I'm not saying they took time away from the game itself to work on these, but rather the game doesn't look/sound like it'd have THAT much in it to begin with. The DLC is just them milking it since they have time.

Shout-outs, no.

Cash-grab, more likely, well not buying any of these games either way XIII almost killed FF for me. Now FF XV and KH are more my thing.

Shout-outs and Cash-garb aren't mutural exclusive, besides many series such as Tales of do it and it's hardly consider bad thing there.

Well normally it isn't but when the worst game series within a series is trying to disguise their characters as other more successful characters you know it's only to try and move copies, just scroll up this thread people who possibly weren't going to buy this game now want it because hey, Cloud cosplay.

Also from the videos I've seen Lightning spends more time imitating other characters than being her self.

Each costume (there is supposed to be around eighty) unlocks a certain skill set. You can play with only the starting one if you wish, If anyone is stupid enough to buy the game just because Lightning wears Clouds outfit then good for them.

I am buying this game because shock and horror I liked FF XIII and FF XIII-2 as I have liked all of the Final Fantasy games to each a greater or lesser extent.

I dunno my son is buying a Vita just so he can play FFX and FFX-2 on the go, especially because they are going to be the International versions

I liked the job class system from FFV and this is just a modified version of that as was the garment grid from FFX-2

i know this is a little late but i don't see the big deal with the poses lightning did in the demo honestly it reminded of the poses paine did in x-2 and lightning and paine have similar personalities, and now that i think about it they probably were paines exact poses

That was a really nice showcase. Gave me a much better understanding about battles customization and game flow worked together and I can definitely see the depth to this system. I also like how Lightning can use weapons beyond just swords unlike say Zack in Crisis Core, and main menu interface is pretty cool too.
