Gotta ask if this makes some sense. So I'm gonna try to base IS/cosmic energy hybrid units on stars. The most basic unit is called the Adhara. Basically imagine all black units with demonic winged visages. The headgear resembles a miter. Haven't gotten around to arming them yet but they are similar to Rafaels that they are reliant on hand carried weapons. The chest plate resembles a planetarium. Most IS/cosmic energy hybrids will have this. It will denote their rank and mode.

The naming scheme of these units will be by the modern name of stars. Greek lettering will determine their rank.

A unit's rank can be determined from the number of stars lit up on their chest plates. Each unit can only be activated a nset number of times before judgement or a forced shift must occur. failure leads to dehumanization, success means moving into the next stage. By increasing in rank, a unit gains another star on its chest plate and that star's name is added onto the unit as well. Though it is common to name the unit by its latest addition.

The benefits of increasing in rank can be felt in two ways. First is the access to Constellations. Constellations are accessed when the necessary number of stars or ranks are reached by a unit. This gives the unit access to an alternative form. Each constellation has its own strengths and weaknesses and can only be used for a limited period amount of time pending on compatibility.

The second benefit is more passive in nature. The best way to describe it is as if the unit had grown another core. Increase in energy production, complex calculation power, memory storage, etc.

No star nor constellation is unique to one unit. However it is difficult to replicate stars and constellations exactly due to compatibility issues.

Does this all make sense?

Probably a little too cliche so I really need a new style.

Just find it more natural and less disruptive.....

To start a story...Usually it would be a summary about IS, or a sudden action (falling from the sky,...), dreams, e.g. I tend to stick with a quote or dialouge.

Tabane's answer to Ichika's dense: Re-arrange his molecular structure!

...Or just use some kind of "Love Nucleus Amplyfier".

Depends on the kind of story you're going with. Me going with a serious-esque story, I'm going for Flashback of a battle that took place prior to the story.

I think I have just the situation/scene. I posted it a while ago, perhaps when you weren't as active then compared to now.

I'll repost it if you want, but I don't have time for it right now.

But I'll atleast tell you this; for one of my guys, it's being out done. Not fighting against each other, but by each other's side. He didn't fight as well compared to the Canon characters in a particular fight.

Just thinking (because I'm stuck on my Muv-luv fic and suddenly watched the PVs of Aoki Hagane No Arpeggio)...hrm. Life would be easier for the girls if Ichika was more like Gunzou Chihaya.

As Zero would always say: Depends on the portrayal.

For my case, yes I do have my OC, with some difficulty, trash drone copies of the CC's machines, but he ends up losing to one genuine IS in an all-out duel. And he was also using the most advanced unit at his disposal at that point.

And yes, soon after I'm also planning to have him going up against the CCs once more, alongside an upgraded Silverio Gospel.

But from her own perspective, she's really some kind of bland-looking extra compared to, say, "the unique, beautiful girls ensemble over there" (Houki & co). Especially prevalent whenever she's in the proximity of Tatenashi (who is better than her even in everything)

Yes, the irony is strong here.

Hey, could I borrow the "Janitor" idea? Finally found a way to insert Ichika into ISA. Maybe I would even made Charles as a chef.

@SEED: The fact that she is "Another Ichika" and promotes Narcissism (in a way) is enough for me!
