What is Greed's Ability????

Can anyone tell me what Greed's ability is??

Greed is the Ultimate Shield. It seems he is extremely hard to hurt from the suckerpunch done by Ed. Also he is obviously very fast, as he was also able to move behind Ed almost undetected, and strong enough to kick steel doors out (The episode where he released the Chimera), strong enough to make a giant crator (The 3rd Op if it's indeed relevant to his ability), and strong enough to knock aside Ed's arm and strike him hard enough to knock him out at least a good number of seconds. Of the Homonculus, he seems to be like Gluttony; Very physically able, mayhaps the most out of all the Sins, although Envy at least has shown to be able to match his speed. (As the Fuhrer grabbing Wrath, and dodging his assaults.)

Greed's Ultimate Shield can be defeated two ways. Speed or alachemy. Though he's no slow poke, it does take a bit of time to raise his shield to it's maximun strength. If an opponent can immobilized him before he managed to do that, he can be defeated. Oh, he regenerates, so you really have to move fast.

Alternatively, his shield can be unmade, provided the alchemist know what it is, and can do this on the fly. The one who can do this in reasonable amount of time are Scar, Izumi, Edward and perhaps Armstrong, provided Armstrong uses his knuckleduster.

The Ultimate Shield of Greed is said to be on par with the Ultimate Halberd of Lust which we've seen already and pretty much agreed to be absolutely deadly. We all know that in simple terms, offense is better than defense in a fight unless the defense is nearly undentable or the defense can counterattack decently--and both apply Greed the Ultimate Shield. Instead of merely able to extend, harden, and sharpen her fingers to attack like Lust, Greed can harden his entire body into the hardest substance the human body can possibly create--carbon diamond. His attacks lack the range and deadly sharpness like Lust's, but with his quick movements Greed can quickly close the distance and pound the opponent, and when it comes to hardness, his claw attack is not inferior to the Ultimate Halberd. So unlike Lust who can only rely on quick attacks to protect herself, Greed in his full mode is indestructable on defense and attacks without worries for counterattacks.

This ability is not perfect, however. Like BigFire said, it takes time for Greed to cover his entire body, so normally Greed only hardens specific parts of his bodies: his hand (for attack) and any portion about to be attacked. Although Greed as a Homonculus can easily regenerate, the regeneration process is not instant. Furthermore, Greed cannot regenerate and harden at the same time. His greatest weakness, however, is probably his arrogance and false comfort in his invulnerability...compound that attitude with the time it takes for his ability to activate to its full extent, and things don't look so good anymore.

No substance is safe from alchemists--and no shield is impenetrable. Whether Ed can figure out Greed's weaknesses and defeat him is yet to be seen.
