Actually Itsuki is 5'10. And he's considered somwhat tall. Kyon's at 5'7.

Well Haruhi is a standard sized Japanese teenage girl. She's only half a head shorter than him. The biggest thing that makes her seem shorter than him, is the fact that most anime girls are depicted as far more petite than the guys are. Kyon's chest/shoulders are about 65-68% broader than Haruhi's.



It also helps that the 2 girls who Haruhi tends to interact with physically the most, are both shorter than average.

What is scary is that Yuki and Mikuru are shorter than Ayu from Kanon. Mikuru by over an inch (3cm actually).

Ayu only seems short because Yuuichi is HUGE.

I recall it went, from tallest to shortest, Haruki, Yuuki, Mikuuru , Itsuki, and Kyonko.

Forgot the exact measurements but does that really matter all that much now?

After googling it, it turns out that actually, both cat and dog skins were used to make shamisens. But still, a dog familliar on the shoulder of an evil alien magician is just weird. Besides, it means that Rossieu would have to be a cat.
