This makes me think that everything like the wells and jewel shattering and Kagome coming to the past where made so they never happened and if that is so perhaps Kagomes memories of those events have also dissapeared. Of course thats just speculation on my part, but things are actually seeming to become quite interesting here towards the end.

Well Chapter 553 just came out and I am so cluless at to what this all could mean. For once in a long time reading Inuyasha I'm actually heavily anticipating each new chapter.

My gut tells me its more than that, but perhaps a combination of both. I'm almost certain the wells vanishing was real. The thing thats got me thinking is what was the jewels wish. I struggle with the fact that if Kagome was in some kind of dream world what possible gain would the jewel get from it. I mean if the jewel wants Kagome to dissapear is killing her just out of its power?

sure the well is gone but i feel its gonna appear 1-2 more times depending on how inu and kagome chose to live out the rest of their life. my guess is kagome will have a battle of wills with the jewel to get it back/see the jewel and use inu to get back to the youkai world. then they could live happily ever after given it ends on a proper note.

OOOOh, maybe Takahashi is experimenting with all the different possible endings the InuYasha story might have had, in order to torture the audience and satisfy the reader's What Ifs...

Ahhh yes the epilogue I'm assuming. Well anyways, it's been one hell of a ride. Unfortunately I never really got to find out what happened past when the anime series concluded. I had heard bits and pieces of what had been happening with the manga, but never got to follow it through and through. Shame, I really enjoyed the author's artistic work, and would have gladly read the manga any day of the week over watching the series just to lay my eyes upon her elegant style. It looks so much different in the manga than the series.

ya, the epilogue is all thats left after kagome's current crisis is over. i just hope it doesnt take more than 30 chapters.

That’s right, I… started high school. I’m playing tennis, eating lunch with my friends, but I feel weird about there being a storage shed in place of the well’s shrine. Aside from dating Houjou-kun, are there no other guys I like?

Looking at Goshinboku at the shrine, Kagome notices that the mark from where Inuyasha was sealed is gone. Inu… yasha…

Kagome is restored to the real present day. At the shrine of the vanished well, Kagome is invisible to her family.

Pulse… The well has been closed. You no longer have any place to go.
