope the fillers dont go over board ^_^

I like the manga for the same reason I like any other shonen I guess? Idealized romanticism, action, vibrant characters, and heartwarming-ness among other things.

Because majority of the characters are likeable.

The major factor is that they author doesn't waste time to continue the story.
With each new season, it seems as though the anime's quality just gets better and better.

fairy tail is one of my fav ,i love it because

it has awsome characters, it is so much funny, the art, the colors, the music, the animation
it has so much plot in it ,the series has so much to offer that it doesn't feel repetative

the main lead is not weak but not very strong either, there are others who are way more powerful than him

and the emotional touch it has is so good ,when combined with it's music it always makes me cry

it is the best shounen series that could ever take place

hmm... it's because of two reasons :

1. It's Hiro Mashima!!! yeah!!! I love Rave Master and it's become one of my best childhood manga

2. Lots of character and they're developed.... I really love this guildies setting.... just say I fall in love with this manga since first chapter... xD

so, whatever happens with that kind of timeloop or spinning plot, I'll see and watch this manga till the end

I don't really know yet other than maybe the humor I guess. The characters are interesting too. The last shounen anime I tried was One Piece but I had to take a break from that after just watching 19 eps. So far I'm closing in on that number for FT and I don't have the urge to drop it so it's doing something right.

Magic. Boobs. Magic. Boobs. Boobs. And some more Magic done by someone with Boobs.

More seriously it's just that I like the atmosphere in the manga and the humor, also the concept of magic in this manga is interesting... and Boobs of course!

I for one love the scenes in the manga where everyone is just hanging out at the guild and having fun. I even love those opening splash pages with characters posing and whatnot. It just makes them feel more alive, plus it provides so much expression in so little space. That and there are some background events that are flat-out adorable (you can spot Erza cuddling Asuka when they were last at their lodging and doing stuff). Some of the filler even has some cute moments (like Makarov giving Asuka a piggy-back ride and having this adorable grandpa-like smile on his face as the tyke pulled on his old man whiskers).

Fairy Tail is my favourite shonen because:

-good design, especially the manga
-an awesome soundtrack, one of bests OST for a shonen
-cool characters
-good rythm
-some epic moments/fights
-some emotion

Problems are: story which is not so interesting and the fanservice.

I got instantly hooked by the first OP, Snow Fairy.

Lucy is one of my all time favorite characters.

It's the funniest series I've seen in a long time.

I like all the characters' individual stories.

Mashima knows how to pull my strings to get me pumped, to make me cry or laugh and to piss me off.

Pace. Fairy Tail has a constant often fast pace that is, while slightly detrimental to what little character development there is, always fairly fun. It does help that Ezra is one of the more useful female characters in Shounen...

Erza is pretty much Mashima's Mary Sue. She can do no wrong

Good story.
Good mix of action, fantasy, comedy, adventure.
Character design, likable characters, character development and relationships.
Fight scenes.

Right now this is one of my favorite series to watch. Please let Toonami pick it up eventually.

characters are well blended, they don't focus on the main 100%... they take note of the sub-main characters too.

they have touching moments... not too much of pure romance... which sometimes give goosebumps~

have good-looking male characters =D LAXUS!!
