i thought that sasuke was supposed to be lightning fast (well not that fast but fast anyways) why in the anime now he is really slow, he should have been running circles round Aoi

Don't, and I repeat Don't use ANYTHING from the filler arc to compare.
The filler arc gives a distorted image of the characters abilities and powers compared to each other.

Don't even bother to discuss it since it's not part of the story as far as im concerned.

Don't and I repeat don't listen to that guy because sasuke was running slowly when charging against Itachi. Don't really know why but it seems that it depends who his fighting against and how his enemy is seeing it. a great jounin ninja will probably see it differnet than gaara did.

Sasuke wasn't running slowly against Itachi, he was running as fast as he could. Itachi's just vastly faster than Sasuke is.

Duh....because Aoi is a Jounin and is just as fast, or maybe even faster. They had to make Sasuke seem slow to show the relativity between their speeds. If Sasuke was showned to be faster than Aoi, and Aoi is himself Jounin-fast, then Sasuke would actually be SUPER-CURSE-SEAL-LEVEL 78-HOKAGE-DBZ-FAST. Now that wouldn't make sense would it?

I'm afraid it's wrong though. Lee and Sasuke's speed is still far away from that of a jounin.

Because of where this filler was placed in the anime Sasuke just got out of the Hospital after a whole month of bed rest whcih means of course he is a little weaker and these filler episodes are him just getting back in shape a little for the next arc. Don't you know when you are in recovery its best to not always push yourself to the lightning speed pace.

Maybe, maybe the anime will go like dragonballz, they increase their power so much they are supposed to be super fast but it just looks the same speed they were goin in dragonball if you get what i mean

But personally i love dragonballz ive watched lots of the marathon on Toonami

and if they´did animate his speed...it wouldn't have been fun to watch....

Maybe they should start what dbz did and that teleport thingy where it leaves some lines (im not on bout instant translocation, the simple one)

That depends on if you trust the character book or not, but I actually had confused Aoi with Idate when I posted that.

While fighting other genin, he is shown to be very fast. Why? Because they are genin. Speed in Naruto is relative to whom it is being compared against. Sasuke may be a fast genin, but that doesn't mean he can match the Jounins. I liked this filler arc because it put everything back into perspective. Even though naruto and co are becoming stronger, they are still only genin.

Oh and just because something doesn’t look fast in the anime, it doesn’t mean that isn’t. They of course slow it down so that the viewer is able to see what is happening. Or would you like to watch a big blur for 20 mins?
