Chaos Theory - Too much detail to be an avatar. Doesn't look good cut up like that either. Could just focus on phoenix's face instead.

Sety - Too much crap in it. There's horizontal lines, vertical lines, lines that just smash up the middle. Too cluttered and the picture isn't even all that interesting for such a "fancy" line job.
