The 2JZ-GE is a 3 liter Inline-6 found in the non-turbo Toyota Supra, and the U.S - only version of the Altezza, aka the Lexus IS300. The two flavors of Altezza's available are the AS200, which uses the 1G-FE (2 liter Inline-6 w/163 bhp), and the RS200, which uses the 3S-GE (2 liter Inline-4 w/variable valve timing generating 200bhp.) The Gita (wagon version of the Altezza) , however, IS available with the 2JZ-GE. Most likely the Altezza was an AS200. |

Just watched the Ep7 by Anime Heaven & Animax. While I appreciate they actually have detail explaination for the technical stuffs, I'm not quite happy with how they done the subs......about 1/4 of the sub the translation (if that's even what it is) are different from what the characters said. I might not know Japanese fully, but I know well enough to noticed when the meaning of the sub was different from what people are saying....
I do not mean to dis-credit Anime Heaven & Animax...I do appreciate them bring out Ep7 on Animesuki when no other group did.....but if even I can so easily noticed there are so many translations different from what's originally said, they really should consider having someone else do the translation instead (unless they deliberately changed what the character said as their 'style', but I don't think most audience would appreciate that....at least I'm not). I really wish Live-evil would continue doing the subbing for this anime, because they did a good job and the translations were very accurate... |

I agree... I think Live-Evil did a better job with the translations... Take the A-H's translation of what Iketani said on episode 7 (around time 19:10) after the *SPOILER* S15 passed him Iketani clearly did NOT say, "You're our last hope. Get them, 85." He actually said, "I can't keep up... no way... it's an 85."
I'm glad someone picked up Initial D, but I was hoping to be watching something with better translations so that I could read what I couldn't understand. And unfortunately neither A-H or that other group... (GFS_FS) did a good enough job in my opinion. After reviewing both episodes I have a feeling A-H took a lot of the translations FROM the GFS_FS episode. Again, I don’t want to bash any groups, but I was expecting something better. |
