:/ because at the moment it is just very sad, but then ...?
She appeared to be too calm after the death of Yuki, it's weird for me. Till now none of her family appeared in the series... just her friends and colleagues. Yuki should be more than important to her...

In the manga (which elaborates more on the storyline) There is actually a scene where we do see Akane's parents. She looks more like her mother

too quiet? that is to say? you wish she yells "death Makishima" it breaks everything ect ect? I think his reaction to Akane as we have seen until now is "normal" for her character

but we must think only of background, she must be pretty angry and especially very sad... I think...

I think by the time this series ends, we're going to really see Akane rip...

In a way I feel like we already have seen her seams begin to weaken. I've always gotten the impression that Tsunemori has been slowly adopting the path that Kogami took, which forced him down into the ranks of the enforcers. In the beginning she had that unshakable morality, that idea that she wanted to help people and save them. She generally felt bad seeing the criminals die. As the series progressed and the criminals slowly escalated she started to show that regret less and less. While that's a pretty normal progression, the incident with Yuki was that escalation where Tsunemori took up that idea of vengeance exactly like Kogami did. One of the things I've noticed about the Kogami and Tsunemori relationship is that he's been taking her under his wing in a sense, and acting as a teacher. So with all that having been said, I think that Tsunemori has despair left in her, and I suspect that the next encounter she has with our villain will showcase some hidden anger.

Since I just caught up all of the Psycho Pass episodes today, I do want to take the opportunity to talk about how I feel about the Tsunemori character. I really, really, really like her. A lot. I deeply appreciate that she's been designed as a very mold-breaking character. Her struggles, mostly internal, are all very real and make a lot of sense. She has such a believable character, and I do see how her personality (even though I'm not a huge fan of the super-moral compass white knight of justice! character) makes her a fit for her line of work. I also like her personality as a whole. Despite all her underlying strength she has a good balance of emotions. She's very much what I think people would generally envision from an average, every-day girl. That normalcy in itself is really refreshing to see, as I feel like it's far too common that you get the tsundere character, or the geek character, or the noblewoman character. Lastly, I do really like her physical design. I think that they do a great job with making her professional, but providing that girlish contrast in her off time. She's not beautiful, and she's not sexy, she's just very cute. You know what? I like cute in an anime character. I feel like her simply being a normal sort of cute means that her personality gets to sell her, and I like her personality too. More than anything, I like that the main character is a female and that the idea for her seems to have been: "Let's make an average, normal girl."

^ wow that's a great explanation.. yeah, she's a normal girl that isn't childish and not weak. I really love her too
But I think starting this episode, Akane and Kou will have their separate ways.

I don't know.....I don't think it's within Ko's character to do so, unless he gets really pissed at her for letting Makishima live. At the most, Ko seems like a fair and reasonable guy.

@Trace

I like Akane as well. Nice to see a normal young woman and not someone who's used for fanservice bait like other series.

Actually, Akane and Ko remind me of Mulder and Scully: Akane is the wide-eyed one who sticks with the rules and Ko is the outcast who faces his demons.

Akane’s first impression of Yayoi: Yayoi is a cool type of girl.
-Akane’s first impression of Shion: Shion must have gone through some plastic surgeries or artificial organs implantation because she is too beautiful and sexy and her body shape is perfect. After a close look, Akane realized Shion’s assets didn’t seem that fake and even if Shion did, it would be minor surgeries.
for Akane’s first impression of Shion

Akane should've been killed at the start of the season when the salaryman went on a rampage? If you actually analyse the whole season , she's nothing but trouble and a burden ... yea she has a sense of justice but it's the straight kind . Making her unable to choose the best decision for that specific moment , not killing the Murderer the first time when he's about to kill your friend ? Your friend died , riots happened (Alot died) . Not killing him the second time when you had the chance ? he ran around and killed the person most important to the food supplies . Stop someone from killing him ? He's going on to kill more people . To save a murderer's live soo that he can go around killing more people ?! Why can't you guys see that she's actually useless ?

"useless" is a bit harsh.

Yes, her ability to fight crime in the traditional sense is low. But that makes a lot of sense.

In the context of the society she lives in, she has the highest aptitude out of anyone for being a police inspector. The difference between Kogami and Akane is the difference between ours and Sibyl's ideal detective.
