because if I remember it right it just say end or something....... I don't remember seeing a divider on it.

The silent to small fire doesn't have a dividing part. Just a chunks of text. You know with different parties talking in the last part. The Author should just put 1 or 2 a dividing part but he didn't.... lack of time? I don't know.

It's kinda confusing when the story shifts to different party

wow talking about fast. Fast translation. I was reading it up just a couple of minutes ago after watching episode 3. And by that time it's not yet finish. But only up to the point of when Lucia and Angelene helps Touma and Orsola against the nuns.

Thanks as always for the fast and consistent translations. This volume is getting more and more action packed. Loved that double diversion tactic. And that radar-sonar document thing was pretty cool. It's no wonder that they don't even try to use present-day tech. Magic is like several decades ahead.

Cosmic translate only the part where touma collided with the angel while flare translate the whole part.

Though I remember that their is still a bit onto that part.

yeah...Flere has the whole part. And yup, Japanese and Mandarin translations have slight differences...also the way we chose to translate it into English impacts a lot. Because literal translations for some lines don't make much sense in english...

But simply put the holy right as an omnipotent ability. That's the best way to describe it. It matches the opponents ability.

For the Imagine breaker shows absolute negation of super natural abilities the holy right is the power to absolute conquer everything.

If fiamma sets you as a target for the holy right thanks through index knowledge because without the controller of index Fiamma can't access the knowledge needed to control holy right.

And when holy right is set on it's target.... jet let it do it's job. It's a one hit KO attack to begin with. Just like divine punishment of vent.

Yes...it's in the early part of the Broken Right hand chapter. Before the explanation on Fianma not needing factors of battle and how Holy Right wins victory the moment Fianma uses it etc etc... Academy tried to take him out with a laser strike from orbit.

The Third Arm dissipated the shot and took out the satelites....

Which also goes to show that if Academy really wanted to they could obliterate any non-godlike enemy at will...

When fighting Touma, he was largely using destructive beams that Touma deflected as he could not negate them. The Third Arm uses sword attacks as well.

Later on, Fianma uses Holy Right to launch a Telesma strike to wipe out Eurasia.

Summary of the Kanzaki SS Part 2:

The Church received intel about a magic cabal preparing a spiritual device (or watever reisou is supposed to be in English) of mass destruction on an island in the Micronesia. They sent Kanzaki in to completely destroy the device, stop the cabal's plan, and to kill or capture the mastermind behind it. As a result, Kanzaki, the jeans shop owner and the tour guide lady went to the Uphill Island (アップヒル島, not sure if "Uphill" is the correct English name) to investigate and resolve the issue.

Uphill Island was originally just a chunk of rock sticking out of the ocean with only 3 meters in diameter. But 50 years ago, an underwater volcano eruption caused a plate movement, then the current Island was formed. Because of this, Uphill Island is seen as an irregular and a bad omen to the surrounding islands, and so they don't have a good relationship with each other. Also, the locals on Uphill Island have developped a belief that "people who live here are good, people who come from outside are bad" and generally do not like visitors, making investigation even harder.

After some investigation, it looks like that the local religion is influenced by the "cargo cult" religions. The locals think that the good things given to the surrounding islands were originally meant for the new island as a blessing fgrom the Gods, but the other islands stole them. It's as if the locals are all preparing something to take those blessings back by force.

At first they suspected that the locals are all involved in this mass destruction magic plan, but this idea was dismissed quickly. Then they tried to figure out what religion that spiritual device is based on. It couldn't be the Island's modified version of cargo cult, since it's relatively new compared to the other branches on the other islnds, and it doesn't have a record of large scale magic activity. It also couldn't be the main religion of the surrounding islands (believing in the blessings of the sea), since all the important artificts of that religion are on the other islands, and this island does not have priests (or equivalent) of that religion. In the end, they figured that it's most likely something left on that 3 meter rock by Christians during the Age of Discovery, before the island was formed.

Later, Kanzaki arrived at that rock alone. It's in a part of the island with no settlements. There, she saw a 10-year-old girl (name was never given) who appears to be another English magician doing something at the rock. When Kanzaki was about to fight, the girl invited her to come take a look at what's on the rock.

It's not something left by Christians, but rather, it's a set of runes. However, it doesn't have any magical meaning to it, since it's more like the Japanese "a i u e o" table. The girl explained that it's something related to Norse myth. During the Age of Discovery, Christianity was forced upon many nations. That set of runes was left by believers of the Norse religion on territory that was not yet coverd by Christianity, in hopes to keep their religion alive.

The girl explained that she came to this island to investigate the impacts that her religion had in different cultures. After deducing that the girl is not a threat, and that there must be another magician on the island, Kanzaki gave the girl an amulat sort of thing for her to wear on her neck to track her position (so in case there is magic activity on the island, she can prove that she was not there) and to communicate with Kanzaki in case of an emergency. Then the girl suggested that the real culprit is someone who can cause a great flood that can wash everything, since this is probably what the locals want to happen because of the treatment they get from the surrounding islands.

Just as Kanzaki was about to leave the girl and go search for the real mastermind, the girl triggered a red flood which swallowed the part of the island that they are on, avoiding herself but washing Kanzaki away into sea. The water that washed her away is red and has an unnatural consistency, making it harder to move around in the red water. This spell is called Ymir's Ocean (for those interested, I suggest you look Up Ymir yourself, as I'll probably make some mistakes if I attempt to explain the myth), which allows her to control the water and salt in the ocean. In order to use this, she'll have to change the salt concentration of her own blood to match that of the ocean's, since the ocean was created from Ymir's blood in Norse myth. However, if she does that, she'll definitely damager her own organs. So she concentrated all the salty blood in blood vessels in her hand, and stopped it from flowing to other parts of the body. Of course, this means she has to restrict the flow of her blood, so she cannot use this spell for a long duration.

After being washed away, Kanzaki reappeared on top of the water, on waterskis (she hid her sword in a waterski case, so she probably had real waterskis in there too). She explained that Ullr (aka Ollerus), who is known as the god of hunting and skiing, was among the gods who were not swallowed by Ymir's flood. In other words, as long as she's on Skis, Ymir's flood will not sink her.

The girl then told Kanzaki the reason why she's doing this. Originally, she really did come here for research. She skimped on the people-clearing magic (whatever that's supposed to be called in English) because she didn't expect people to come, and in order to prevent the sea water from eroding the rock, she used her magic to control the water current. However, she was seen controlling the water. Because of this, the locals think she is the key for the island to gain power, and the surrounding islands think that they are going to be swallowed by a flood. In this situation, if she leaves the island without doing anything, everyone on the island will definitely be killed by people of the surrounding islands. This is why she can't leave.

The girl then proceeded to create salt pillars to attack Kanzaki, but she dodged them all. When Kanzaki had the chance, she used the force of an emerging salt pillar and leaped into the air. Then she dodged a few more salt pillars in mid-air. After Kanzaki landed, the girl went full force and sent a large wave towards her. However, this pushed Kanzaki towards the island. Then Kanzaki headed straight for the girl while on skis and knocked her out with one hit.

After the girl regained consciousness, Kanzaki offered the girl to leave quitely with her. Then they hear loud cheers from different parts of the island. The locals are cheering because after seeing the red flood in action, they are confident that this power can help them destroy the enemy.

In the end, the girl decided to stay and try to resolve the issue without using the red flood.

to all translator working on to aru novels - seriusly guys, you have my utmost respect for what you are doing. I tried to translate a SINGLE page from railgun mini novel, and it took me with my zero jap skills 5 hours, it was not a problem to search a word in several dictionaries, but to get an understandable meaning out of that absolutely crazy sentences was like hell. Then i checked how much it will cost if i want to get it translated and uhm 20cent per word (about 10k dollars per novel cca).. And you guys are doing it for free, thats really something.

Heh...now you know how hard it is......vocab is the least of your worries actually. Worst is advanced grammar like rhetorical expressions, double negatives, idioms etc...You could be breezing through the pages like nothing when you read but when you need to turn that into English......utter nightmare.





And what the hell, there's a Railgun novel?!

Yes. It was an 8-part SS that came with the Index S1 DVDs. There are also some other Railgun short stories.

yes there is a railgun novel, it has 212 pages divided into 8 parts, each is called respectively "the 1st,2nd...8th story", its about a "vacation" on a artificial island near US west coast and the entire island is a big theme park, with a bunch of terrorists. They meet Xochitl, then fight a bit and later free the prisoners.

Uhm what short stories? I heard only about this light novel, another one should come with the index II blue ray, where mikoto will be in rusia with lessar.

well i got 8years spanish, 6years english, +my own native language and its derivation. But trying to do jap to en, that was on a whole different lv.

oh yeah i didnt added a 0 there, its not 1k per novel, but cca 10k in the standard translator tax you can find on internet.

Spanish to English is easier because it's a lot closer to English as a language. (Also, I recall some website that ranked languages difficulty to learn based on where you live, from 1–5.) Knowing both languages well will obviously help a lot, like English is a fairly complicated language with a simple alphabet, but you don't need to be good with sentence structure and grammar to convey what you mean (though it really helps).

I can`t believe I will be posting here using a psp. my computer is dead and kami is kami for using his pfp. translating from spanish to engling is a lot easier than translating moon runes. thanks for translation and I can`t view the spoiler here in the psp. better read the one in BT.
