They should release the original ToS into PS2 in English first before going any further...

That'd be kind of pointless. There already is an English version of the game on the GameCube.

Ah, I see. That's certainly true.

I wonder what roles the old characters will play in the story, because it seems (so far) that the only playable characters are Emil, Marta (who, expectedly, is "special" since the video seemed to have some kind of mark or crystal on her head...), and that red-haired guy who reminded me of the main character of Abyss, but on closer inspection, isn't. Oh yeah, and apparently you can use monsters... Spare me from that...

The video also says "people can change easily". It looks like that is supposed to be targeted at Emil, but maybe Lloyd () too... Like Yggdrasil.

Apparently, it's "Richter Abend". From his quote, it seems he's going to be one of those "no-nonsense, serious, strict-type" character.

I'm pretty sure the game will make it overseas, since this is on the Wii. Nintendo was responsible for getting the game released in the US and Europe.

Yeah, for some reason Namco hate Distributing their own games here in Europe, they always get Atari or Sony/Nintendo to do it

Namco actually doesn't have an office in Europe, so it's a bit of a pain for them to release PAL versions of their games.

I'm actually kind of glad that the Wii is region protected, so that if for some reason this doesn't get released in English, I won't be tempted to import it and suffer that ear-rending lead voice actress.

Haha -- but, as Kaioshin_Sama pointed out a few months ago, it's Rie Kugimiya, better known in anime circles as the voice of Shana, Louise, and Nagi! Ironically enough, I was actually just going to say that that was one of the best parts of the trailer!

I've yet to find any japanese seiyuu that is just unbeliveably painful to listen to. I can name a few english ones though...

I'd like the Japanese-version if just so I can hear Nana Mizuki as Colette

You and me both. I've been waiting for a game where she get's too do voices for battle techniques and such. Incidentally this will also be Ai Orikasa's first role in god knows how long that isn't Quatre in a Super Robot Wars game.

Well it could have been worse, Marta could have been a waif and they could have given her to Chihara Minori to mumble her way through the lines over. Look at it this way, at least with Rie Kugimiya the character is going to have a lot of personality and flare.

Who would you have preferred for a characters signature line that is said to be "If your're a Man, act like one, be strong", and is said to be have a selfish tomboy personality?

I'd have preferred a person who didn't inspire instant disgust every time she opened her mouth.
