The only thing that's good for Mega Audino is for Double/Triple Battles which is the de jure form of Pokemon battling at most.

Do you think Game Freak would take a peek at Smogon rules? Doubt that in my opinion.

Oh come on, that is only one pokemon, there is alot of more Mega that isn't the best or just plain sucks.

They better give Mega Slowbro the move Rapid Spin, I don't think there exists a pokemon more suitable for that move.
My guess is it will get big boosts in Sp.Atk and Def.

Unfortunately, Mega Evolutions don't change Move Pools.

I'm not sure if this is the place to mention this, but apparently Nintendo is announcing a new Pokemon project (something related to the franchise) on Tuesday (August 26th) at 10PM JST. I wonder what it is... And apparently it is a surprising announcement... whatever that means...

Point taken. However, the issue still remains that using 'banned' Pokemon creates a stigma against those who end up using them. As someone who loves Mega Mawile, it's really annoying.
