Well, finally. Famitsu put up a few screenshots for us to enjoy.

The designs look pretty sweet, and thank God as this looks to have an actual rabu comedy plot. The more I think about it, Ink-tan looks more and more similar to Sumomo from the upcoming Nanatsuiro★Drops.

I know that. From the available pictures though, I have a feeling Ink will be the one trying to get the attention from the protagonist, sort of like one girl's struggle to achieve something, much like it was in the case in Nanatsuiro★Drops. Then there's mahou shoujo elements...

Certainly not trying to say one product copied from another. It doesn't make sense for you to honestly believe that anyway, because anime/game/comic/etc material have been rehashing throughout their history. I have no doubt Moetan implemented and changed other existing ideas as well.

Yeah those images look good the first image with the bandage on her head is the best >.< bandages on bishoujos make them look even more cute/moe (the first image also reminded me with Petopeto-san, another great moe anime, where the female lead also had a bandage on her (on her leg though), which made her look so cute/moe >.< )

While I remember, looking at Moetan's costume, what exactly is it supposed to be. From what I can tell it works every common cosplay fetish/fantasy imaginable into one uniform. Let me try to tally every Moe cliche I can find in the very existance of Ink/Moetan:

Spoiler:

- Has a cute name that is somewhat associated with her purpose (Ink=Language/Literature.

- Cute exterior that likely belies a monsterous punishing lolidomish personality (Possibly a Tsundere, unless we aren't using that term anymore after Lucky Star episode 11, I don't know haven't checked yet).

- Is 18, but looks to be about 8 (Think they put the 2nd digit there by mistake).

- Costume kind of looks like a swimsuit

- Costume kind of looks like pantsu

- Costume kind of looks like an undershirt

- Costume has a magical girl thing going

- Costume has an animal theme to it (The Pedo Duck)

- Costume kind of looks like a schoolgirl uniform

- Tendency to do harm to herself based off the bandage picture

- Cutesy but somewhat commanding voice (CD's)

- Otaku friendly in every way

- Lolidom Fantasy Wish Fullfillment With Pedoduck

So Moetan is kind of like a character I would imagine KyoAni or better yet Konami (Kyonani?) creating as an original character for an original anime, had either not been beaten to it already. Still who wants to bet that Konami is the Grand Sponsor when the time comes.
