I do also think my dog is smart and I am also Serious she picks up on things quick and she can understand Human language

(at least when I tell her to do something) She askes for permission too

But she doesn't open doors for me

The only thing is she gets too excited which is hard to control

Yay Sheperds rule! I'm so sorry to hear he was badly treated, our last German Shepard was our old neighbours, who just took off in the middle of the night without Sasha. Needless to say she wasn't that well looked after. She jumped over our huge fence to chill with us (like she used to normally do) and became ours

She was my living teddy bear when i was growing up, ah i miss her.

I know where you're coming from my man. We had a dog, a chihuahua mixed with a doxen (we think). The story as to how we ended up with him is long, so I'll skip that. But long story short, we found him with a makeshift collar, a rope. It had been chewed, as if he wanted to escape. Not only that, but when we tried to put a leash on him, he would FREAK THE FUCK OUT. No doubt in our minds he was beaten and abused.

God help who ever did it if I find them.

before we got our cat Calico when she was a kitten the kids that used to have her did terrible things to her like roll her down a hill in a trash can, put makeup on her, put her the bathtub against her will and they were not giving her a bath either they were doing it for laughs, and I think I heard they stuck her in the toilet they didn't flush it though just stuck her in there. Their mother was a dumbass who should have known they were too irresponsible for a cat and eventually she gave it to my aunt who was babysitting her kids at the time. Then my aunt didn't want her so she gave Calico to us and she has been living with us ever since.

Completely seconded (thirded?) this. We just recently got a dog ourselves, a jack russel terrier, and he's the most adorable creature on the face of the earth (apart from my sister). If anyone tries to lay a hand on him, they will face a wrath greater than that of a god.
