Its not the only one. Okawara designed the Alvatore/Alvaaron too, along with the Reborns Gundam.

And Okawara's newer designs tend to sell less models then other designers'... His designs from Gundam Wing weren't nearly as popular as Katoki's, and both Gundam X and Gundam Seed Destiny underperformed when it came to model sales. Plus the most popular kits from Seed were the ones that were originally designed by BEECRAFT.

i have a question about the wings on the gaia gundam. can they be removed in MS mode as a sword? i know it might a slightly stupid question but they really do remind me of antiship swords.

Nope. They're only able to be used when the Gaia Gundam transforms.

Well yeah. green visor and all. But, I never saw any type of note that stated Okawara was the one that drew it.

If you think/feel you should watch Gundam Seed first, go ahead.

But I don't think it'll matter that much. A friend of mine watched GSD first (then Gundam Seed later) and still enjoyed Destiny as it is.

Yeah thats what I was wondering, didn't know if I was missing a whole lot. All I got was it was 2 years later. Thanks I'll probably just stay with GSD, seeing how im already into the series, then ill see about GS.

dont worry if you see destiniy first. you'll get a nearly complete summary of gundam seed anyways. though i do like gundam seed better than destiny.

Was the rumor that Turn A Gundam intended to be last Gundam series in its franchise but they screwed up and make Gundam Seed(2002) instead?

Can you clarify what you're asking? If you want to know if Turn A was supposed to be the last (at least as far as Tomino is concerned) then it's probably true just going by what's been said in this forum (brightman or some other members might confirm it for you). But I don't think there was any screw up in intending to continue the gundam franchise as far as the company involved is concerned.

imo i think it was intended to be the death of the UC era. gundam is like naruto or bleach, its just too popular to die out just like that. it was still steong enough to drop the whole concept altogether to get as much $ out of the viewers.

Wasn't it mentioned somewhere that Tomino was rather unhappy with Sunrise for giving the go-ahead for SEED, saying he created Turn A to end Gundam?

No, what he said was that he created Turn A to unite Gundam, at least according to Fukuda. So it could be that he was just pissed off at the fact that SEED was another AU.

Are there any signs of Tomino working, or at least showing interest in working on another Gundam series?

He did Ring of Gundam

But he mostly seem resigned to the fact that Gundam will be the responsibility of people younger than him, judging from his interviews.

He has nothing to do with Unicorn. Harutoshi Fukui is the novelist.
