Video Cards
Right now i have a geforce 7600gs it's a nice card i am able to play lost planet at 30fps and some other games,i was going to buy the 8400gs but some one told me that the card would not be an improvement at all, so i am a little lost, the higher up the number the performance is lower then the 7600gs how dose this work, i dont want to spend a lot my 7600 vista scores arent the bad
Windows Areo 4.8 Gameing graphics 4.8 so would games run faster on 8400gs, if you have any ideas of other cards let me know i don't like ATI cards always had bad luck. |

or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150277 pretty much the same thing, but XFX is a better brand and has a better warranty. |

8400GS is the low-end version from nVidia 8x series while 7600 is mid range. Of course your performance won't improve. The difference with your card (7x series) is 8x series now support DX10.0. Enabling you to play Lost PLanet with full DX10.0 support.
For around $140, here's my recommendation (well, i'm an AMD/ATi fan after all) : ATi Radeon HD3850 -> This OR Crossfire these two cards : ATi Radeon HD3650 -> This If you want nVidia then what problemedchild said is good too. Spoiler for Note:
