According to 2ch, this is the best anime of the year.

http://animapple.blogspot.com/2010/1...ording-to.html

and actually, I agree. I watched 6 episodes through one day, and this is single best bishoujo astral gag comedy show I've ever seen. (Tet tet teh, nandedesuka?~)

Really? Biggest surprise, definitely! Not too sure if it was the best, but it is probably just a matter of taste.
Cannot wait for next weeks show down.

Just saw episode 11.

Wow. For all the show's ability at abjectly insane silliness, it takes some actual skill to present something that's unabashedly funny yet distinctly sad at the same time. While the gang are up to their individual silliness apart, you can actually feel how destitute and rejected they after falling from grace. I was actually laughing my ass off while feeling sort of depressed for them.

The last part was pretty awesome though as they get their powers back by sheer force of... whatever that trope was. Of course now we know she did it all by an obsessive desire to beat Milky Holmes at their best, so it looks like the finale will be one big fight.

This is honestly, aside from Hakuouki season 2, the most surprising series of the season.

Serious Henriette is serious. I really hope they go all out on the animation and showcase the girls' powers for the last episode because episode 11 was such a great pre-finale set up. I have a feeling that there were a billion references in this ep that totally went over my head, such as if there was any significance/reference from Elly's tissue/magazine selling or any point to the sheryl's clothing ripping every time she walked in the ramen shop.

I was looking at the Milky Holmes page on ANN. They certainly have quite the staff working on each episode. I was really surprised.

Very nice episode. I can't wait to see the last one, with that amazing fight!

Main Characters never die, unless it's the finale. That's always the rule. =P

I could have chosen from any number of Milky Holmes/Christmas pics on pixiv to celebrate this holiest of days, but this one won out.

Twenty Christmas, everybody!

No, I didn't like it.
I was expecting a full-scale battle, and that was interrupted.
I was expecting and ending with Milky Holmes showing their full powers, and was disappointed.
I was expecting things to change in better, and they didn't change at all.

No, I didn't like it at all.

Also, Arsene is ridiculously overpowered on, being that she can materialize her thoughts.

I was also expecting this, that's a shame but I didn't expect this breasts identification
This series was sure a surprise and got better and better as serenade_beta said. I'm not against a second season.

Already watched this anime series, I have to agree with everyone that have been watching this whole 12 episodes patiently and (mostly) enthusiastically, this was the most underrated and one the BEST anime that hit this season, hell even this year.

Also, has anyone notice:
Spoiler for last part - if anyone don't know about it:

I agree with that. I was patient with this and it paid off. I really enjoyed it.
As for that spoiler. When the name came up I thought it sounded familiar and checked Wikipedia. I wouldn't be surprised to see a second season.

Seems like the game has sold 12,000 copies so far. The number isn't mindblowing, but it seems pretty decent for an original PSP adventure (without a popular writer or voice cast backing it) that no one expected to be on the radar.

If Bushiroad is doing a game sequel, we can probably expect another season of anime. Even by otaku standards, Milky Holmes will never be anything more than a cult favorite enjoyed by a small number of fans, but maybe that's all the producers expect.

"Cult favorite" is a great thing to be. It's what niche marketing is for, and gives the subfandom a certain sense of familiarity that broader fandom lacks.
