Manga 'The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague' is getting a TV anime.

Synopsis

Himuro is an office worker who belongs to a race of supernatural beings with strange powers. Whenever he is deep in concentration, he subconsciously plunges his poor coworkers into a close rendition of the Arctic. Even so, contrary to his icy powers, Himuro is a warm and kind person. He likes flowers and cats, but alas, he cannot get too close to either.

Himuro has a soft spot for his colleague Fuyutsuki, a calm woman who has a knack for providing simple solutions to his unconventional problems. Whenever Fuyutsuki does something for him, a snowstorm of emotions builds inside Himuro's heart, and he fails to notice the raging snowstorm he causes on the office floor.

Thanks to his snowy tantrums, Himuro's feelings are apparent to everyone but Fuyutsuki. However, fueled by immense adoration and desire, Himuro is prepared to do whatever it takes to capture her heart.

What's funny is it'll be airing at the same time as In/Spectre season 2 which is doing it's own Yuki-Onna story .

A pretty and relaxing office romance with multiple couples and a supernatural twist! Even the Opening is a pleasure to listen too with it's soft theme and soothing visuals !

Yui Ishikawa sure knows how to voice cool beauties! And Fuyutsuki definitely lives up to that ideal, being a very stoic, yet attractive, young woman but whom is a little self-conscious about how unemotional everyone sees her as...but then, amidst the Cherry Blossoms, she has that fateful romantic encounter...with a guy frozen in place .

I love how they just treat him being descended from a Yuki-Onna and frozen in place so casually. And Fuyutsuki goes out of her way to help Himuro, which endears her to him, and Himuro's character and abilities catch Fuyutsuki's eye. It's a good start to their relationship .

Chiaki Kobayashi turning up the charm as Himuro! He may come off like a cool and stoic guy, but he's very warm and passionate, especially when his feelings for Fuyutsuki come into play and make his powers act up. Bonus points for when his accent acts up .

Oh snap, it's Raku and Rui! Well, same VA's, but still! It's always fun when Uchiyama gets to play a more energetic character like Saejima and Komori is utterly adorable! And I'm not just saying that because of her fox tail and ears! I'm looking forward to seeing more of their relationship .

So the humans and the Yokai just treat working together in an office like it's the most natural thing in the world. Then again their section chief looks like a statue of Buddha .

It seems pretty inconvenient to have ice powers that can effect your surroundings depending on your mood and prevent you from touching or getting close to most things...though the snowmen that randomly pop up are adorable !

You know she's a keeper when she goes out of her way to help you get around the hangups with your powers! And in turn Fuyutsuki sees how much of a great guy Himuro is when he goes out of his way to help Saejima .

An Okinawa trip? Could we hit the beach this early too? I kind of wonder what's up with Himuro and Okinawa .

A pretty pleasant and relaxing ED with a nice illustration of Fuyutsuki and Himuro sharing coffee together! I wonder if they might change the ED illustration and use the other couples later on ?

Seems like a nice enough romcom and I always like a workplace setting. Was amused when the little snowmen started popping out. Could be a light fun watch for this season.

Ok, I'll admit to immediately worrying about this girl's survival odds after seeing the flower scene. Are we sure this guy has enough emotional control to avoid accidentally killing her ?

Which I'll admit is way too serious a thought for this show . It's a nice and cute show. Nothing hugely impactful and the OP song is kind of a snooze. But it's cute and should be a nice show to watch when not wanting anything too heavy.

After greatly enjoying workplace romcoms thanks to Wotakoi (and being sad that Rikei ga Koi isn't that great, even in the manga), I decided to pick this one up. And I think that the first episode probably gave us an overdose of the usual antics between the two "couples". I can tolerate it a bit, hoping that they did this to have it toned down like in Shikimori-san. Here's to hoping that we don't get frostbite quickly.

I think that's the first time I've seen a guy so excited at the prospect of a beach episode that they're afraid they might cause a blizzard in Okinawa .

Find a girl who will go so out of her way to help you live more comfortably and would look so longingly at you while saying she'd miss you on the company retreat! Himuro's falling more and more in love! It's enough to possibly give a guy the wrong idea...or the right idea, as Fuyutsuki's feelings feel more clear .

I think that's the first time I've seen a training arc just so a guy can go to the beach. Like Himuro really committed so he could get to go on it and be with Fuyutsuki! Commendable! .

Speaking of, I'm glad we did get to see the cast actually hit the beach! Fuyutsuki and Komori in bikini's! And Fuyutsuki is rocking that bikini and jean shorts look !

Many in Okinawa will remember the day it inexplicably snowed for a night, but Himuro will probably remember most that it was the same night he and Fuyutsuki stumbled into each other, brought trinkets together, and had a bit of a shopping date .

Oh, so Himuro melting wasn't just a joke, it's something that almost actually happened to him in this episode. And when he melts, he reverts ages too (though I like how his internal thoughts were his actual age). Fuyutsuki took Smol!Himuro in stride though, snagging a pic, helping him cool off, and getting in some nice head pats while she can .

Himuro and Fuyutsuki seem way more aware of their feelings now, which is nice, although now they're leaving us off on a cliffhanger of the possibility that the cast will be separated by episode 3! Things were going so well for Himuro! Though I doubt it actually happens, but it'll be interesting to see what Himuro does with the prospect of being separated from Fuyutsuki .
