Poor Elfsborgs IF, they´re from Borås on the Swedish west coast, playing Valencia. They´ve couldn´t have gotten a more suicidal mission than this one. Sweden won´t have a competitor in Champions League this year either.

But on the other hand, I cheer for Valencia in the Spanish league and this just means they´re getting an easy stroll into the group stage. And Arsenal shouldn´t really have any problems with Sparta Praha even though they´re an opponent to take serious.

Sparta Prague. Not bad, its good that we avoided the tougher teams. I'm sure we'll beat them.

FH Hafnarfjördur or FC BATE Borisov v Zaglebie Lubin or Steaua Bucharest
My team will probably play with Bate Borisov in the third round, a very good draw of us

Hmm, Toulouse huh? Well, despite what the English papers say, it isn't exactly a bad draw for Liverpool, compared to Rangers, Celtic and Arsenal, plus the fact that it's only a short air (or train) journey to France means the Reds don't have to worry about the time difference, but still, best to show some respect and prudence for a Ligue 1 team.

OTOH, the media thinks just because France's Euro ranking is high they think that any French team is tough, while disregarding the dominance of Lyon in recent years. No disrespect intended to anyone from Toulouse, but if Liverpool can't beat them, then they don't deserve to be in the Champions League.

Spoiler for rant on perceived media bias:

Sparta Prague are pretty much Champions League regulars, let's see how Arsenal can cope with life after Henry.

Both Scottish clubs too have it tough, Celtic vs Spartak Moscow and Rangers vs possibly Red Star Belgrade, both Eastern European powerhouses.

These two ties also look quite juicy:
Fenerbahce vs Anderlecht
Sevilla vs AEK Athens

Looks like the transfer of Tevez to Manchester United has been confirmed.

Well as a frenchman who has not much interest in Liverpool (or any other english team for that matter), I can tell you Toulouse suck and it would be a huge surprise if they went through

They managed to grab the 3rd place because they have been consistent the whole season at an averagely good level while better teams (OM, Lens and Rennes) had long periods when they played terribly.

They have only two players of international class. The Swedish international striker Elmander (who might even be gone when TFC plays Liverpool) and the defensive midfielder Achille Emana. The right back (Ebondo) is good, but not great. The rest of the players are your average L1 players you except to find in a midtable team at best.
The new season starts tomorrow and I don't think I have seen a journalist expecting them to finish in the top 5 next year.

Last time Arsenal played Sparta, we beat them 2-0 away and 3-0 at home. That was 2 seasons ago.

Arsenal win 1-0!!! Guess who scored? Yes v.Persie again. Clichy was superb, he ran through the whole left side of Ajax.

And to think he only cost 3million, and was hardly known. What a buy. This is a prime example why Arsenal fans should keep trust in Wenger. In a few years time, Fabregas will be the best in the world (at his position), v.Persie will be world class, Vela will mature into a class player as will Denilson. Future is looking bright
