I'm not entirely sure what kind of category this would fall into, but... well, I don't mean to stereotype, but this article seems to re-enforce the opinion of people of how uber Asians/those of Asian descent are...

Signs of Changes Taking Hold in Electronics Factories in China

Other reforms were more personal. Protective foam sprouted on low stairwell ceilings inside factories. Automatic shut-off devices appeared on whirring machines. Ms. Pu got her chair. This autumn, she even heard that some workers had received cushioned seats.
To me, thoses thing seem so basic...

If this is casted Hetalia Axis style 21st century, SK and Japan would be like twin lolis who can't get along and US being the onii-chan; at a loss of how to resolve their disputes.

Most K-pop lovers are, IMO, those who want to be "in" and "cool". When this K-wave blows over, the only people left are those who are nerd enough to delve deep into their cultures.

It is no different from the J-wave last century. Only the nerds are left.

Could be. China is opening up and modernising, though their sensitivity towards human rights and ability to do things the non-exploitative way are not seen at best.

Give them a couple of decades more. Either that or the ball will bounce back to Japan, or SEA will be the next one catching it.

France counts 1,193 cars torched on New Year's Eve
http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories...MPLATE=DEFAULT
Quote:
PARIS (AP) -- A New Year's Eve tradition for some in France of torching empty, parked cars has continued.

Interior Minister Manuel Valls said Tuesday that 1,193 vehicles were burned overnight around the country, where the stunt began in the 1990s.

From what I have read, it is TRADITION that has started since the 1990s. Torching cars seem to be some sort of replacement for setting off fireworks there.

Connecticut town holds drive to collect and destroy violent video games

Quote:
A small community about 30 miles from the site of the Newtown massacre is organizing a voluntary video game return program, aimed at collecting violent video games from families and likely burning them.

The Violent Video Games Return Program offers up gift certificates in exchange for violent games, music and movies turned in during an event later this month.
