The fact that Shirou's still adopted implies his parents still died somehow. So while he didn't go through the traumatic event that completely defines him in FSN, he presumably still has some tragedy in his background that he had to cope with as a youth, unlike Illya in this timeline.

That's reassuring that they at least intend to give the material it's proper showing. Hopefully we will indeed see it this Winter, or next spring by the latest.

Yeah, here's hoping it's winter. If they want to dodge the FSN adaptation coming out it's really winter or after the second of that one airs. Either way, I'd like to see this second part sooner than later.

Though given by what we know about UBW, I'm not sure which option is better

Episode 11 comes out in April so it would be very weird if the next season were to start earlier than that.
Summer again seems likely, especially with Illya even talking in the episode of how there are going to be lots of events in summer... NA! TSU!

It's possible that it'll be produced as ep 11 of 2wei Herz (if it airs in winter already), but it's more likely that it was already produced as ep 11 of 2wei.
