And same with Kimimaro being indecisive. Heck at least he has enough presence of mind and will to go back and punch a guy he was pissed at, if only however late? I myself am much worse and unlike him, I am real, I assure you. I can see why the imouto plot would receive some cold shoulder because it has been overused (and as of late, mostly very badly) but I don't think there is quite any other anime lead exactly like Kimimaro. And I do think he represents the average Japanese University student very well.

As for speculations, the resemblance between Q and Takako is undeniable. I like the idea that Q is the representation of a future where Takako would wake up and return to a normal life. It'd mean Mikuni forsook the very future he wished for.

I don't think Msyu resembles Hanabi at all. Don't really know what she represents tbh.

Takako and Msyu were awesome this episode. It was a nice change of pace to narrate things from Mikuni's and Msyu's perspectives.

This show is slowly becoming one of my favorites for the season. There isn't another show that pays as much attention to small details (maybe oretsuba but it has its quirks that would throw people off) and I like the main leads. A lot of stuff is still in the dark but everything seems to be coming together nicely. Hopefully it will have a fitting end.

Lol yea, this is clearly a result of the episode limitation. Our hero has just started venturing this new world and the structure itself has already collapsed.

The episode mainly focused on showing the effects Midas money had on reality.

I have a feeling too much stuff will be left unexplained. Objects disappearing, humans disappearing, attitudes changing, assets vanishing..Man, idk wth is going on anymore.. Bleh, w.e. I'll just hope for a good ending - aka Hanabi x kmimimaro ship is sailing

WTF people were disappearing like it was nothing. Hanabi seemed to have figured it out as well since her kids disappeared.

So the informer is after trust in the form of money. Even Jennifer talked about trust.

Was that a glimpse of Kimmimaro's future? He names his child Mashyu. That kills his pairing with her then.

So Mikuni shown with his sister. So they're actually using C t counter act the southeast asian FD going bankrupt. Singapore will disappear!

Yes, if they disappeared, then any trace of them should disappear too.
Since their picture still exists, that means they still exist.

However, Hanabi is frustrated with something...
Then again, everyone in the world is in a depression, so she might just be one of them and took it out on the photo or something.
Or maybe one or two of the kids in the picture disappeared and she felt something weird from the photo and cut it.

From the point of view of the flashback, it could be his kid, but it could still be his sister instead if the point of view isn't what it seems. That would explain why the information guy knew her.
I personally think it is his kid though. *shrug*

Anyways, I enjoyed this episode a lot and it's interesting to see the effects the Financial District(s) have on reality. The initial impression I got from the dream (of sorts) was that Msyu is Kimimaro's future daughter but as I thought harder about it, it could be a flashback of a possible sister to Kimimaro. Of course, I could be totally wrong heh.

I'm having a blast with this series and hope it ends on a high note.

Well at least get some clues about Mashu now. Either represents Kimimaro's daughter with Hanabi or could be his sister that never existed due to his father losing. Both would line up with Mashu being familiar. After all wouldn't a granddaughter be part of the future for Kimimaro's father? Anyways start to get an understanding of what she represents.

Things are going crazy now though. Everything is coming apart quickly. One financial distract has collapsed and we can see the result of that. It seems also that losing or not doesn't matter since things are also starting to vanish from Kimimaro's area. That financial distract is starting to go and things are looking bad. How can they combat this kind of force where there isn't an easy way to target it. Sure somehow moving people's belief and trust into something other than money might be a way, but hard to change so many minds at once.

Worried a bit about Hanabi since she's not looking great. Though can see some of the reasons for it.

Shit is getting super real. The financial district is falling apart, causing reality to change significantly, and not in a good way. Everything in reality is starting to vanish, EVERYTHING, including people. The people still left are lifeless, lazying around because their future is disappearing. It seems Kimimaro's future has to do either with his future daughter, or maybe a sister that never existed. And now its clear that a Kimimaro v. Mikune showdown is going to happen. Kimimaro is fighting to save the future of everyone, even if it means a future with no possibility, and Mikune is trying to save the present, even if it means making everyone's future miserable, and also to save his sister. And now the financial district became bankrupt, and apparently Singapore is disappearing. And that Masasaki guy...he's definitely on to something not good.

Spoiler for Singapore's Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day:

Things are certainly happening, but a little too quickly for my tastes. This seems to be a recurring theme with NoitaminA - in any given season one show will have a game plan for the 11-episode format that really works, and another will end up screaming along at breakneck speed trying to get everything in - and usually failing. I'd make Kuragehime an exception in the latter category - while it was certainly rushed, I thought the ending managed to make a silk purse out of that sow's ear. This season AnoHana is cruising along with flawless pacing, while C seems to be barreling off the tracks at a dangerous speed.

This is really starting to look like a pretty good idea with terminally flawed execution, unfortunately. The major conceit of the plot is a fascinating one, but the whole thing has never really been laid out comprehensibly enough to set up a satisfying finish in three more eps. The series is better when it focuses on the human side of the issue - especially as it applies to Kimimaro's relationship with Mashu. But that was wholly absent this week, and the episode suffered for it. And it's hard to see how it can possibly be the focus of the last arc with so much loose plot flying around everywhere. I remain impressed by the imagination that went into C, but I'm not terribly hopeful for a satisfying conclusion.

Now, that was just bone-chilling. The people disappearing all over, the harsh effects on reality... that kid who ran up to Kimimaro - only to disapper seconds later with the mother standing all confused, wondering what had just happened but unable to put her finger on it was just... . It also shows us that no one is truly outside of the financial district's effect. Because even the most sucessfull entres will fall should the financial district collapse.

Also, of course... Now things has begun to seriously get bad for Mikuni. This episode marks the first clash of ideologies between Kimimaro and Mikuni - and this being the reason for their eventual duel, I'd say. As it happens, Kimimaro isn't the only one Mikuni has a problem with either. That glasses guy seems like he'll turn against Mikuni, though whether Mikuni is aware of it or not is anyone's guess.

Interestingly, though, it seems like every district has it's own "Masakaki". The Masakaki of the Singapore sinacial district was a somewhat differently-looking Masakaki than the one in the japanese district, though if this means anything, I don't know...

The destruction of the Southeast Asian Financial District presented us with someone strangely similar-looking to Masakaki overseeing the event and truly enjoying himself. There is clearly more imagery regarding the Sephira and the Tarot. Most important in this episode is Kimimaro's decision to act for his future and not merely remain thinking about the present.

It may be just imagery - but note that it reflects the CMYK color model. Magenta for Jennifer, and cyan for Kimimaro.
