That's what I meant, by "licensed" I mean in English. Sekirei is probably licensed in some Asian countries too, but not in the US.

I think Omamori Himari getting lisenced is a good think cuz now I can get a legal english copy of the series. Yen Press from what I've seen does a good job but that still brings up another topic I'm wondering about. Do you think the series could be censored? I mean I thought it was too ecchi to be lisenced which surpised me when I heard the news. I really hope its not censored.

No, Yen Press would never do that, seriously. Only Viz does these days, and only for kids series.

Viz do it when ever it pleases them. Several of their so called "advanced" titles are censored. It all depends on who is running the project team.

Tokyopap also censor titles, and Del Rey and CMX have and still do censor titles, rather unashamedly as well.

So far Yen havent censored any of their adult line up, that said depending on the title you may get some of the original Japanese censoring. Depends on what material they have to work with i suppose

Perhaps its due to the country of origin not being Japan.

Both are Japanese origin. To-love-ru is most likely going to be licensed by Viz, eventually.

I hope that it's releases don't take too long to reach the current chapters and not censored. Were the light novels also licensed? I'm assuming only the manga was.

By "this" do you mean Sekirei? You're probably thinking it's South Korean due to the translators; they not only do South Korean manhwa but some Japanese manga as well.

Location dosent really matter. Yen have ties in Japan, Korea and China and release titles from all 3 areas. What it will depend on is the original publisher. Yen Press have a partnership with Square Enix, so their titles are more likely to be licensed and released than any other.

Also give up waiting for Sekirei, it was licensed by Infinity Studios, just never announced. Since they seemed to have died last year it leaves a lot of products in limbo.

I heard a new group called AMHScanlator will pick it up, they from Indonesia, a country where they sure hate the word "Licensed", "Genuine/Original", and "Capitalism". As long as they get the Japanese Raw I think

From the perspective of the country that manga licensed, yes it is, since it will cut their earning from the licensed manga sell.
From the piratean/scanlator perspective, it doesn't, since they are good men/women and willingly gave you free manga to download without bothering you for pay or any membership request. Even give you faster manga than if you buy it at the store.

*bow down to scanlator, Kenshin style *

It, along with fansubbing, do give rise to sales in other countries once, and after, a title is licensed. I wouldn't have bought the Naruto manga box set if I didn't read the scanlation of it.

Chapter 31 translations were released. To be honest, I forgot what was going on so I am going to reread the last few chapters to refresh my memory.
