Nishio just loves his plot twists, for all we know he could set us up for something....epic. For all we know, this new arc was just mislead us into thinking that the suitors were villains or none of these events never truly happened. You canot tell but we try and that is what counts.

I guess in a way, it fits. She does have that Kurokami domineering trait to her but it seems that she likes it even more when she's put in pain of some sort (something Zen wouldn't do to her - he's too respectful of her). She's self-inflicted so many things on herself, this probably isn't nothing to her overall.
