YenPress has now announced their new licenses, and sadly not Umineko... They've got Durarara!! and Kore wa Zombie Desu Ka?, which are both adaptions of original anime series, right? I guess I shouldn't complain too much, Umineko manga is after all an adaption too. Maybe they're not planning to release it before Higurashi ends. By the way, do they release chapters monthly in their magazine? If so, does that mean that Umineko starts in the magazine first and we get the first volume only after 5 months? How has it been with Higurashi?
EDIT: Well I looked into what their magazine offers and it seems it's mostly manga by non-japanese creators, with only K-On!, Yotsuba&! and the now-ending Highschool of the Dead being japanese. Looks like they don't release all their series in the magazine, so I think I can expect the every other month approach from the get-go. To battle22, the manga volumes are released in that way because in Japan they have the multiple episodes running in different manga magazines, at the same time, though with different starting dates. This is actually for the better, because if it the release was linear, we would be only getting one chapter a month which would make the overall progress slower. Now we get about 3-4 chapters a month because of the episodes being released simultaneously. They release a bunch of volumes twice a year, when they have released enough chapters for them to be collected in new volumes. |

Episode 2 is complete by now, the complete 5th volume was released at the end of 2010. Episode 3 has 2 chapters left that ran in the magazines and the Tea Party + the Hidden Tea Party seem to be left for the volume release (just like they did with every other Episode)...which should follow August 21st or 22nd if they cotinue their usual release rythm. Episode 4 is still running as everyone knows. I really do wonder how long it's going to take for the Chiru arcs to be finished, because their way of protraying certain events seems pretty different among each other. Somehow I'm "affraid" that EP6 might end up finished before EP5 |

On the Square-Enix web is available the new chapter of Ep4 which has Ange dealing with Eva Beatrice and her aunt Kasumi.
http://www.square-enix.com/jp/magazi...comic/umineco/ There's also a preview of the new chap of Ep 6 which has George dealing with Eva Beatrice. Sadly it isn't the full chapter. *sighs* what I wanted to see was the part in which Kirye and Jessica... ;_; http://www.square-enix.co.jp/magazine/gfantasy/ |

Hi everyone, I need to ask you guys help for something...
You see, about the umineko raws that were missing, I actually found someone who will provide WTDND raws so that we can finally finish episode 2 and continue 3 and the others without problems The problem is that the guy who will do this said that he has too many magazines, so he wants me to tell him the exactly month that the chapters we need were released, so that he can scan it for us. Since I know that people here always know how to discover this kind of thing, I've came to ask for help. the chapters are: Episode 2 – from chapter 24 to the last one Episode 3 – chapter 10 Episode 6 – Chapter 5 and the rest does anyone knows/remember the months when these chapters were released? edit: i've just noticed I forgot to put these two chapters links here.... Episode 4 Chapter 22 Episode 7 chapter 04

Easy things first.
Chapters of Dawn of the Golden Witch should be on the GFantasy of the months: April - chap 5 May - chap 6 June - chap 7 July - chap 8 August - chap 9 September - chap 10 (note that the month is the one written on the cover, no idea if it match with it's selling date) Chapters of Banquet of the Golden Witch were on Gangan Joker from: October 2009 to July 2011 I've not yet found if there were months in which Umineko wasn't printed though... ^_^; It's reasonable to assume chap 9 was on the number of June 2010 though. Chapters of Turn of the Golden Witch were on GFantasy from: August 2008 to October 2010 I've not yet found if there were months in which Umineko wasn't printed though but since we miss only chap 24 & 25 plus the tea parties I think there are really few magazines to check since I was told that the number of October 2010 contains the 2 tea parties, which would means to search only for chap 24 & 25... ^_^; I hope this helped! Are people still in need of scans of Episode 6? I can search the local japanese book stores (including a fairly large Kinokuya) to see if they have anything. If those are actually in book form, that is, and not magazine. Though if you know what magazine its in as well, I can look for that too.

Episode 6 is published in the magazine, GFantasy. Episode 6 is out in tankoubon form for Volume 1. The second volume will be released in December. If Kinokuniya does not hold a particular book or magazine in stock, you can ask the clerks about it and they will put in a special order for you. (And yes, I've done this many times with them before...)
