Quote:
For each naked Shunrei scene the original had, there would be three bath scenes with Shun, Saga and Misty. Most of those were fillers, but then again, i guess it was the anime art style that popularized the series as such. |

Not fair using The Rose of Versailles as comparison considering that's a shojo manga and that is also Araki's strength. Though, truth be told Kuramada's style isn't that far from 80's shojo either. SS is definitely a bishonen series disguised as an action Shonen much like Reborn and Prince of Tennis is in recent years.
I still remover the shock I had when I realized that Shun is a man(there was a HUGE debate between my friends back then when it was still in serialization.) and that all bronze saints as 13-14 years old and most gold saints are in their late teen... Not to mention the whole my-body-is perfect and naked Lizard Misty or other saints that has ambiguous sex representation from Shun to all characters with harps and of course Pisces Aphorodite and those are just the basics...

There will be a new PS3 game (Saint Seiya Brave Soldiers), and it's being said to have characters from Omega and Lost Canvas. Some sources are saying Kouga is confirmed as a playable character, although the first scan shows only characters from the original series.

Well I liked it plenty up until the sanctuary arc sucked up about a third of the shows time with throwaway fights that could have been better used fleshing out characters that were actuallygoing to matter in the long run. it felt almost like a tale of two shows you had the free flowing and open ended first half that gave the viewer a variety of scenarios and developments then the formulaic and regimented second half that wasted all that was built up on monster of the week crap. If toei absolutely had to use there usual motw filler formula it would have been better to do it at the start while introducing the Martians then save the second half for important more free flowing stuff. Its like they had no idea where to take the show after Aria died.

Apparently the rumors that Koga and Tenma will be in the game are fake. Some articles only confirm the five main characters and the series' three main villains: Saga, Poseidon and Hades.
Also, for the ones interested, Episode G ended in Japan. |

Episode 62.... I don't know what to say about it. I displayed some rage last weeks but I don't know how to take it. If they did it because this is war I'm okay. If they did it because it as an excuse to bring back Shiryu I'm gonna rage some more.
Also about episode 63, the ones who liked Seiya's potrayal in Omega are going to be happy. However, the animation from the preview... Who is directing it? It looks very awkward. |
