Well, there was a whole lot of English in that half hour. Most of it was pronounced pretty good, too. Pretty large series of coincidences that the entire main cast would convene in Las Vegas, though Isumi and Sakuya are continuing to have things to do. The three stooges, too. And the language barrier segment got a few laughs out of me. Not sure who the woman trying to obtain the Black Camellia is - though there's still a few episodes to go. The revelation that Black Camellia (the sword) and Black Camellia (the clock) are the same thing was animated pretty nicely. The silhouetted transformation, with all those moving gears, looked pretty cool.
Still not sure what direction this series is going in, but this episode at the very least sets down the stakes for the finale. |

Man. This episode was badass. I approve of everything turning so deadly, uncharacteristically serious.
And I've never been attracted to Maria since I first got into Hayate no Gotoku around November 2008, but I find her oddly sexy this season... or maybe it just took four years to develop good taste. |

I really do understand what they're going for with this episode- a serious/mysterious episode full of suspense and intrigue those kinds of story are my favorite, but I'm not feeling the weight of the punch with each of the executions. I don't know, had it been done better and more focused it would most definitely be an excellent episode but the elements by themselves... Some of them are rather half-heartedly presented.
I think this entire arc is better suited as a movie rather than a tv series.

Again, I think the last 2 episodes have been really good. Even on the animation front. I do get that some things seemed rushed, especially considering how slow the first half of the season was, but I'll take it since it is actually decent.
I'm definitely pumped to see where this goes.

My impression in AA:

The episodes seem are getting progressively better now that everything is being tied together.
Did anyone notice that the Black Camellia seems to be modeled after Breguet's Marie-Antoinette watch? I thought it was cool to see a real life version of the Black Camellia, so to speak

One moment she was "Meh, it's probably a prank..." the next moment she's "Hayate you idiot! My little sister's life is in danger!"

Actually more like common sense didn't apply lately after Tsugumi showing up in the series, and this kind of thing never happened in the past with Hayate no Gotoku series. I mean, is she really Nagi's sister? I am beginning to doubt it for some reason. |

I irritated with Tsugumi because her actions not only put her in real life threatening danger, but resulted in Hayate being stabbed. If I was a betting man, I would bet someone slaps Tsugumi because of what happend to Hayate.

Ok I seem to have forgotten some things.. You all are talking about the Black Camelia and the Sword Black Camellia.. I do not remember reference to the Black Camellia Sword only that it was a treasure of the Sanzenin. So what is the Black Camellia or where are the discussions discussing this?
BTW it's said if you can overcome the bad luck than you will have incredible luck. I wonder if Hayate being stabbed is a part of him overcoming the bad luck? His luck goes so bad it can not get any worse overcoming the curse? Last edited by molitar; 2012-11-30 at 13:56. |

The mother of all Demons coveting the doomsday pocket watch, and for what purposes she intends to you use it?
Is Tsugumi Nagi's cute little sister or with the unnatural foes? Is it true that there's an Area 51 in Nevada were both Sakuya and Isumi got teleported into? Will Katsura-sensei get her money back? What about Hinagiku being seen with only a bath towel by Hayate? How come nobody knew that the doomsday pocket watch can be changed into a black sword? And, what will become of Hayate next week if he gets pierced by the black Camellia this week, but the producers decide not to continue on with the show the next one? |
