What the hell is Synch-Point doing all the time?
Seriously, that company has licensed DiGi Charat and Tenshi Ni Narumon AGES ago.
Why do they need more than 8 Months to translate DiGi Charat, a series that is roughly 48 Minutes long (16 episodes x 3 Minutes) not counting OP/ED. Its similar with Tenshi Ni Narumon: They needed 9 Months to release the third Volume of that great series. You really have to like ADV for that. They license, they release. And they do it fast most of the times. But i guess that's the only positive thing about it |

Yeah, they really need to get their act together in regards to Tenshi ni Narumon. A two year wait between volumes is utterly unacceptable, especially since they finished FLCL during the interim. That's such a slap in the face to Tenshi ni Narumon fans.

"To celebrate the opening of the retail store, we are creating a whole new commercial featuring "Di Gi Charat." The commercial will have new character designs and two new characters!"
Like, WHY? Synch-Point shouldn't just create new (fake) characters by themselves, it makes no sense to the whole series at all. Did anyone see this on US TV yet? I think character creating should be done by Broccoli only, since they are the creators after all. This is not Fan-Service. |

The characters weren't just made up by Synch-Point - they actually didn't animate it themselves. It was animated by Broccoli over in Japan. The old OmochaBox (now AnimeGamers) commercial featured what are now known as the cast of Panyo Panyo Di Gi Charat, as the commercial predates the series. (Yes, that news blurb you pasted is -that- old.)
As for what Synch-Point has been up to, check out their production blog. They've been busy working on Aquarian Age the Movie, as well as all the various Di Gi Charat. And they've shipped Tenshi ni Narumon DVD 3 to retailers, which will hopefully be getting them onto shelves very soon.

Yeah, the whole Tenshi Ni Narumon thing is a running joke between the people who hang out at the shop here. Wonder if they'll ever finish it, or are they kinda giving up on it? It's taken so long between releases that people lose interest in it and/or forget about it. Or maybe it's so long between releases that people think wow, look a new show & buy it to see how it is before realizing it's the second ep, seeing how 1st eps generally sell more.
