Wow. Some pretty nice read. I'll address some backlogs later, but first, the final part of Isdera's side-trip.

Grabbing his fist tight, Astra merely felt the presence of Isdera as his presence slowly lost himselves amidst the huge heat signals of the burning fire and the shaking grounds… Saga and Wira only looked and loomed silently as Isdera’s back slowly integrated itself into the shadows of the flames… “That fool! Even though he’s the most device reliant of us all… Saga, let me-“ “Don’t… at least not yet. If you do, there’s no point.” “But!” “You noticed, didn’t you?” Saying that, Saga’s look and Astra’s slightly angered face lightened, as they looked melancholic…almost sad. “The one who’s really finding it hard to adjust to our new life…isn’t you who cannot see the new world with your eyes, nor is Wira who’s struggling with the language… but Isdera. Among all of us, he is the one who is truly a knight on both heart and soul… and due to his weakness; a world like this is almost like a world which denied everything he lived for.” “,,,Ever since my failed experimentations on him… his inability to use regular magic other than wind-types, and his inability to fly…” Astra thought back in the generations, back when his eyes were seeing a narrow world, despite being clear, and his arms was sinned with the pains of countless subjects who had suffered for the sake of the war… Isdera was one of them, for he had his wings and everything aside from his sword removed from his grasp. Wira could only pull his sleeve, shaking his head…”Not..fault…Astra.” Alongside that, Null popped herself on Astra’s head, as if patting his head. [There, there, Astra.] Even so, it was understandable. For that is the kind of man Isdera was… For a knight like him, it was like asking him to strip away of all his pride and honor. But even after that, Isdera still fought on, despite so many of his flaws. Because even then, the world was acceptant of him… A world of blades, battles, and knights… a world that embraced him. But this world… “Don’t blame yourself. It’s not your fault… If it was anything’s fault, it was the era we were born into…. Don’t worry about Isdera. Even at his current condition, he’s not someone who would so easily succumb to this… Even so, just in case…Null.” [Hai?] “I need you to..whisper, whisper…” Saga whispered something into Null, as she sat right next to his face on his shoulder. Null’s face popped up, as she gave Saga a playful salute. [Roger!] With that, Null flew off…towards the city center. “What did you tell Null?” “It’s a secret.” Saga continued to concentrate as he focuses his energy, visualizing the location and coordination of the worlds from this to the Dimensional Seas, where the Central of the Bureau lies… there can be no mistake; else he ends up floating for dead amidst the seas instead… alongside a risky teleportation power that power is not completely controllable… A gamble indeed, but there was no other way to reach where they need to be… ~Isdera~ A single step. “Everyone, hold your defense lines!! Hold up until reinforcements from the branch arrives!!” And another… How long had it been since I felt like this… “Damn it! How did these many worms manage to breach through the city perimeter surroundings!?” The rushing voices of orders, heightened to its climax… the sound of fear, as one is overwhelmed… “Hold your line-ARGH!!!!” The sound of death, crawling up one’s skin… The sounds of falling weapons, signifying the defeat of a warrior… The radiating heat sticks firmly to my skin, as if threatening to burn it should I lose… As my legs brought me to the scene of the grounds, a small flock of life-sized sandworms surround the city centers, as corpses of both mages and worms lie on the shattered grounds… Goddamnit… rookie! Behind you!” An elder mage, injured from an attack, as another young one…being attacked by a worm over 3 meters in height… I didn’t need to do anything, as my body just reacted instantly to the impending chaos. “I’ll borrow this.” Words just came out spontaneously as I grabbed the staff-type device from the arms of the weakened, injured mage… a single burst of speed accompanies me, as I rushed faster and faster… “Wind, schärfen.” [Sharpen Wind.] Slamming the edge of the staff into the worm’s mouth…the insides of the worm mutilated, as the edge of it, from my will and strength, formed a small, concentrated whirlwind inside the body of the worm, as I destroyed it from within…the bug’s blood and remains splashing lightly against my body and the other youngster… “You still alive?” The young one couldn’t even react, as his legs died out… dropping to his buttocks, as I took it as a sign he’s fine, as I looked at the remaining worms… From beyond the flames and the darkness of the night, the shining red eyes of the worms appear themselves from beyond, as the small flock becomes a small army… Each one are weak, but united… “Looks like things won’t be that easy…” Holding the staff like a sword with a needlessly long hilt, I positioned myself, as the winds that form out from the edge of the staff slowly sharpens itself… like a concentration of sharpened wind. However, the longer I held, the more I could tell that this device isn’t meant to be used as such… “Let’s go.” The winds tore apart the guts and remains of the worms as a barrage of shots supported my rear, a small group of mages, around the rear, holding back the worms from a distance as I slashed another worm in half, though this time, much harder than the previous… I could see that my device was malfunctioning, as the wind then dissipated, the staff breaking down… “17 worms…” I quickly reacted as I jumped back to the rear position, grabbing another fallen one’s staff, as I quickly positioned myself back in the frontlines. The voices who are instead, supporting me from the rear shouted, “I don’t know who you are, but it’s too dangerous to fight like that! Its okay to assist from the rear until reinforcement arrives! The way you’re using that device, it’s not just crazy, it’s suicidal!” “…I can’t do stuff like that.” “Huh?” “This is the only thing I can do.” Ignoring their confusion, I merely rushed further. My blade clashed again. A ripping sound of wind against the shells of the rampaging beast, a unique constrast… though the further I fought, the sound of my blade became dull, as my concentration but slowly diminished, my wind slowly became something that can hardly be considered a blade… I could only aim for internal kills now, as my bleeding body was the sign of my weakness. And another staff broke, after entering the body of another worm for the kill… And another. And another. And another. Until there was no more… Standing in the middle of a battle, surrounded by beast… without a weapon… And then, a tremor increased its rhythm playing on the ground as an earthquake shakes the ground beneath me, and before I knew it, a gigantic sand worm was attempting to swallow me from below, as it shattered the land I stood, its jaws attempting to crush me, my arms and legs, holding on… “So, you’re the mother…huh…” A barrage of shots was fired at the mother worm from the rear support, but it was no use… I will not give up. Never… “I will not die… not here, now now…not like this…” Because… “Even if this world rejects me, I’ll accept that rejection…because…” Because… “This is the life I had pledged my entire being to!” Because I made I an oath as a knight, as I intend to keep it. All of a sudden, something inside me stirred, as my grip slowly loosened itself, my arms bleeding… as I see something forming out of my chest… “This is!” So…that’s what it was… That day when I died, I pledged my last existence… I understand now… Letting go of my grip, rather than resisting, I quickly jumped inside the sandworm and deep down into its belly, swimming through a cesspool of blood and guts within… [Isdera!!!!] This voice? As I quickly regained my stability, inside the belly of the worm, as I sought to confim that voice… [Null KICK!] Something flew over, as I instantly felt a pain running across my face, getting my right cheek brutally attacked. That voice… and that attack… “Null? What are you doing here?” Rather than answering, she turned into a full sized young child as she slapped me hard on the left cheek instead… before she starts to hit my chest in succession as she cried out… [BAKABAKABAKABAKABAKABAKABAKA! What the hell are you thinking!? Jumping in like that…Do you not value your life!? Do you realize how worried everyone is about you!? Don’t think that you’re the only one suffering… Everyone… everyone understands how you feel! But just because we’re conflicted, we shouldn’t so quickly… be selfish!!! Have you forgotten what it means to be a Zerstroritter!?!?!?] So… everyone knew… Even though I tried to hide my state of mind, everyone too…was going through the same thing. “Thank you… Null. And I’m sorry as well, for making everyone worried. But don’t worry… I’ve calmed down now…” Looking around the insides of the guts and belly of the sandworm, I gauged the hardness of the skin… it’s not too hard, a spell from Null should be able to destroy it, but… “Null, I need your help… if I’m not wrong, then it’s the only possible way.” I told her what I needed her to do… It was a simple request, to unison in… And if there was anything inside that realm of my soul in which the unison occurred, push it out with all her strength. [Roger.] “Lend me your power, Wind of the General, Null! UNISON-IN!” As the unison occurred, surrounded by a gust of wind like I’ve never felt before, a wind that is both rough and soothing, an amalgam of the powers that made up my existence… as a the wind then turned into magical particles, controlled by Null, turning the elemental particles into a donned Knight Armor of silver white…  A complete armor of silver white, with black inner-toned protective vest that hugs tightly to my frame, akin to the old battle armors of Ancient Belka, and as my face is covered and enshrouded by a metallic framed knight helmet-mask, and a cloak formed itself on the back of my armor… I felt a tingling sensation in my heart… [Here…it…is!] As Null forcefully pushed something out of her unison realm, a light of blue poured out from the center of my chest, as I closed my hands together, grabbing that blue sphere of light emitting… as an all too familiar voice resonates and spoke…  [Aktivierung….Zulfiqar.] (( Activation… Zulfiqar )) A sword formed itself as I grabbed hold of it, a sword that had fought hell itself with me… Zulfiqar…. “Wind…Cutter.” With a single word, I channeled my energy into my blade as I formed a succession of sharpened high-velocity wind surrounding Zul, as I jumped high and up, flying above allowing Null to help control the levitation while I solely focused on flying for the first time in a long time, and lastly… As Zul penetrated the inner layers of the worm, my sword pierced its withins as I broke out from inside the the worm… killing it. As the splurge of red spilled my silver armor, I flew out instantaneously as I left the corpse of the worm fall to the ground, shattering itself into its remains, as I landed on the ground… not even needing to look back, as all the worms scattered and fled from the ground below they came, at the instinct of their mother’s death.  "Ware wa..."  [Tateru mono rashi-desu!]  However, I am suddenly surrounded by a group of mages, as they pointed their staffs towards me, circling me in position… “Don’t move!” “Ceh…” As I was about to quickly dash away, another gust of wind came about; hitting the grounds accompanied by the winds, as another full-armored knight donning an armor of a tinted bronze, the one worn by the General at Drei Form, along with 2 cloaked figures made their way by my side. “You’ve done well, Isdera. The charge for the teleportation is complete…We can go anytime now, but first…” Clapping his hands together, he summoned a large magical field that surrounds the closed perimeters of the battlefield… “Since you’ve been so flashy, we have to at least destroy the records….. Data Drain.” As General Saga said those pair of words, all of a sudden, the field expands itself further as every electronic device, to an extent even the staff of the mages got vaporized internally, removing every single electronically saved data and information inside, without a single remaining trace, other than the memories of men who had witnessed today’s incidents… “Abgrund des Endes.” A light of moon, as we floated up slightly, and vanishing… We left the world we’ve roamed for 3 months, as we went on to seek a new destination, through a new discovery… This is the life I had chosen… and I don’t regret it. As my eyes opened, I found myself released from unison, as I was floating within a sphere of a time-distortion temporal force field, and a floater field, etched up by General Saga and Astra…as floating amidst a black sea of nothingness, a mass of purplish, neon-like black sky like a sea of twisted mass and colors, as standing in the middle of all that, was an auspicious looking-structure… “This is…”  “The Dimensional Sea…and that is TSAB’s Central…” Trivia: Data Drain : A field spell utilizing the techno-emphatic powers that allows every electronic device within 2 kilomters radius to be removed and destroyed of all their data and information. Abgrund des Endes : Just like Carim's prophecy power, this is Saga's rare ability akin to Goku's teleportation powers, where he can create an invisible dimensional tear in space that allows him to travel anywhere so long as there's enough visualization, coordination, angle, distance and such information. In a way, it's a mental seeker spell with no radius limitation that allows him to travel to places he knows of, or at least has a grasp of where it is. However, it can only be used when the moon's allignment is on the 7th moon of the 7th night, which is only once a month, and depending on how little or how much the user knows of where he wants to go, it may take up to 2 seconds to even an hour to accumulate the necessary teleportation energy. Zulfiqar : Well, since Isdera died channeling his remaining life energy into his sword, it's only natural that the sword be inside him spiritually, no? Spoiler for Future AFTER Teaser:
We have 3 mission objectives.
First, we're to extract the vital necessary information on the Book of Darkness. Secondly, we're to secure an alternate escape route, preferably to locations that may be related to the obtained information. This is sneaking, covert mission. Your identities as outsiders cannot be revealed. Initiate Operation Central Navigate. AFTER Saga III : Darkness Book Saga 4 : Guns of the Bureau Have we ever met before this?

Echoes of a distant memory… The pains of a past long repressed under the weight of despair. But once unlocked, long ago seems but yesterday, as the horrors return to haunt me. Three blank faces, that stared with contempt. Their sharp, cold steel glinting with their silver gaze of death, held by hands that can only give pain. The red stain on the carpet, fed by the flowing river of blood from oka-san’s lifeline. The rain of blood from oto-san’s hardened face, spilling unto my eyes. Onee-chan’s gentle arms, that carry me, protect me from the evil that pursue us. Her unending tears that wash away the blood, and her desperate cries of pain that drown my own. Her legs that vainly ran for shelter. We cannot get out. Oka-san… oto-san.. doko ni iru… tasukete… Her strained, shaky voice, vainly struggling to reassure my fears. “Daijoubu da Mai.” Under the darkness of the bed, hiding like a wounded dog. Her hands, trembling as did mine. Why are they doing this? Who are these people? What do they want? The black straw doll she held, and the blood red string that bound its neck. A leash that strangled it, longing to break free. The demon’s voices, taunting, laced with an insatiable lust for blood. For death. For pain. Pounding, scratching, the deafening thuds at the door. No way out. There was no way out. There was no way out. Onee-chan… doko? Doko ni… Onee-chan…kowai yo… Don’t leave me please… it’s dark in here… “Gomena… Mai…gomenasai…” Why are you apologizing? Where are you going? Don’t leave me here please… ---------- “Kowai yo… Onee chan…" For the second time tonight Mai softly uttered those words. I could barely hear it, nor did I understand what she said, but she was distressed, that much was clear. And she was shaking badly, sweating all over, curled up in a ball. Her wet hands soaked mine as I held them tight. The tears fell out of her shut eyes, streaming down her cheeks. I tried to wipe them clean, yet they kept falling. Her painful grimace betrayed her fear, how scared she was. How the nightmare was torturing her. It’s a sight I’ve seen a lot of times before, several years ago. Each time it broke my heart. And this time was no different. For the past three years, is this what you’ve endured, each and every night? Reliving that horrible moment in your past over and over again? How much time do you spend sleeping each night, terrified of your past? “Onee-chan… Onee-chan… yamero…” Her cries sounded more desperate now, louder now. I had to stop this. Both of my hands squeezed hers. She choked. And whimpered. “Onee-chan…” Then everything went silent. The tears still flowed, but more slowly now. Then she took my hands. “Smith?” She asked me with her shaky, raspy voice, as she always had, never opening her eyes. “It’s me. Don’t worry now. I’m here.” And her reply: “Sou ka.” No matter how hard she tries to hide her emotions, her trembling hands betrayed her fear, as she painfully squeezed mine. The pain from my hand will be gone in a while, but not unless her own pain does. From the darkness two more sets of hands covered her shivering body with a comforter. Wesson. He never said a word as he did so, only nodding at me. Mai had stopped shivering then, but still clutching my hands. “Arigatou… bakatachi.” That, I understood. To still call us such things even after all this… You’re welcome. In reply, I whispered to her one of the few words in her language that I understood. So she can understand. “Oyasumi. Mai.”

Hi again everyone! I was thinking all night how I was going to finish up this chapter. I didn't feel that Minea should have the closing statements for this part of Minea's dairies since a lot of what she had to say was finished up in the diary segment of the last part. So to help close up holes, gaps, and give a better idea of what's occurring internally and emotionally to Minea I'm going to finish up this Diary segment with Celesti at the helm doing researcher's log! Enjoy!
BTW >> I just realized I've been spelling diary as dairy... Last I checked Minea wasn't writing in milk >< Gah! Spoiler for Minea Diary Part 2 #5: Celesti:
Celesti Damuel Log August 23rd We successfully recovered Minea from the pursuers I sent after her. From the readings I have picked up and the tests I had my doctors run on her there seems to be no activity to the Logia since that night in the old building we lives in four years ago. It appears that emotional stress caused by fear will not activate the Logia. In the Fight or Flight sense Minea would choose flight rather then fight, this might be a cause of this effect. A conclusion I have long debated my self over is the affection she still feels towards my self and Alexandria. Regardless of the harshness and abuse Alexandria puts her through, Minea is just happy to be around her. Instead of fighting back and perhaps using the Logia unconsciously to stop the abuse, she chooses to see it as a lesson and a sign of affection. My actions, which include ignoring her, abandoning her, and pushing away any accomplishments, meet the same fate as Alexandria's abuse. Minea would rather believe that I love her and want her to push her self to stand out and become better then the choice of my not loving her. Again, the emotional abuse does not trigger the Logia. The trigger four years ago occurred when she was left alone, and perhaps the fear that her Logia would activate just like the Book of Darkness; I learned the later due to her diary entries, but I feel the factor that touched her to subconsciously activate the Logia was the fact that she was left alone away form those that she believes she loves. My theory is that the Logia will activate in a state of total abandonment away from either Alexandria or my self, but in the coming years I will eventually test the theory that our deaths or our level of danger will cause her to use it as well. If I must, I will use Celestial and Twilight to force activate the Logia to run a test on it's "life devouring" functions. I had asked the doctor's who first interviewed her to convince her that the changes she claimed occurred to the tunnel never happened, in reality, she only reached the entrance to the Crypt that the TSAB knows of. The entrance that my research team entered is one that only I, and now the team, have knowledge of. When tests my Doctor's ran on Minea has shown that the Logia is still in the same state since it's last activation. Her magic power level is raising as the Logia is fusing with her body. Thus far, only her heart is full connected to the Logia. If my theory of the device is correct, soon Minea will become a Forever Youth, and when the Logia completes it's cycle of devouring life, it's power will reach it's highest level. If Minea can control it without using Celestial and Twilight has yet to be seen. Log Off. |

He was recruited into TSAB at the age of 11. He worked as an Enforcer and sometimes as a device mechanic for six years. The training he received was from the three divisions of the TSAB. A noticeably popular Ace of the Air division before he transferred to the Navy, he was well feared despite his age when he was an Enforcer due to his rather inhumane methods of interrogation and information gathering. His ruthless and efficient style in combat was well respected by his peers. He was also third in command of the Elite undercover Enforcer group called the Spectral Enforcers. All these ended during the Perfect Void Incident; where the whole team was wiped out with only him as a survivor. He lost his device and left arm in the process. The details of the notorious operation were kept in wraps by the TSAB high order and the GDI. He was given an injury leave in the 97th Administered World called Earth. His left arm was given a prosthetic replacement. In the medical records, his case of being mechanical and unresponsiveness during his one year of recovery was attributed to severe trauma and depression. However, this is obviously not the case. For reasons only known to him, he studied Intergalactic Psychology after his one-year recovery and graduated in three years (with exceptional results). Even stranger still, he entered the TSAB Technology Department almost immediately after. A noticeable change in his disposition compared to his outwardly heartless demeanor during his Enforcer years can be seen by this period. Unbeknownst to everybody, Aurion had a severe problem plaguing him all these times. His cheerfulness was just a farce… In his early years in the Tech Department, he mainly focused on research of expanding upon the functionalities of Storage Devices without heavy reliance on AI. To the shock of many, he tried incorporating a large range of functions into his prosthetic arm, later resulting in his primary device for years to come. He named his arm Reishiki (Type Zero). After revamping his fighting style as a mage to match his device (in his personal training room in the facility), he decided to play the part of a researcher and bodyguard of technology personnel. During the incidents with The Garden of Time and The Book of Darkness, he was away on a research trip on another sector of the galaxy. Upon learning the news, he decided to keep an eye on the exceptionally talented young female mages, namely the Aces. He took particular interest in Yagami Hayate, who was able to gain ownership of the legendary Book of Darkness. He did have his reservations in letting long-time fugitives, namely the Wolkenritter, into active service in the TSAB. After two more years, he decided to have an 'extremely' close look on what kind of person Hayate was. He got his chance during one of his trips to Earth (Around the time before Rein was born), which incidentally, where the Aces were currently at. He devised a way to isolate Hayate from the others and have a long discussion with her. Predictably, Hayate was extremely alarmed and attempted to engage in combat. But he was able to set up a binding trap and managed to calm her down before she was able to free herself. Setting up his specialized magical isolation fields, he held the 11-year old girl in an 'interview'. After learning the details firsthand, he decided that the 'Miracle Girl' was indeed a blessing to TSAB. Also, something about the little girl triggered something in him, a possible remedy to his ‘problem’. Right then and there, he decided that it would be extremely interesting if he could observe the progress of such young people in TSAB. He decided to tell his objective in talking with her. With that being said, he helped Hayate get over her insecurities with the spiteful regards to her by some people because of her involvement with the Book of Darkness; not to mention missing Reinforce immensely. Subsequent to some professional counseling (He did study Intergalactic Psychology after all) he decided to take his leave. After apologizing and thanking Hayate, he parted with the young girl with an affectionate pat on the head while teleporting away, claiming that they'll never meet again. Hayate was later found crying by her worried companions. When asked, she simply said that she met an extremely weird but nice person. By some extremely ironic twist of fate, Aurion would meet the Aces, including Hayate exactly two weeks later when they were commissioned to help with the research of Neo-Belkan magic in the very same facility he was working on. He took the unexpectedly early reunion in stride and cheerfully welcomed the newcomers. As he expected, Hayate's reaction to seeing him again was nothing short of hilarious; which later resulted in a long explanation after being threatened to be killed on the spot by her Knights. After things calmed down a bit and a proper introduction to Nanoha, Fate and Keroko, they were finally able to go ahead with the research. The other three Aces became comfortable around the weird man soon enough. Amusingly, Hayate harbored a childish resentment towards him that lasted for most of their one-week visit (He was forgiven later on at least). In the process of research, he decided to take a more active part in Neo-Belka magic (which would be later incorporated into his personal style later). He sorely regretted allowing the visitors carry out the field testing in his personal training room (Which was partially demolished due to the insane amount of power of the guest mages). In the end of their short visit, Hayate got her revenge by commissioning Nanoha (who was willing), Fate (who was reluctant) and Keroko (who was eager) to call him Oji-chan (an affectionate way of saying uncle) when they were saying goodbye. Aurion, who was by then taking a drink, promptly spat out his drink and coughed for a good minute at the sudden act of familiarity, much to the delight of the Aces (maybe except Fate who was worrying if they went overboard). Aurion thought wryly to himself that maybe he has met his match in wicked humor while watching the Aces and the Knights leave. This is also the time in which he suddenly felt about, “Finally having a stable ground.” It is currently unknown what this may imply. He would later create his second device, Synchronization Device Almaria a year after the birth of Reinforce Zwei. Now, he still retains a similar but higher ranked position in the TSAB tech department. Despite being invited to join Riot Force 6 by Hayate, he declined the offer and instead opted to provide her with new equipment and intelligence reports for the operations of her new squad. He would finish his third device, Armed/Expantion Device Tyrfing by the StrikerS timeline. Personality: Aurion, as already mentioned in the profile, is very casual and has a rather twisted sense of humor. He generally gets along well with anyone, being tactful even in those situations where he plays his little ‘Mind Games’ with his friends/coworkers. (Actually, he’s just embarrassing them with a clever use of words) He is a talented voice actor and has managed to fool several people already about who’s actually talking at times. Usually, he addresses anyone in their surnames (if available) without honorifics, though he uses military titles when talking with high-ranking officers. He always treats those younger than him (or look younger than him, such as Tesla and Vita) like children (much to the annoyance of some), usually patting them on the head or using anything in kind. He takes special interests in unusual devices (The devices of the protagonists actually giving him a long month of ‘enjoyable’ data analysis). His focus of interest in matters tends to alternate from ‘convenient’ to ‘interesting’ and sometimes, ‘exciting.’ The latter making his colleagues nervous. He has a trademark prank to those who doesn’t know him much, which is pulling off his prosthetic left arm (which is usually under transformation magic to look like a normal arm). This more often than not scares the hell out of anyone of his victims. One of his favorite scenarios arising from this prank was when he performed this in front of the Aces, in where Nanoha screamed, Fate ‘almost’ fainted, and Hayate (while visibly shaking) called him an alien from one of those tokusatsu (think Kamen Rider and Ultraman) shows in Japan while backing away quickly. Only Keroko seemed to be the one who was amazed instead of frightened. Despite this, he is actually quite a thoughtful and considerate person. In fact, he took some time off his work to help in Nanoha’s rehabilitation after the serious injury she sustained a few weeks after meeting him with her companions. He also did some counseling for Hayate, Keroko and Fate who were unnecessarily feeling guilty for Nanoha’s injury. This was one of the factors that helped Fate pass her officer exam on her third try. Surprisingly, he is also quite adept in the art of ‘professional’ flirting with women. With this, he is often able to gain some information. One weird thing is that all the women he seems to flirt with are often very dangerous one way or another. Relationships: His relationship with the Aces (around eight to six years before StrikerS) is like a playful uncle to his nieces (which he decided was the right description after they called him Oji-chan). He treats Nanoha like an enthusiastic little student when showing her around his facilities during the Aces visiting time, explaining several matters to her along the way. Aside from this, he also took a small part in her recovery after the attack that almost cost her life; mainly on cheering her up and checking on her mental condition despite prior testing by others. Keroko is noticeably very active when with him, especially if she gets details about new equipment, in which she would beg him to no end just to be the one to do the testing. He holds a rather amused exasperation with Fate, whom he claims to ‘blush about almost everything outside of battles,’ which makes him avoid teasing her too much in fear that she might faint because of embarrassment. He was one of the people who urged her to be less timid around people; getting minor but noticeable results. He’s particularly fond of Hayate, whom he likes to tease a lot. The young Kansai-ben girl, not to be outdone, plays the part of the ‘spoiled niece to her uncle’ in retaliation. She developed the habit of calling him Oji-chan after their first visit in the facility he was working in, and has stayed the same ever since. Though he never voices it out loud, he has succeeded in his small endeavor in giving Hayate a passable parent figure, namely himself. He never bothered in making an explanation for himself; conceding with the reason that he just wanted to give an orphan like himself a parent figure. But, perhaps it has also something to do with his ‘problem’ which possibly has not been cured up until now. As such, her Knights (except Tesla) are not at all comfortable around him. Signum refers to him as a ‘devious and secretive person’ while Vita gets outright irritated by his attitude. Shamal and Zafira, despite being a little wary around him, doesn’t seem to mind as much as the other two Knights. Tesla seems to be the only one to be comfortable around him. She calls him ‘Ossan’ (old man) and considers him a suitable adversary in tactical combat. The two of them would sometimes play mind games or strategy simulations against each other. The current score is 51:24 in Aurion’s favor, much to Tesla’s chagrin (Notably, even pranks were included in the scoreboard, constituiting a large part of Aurion's leading points). He would meet the fifth Ace, namely Kha, seven years before StrikerS. Kha would mistake him for his deceased father due to uncanny similarities in their appearances. Later on, the Cleric-Knight would regard him as his ‘Sempai’ (Senior). He’s not interested in looking for a lifelong partner as of now, claiming that he still has a decade before getting worried and also saying that his much younger acquaintances qualifies as impromptu children already. Barrier Jacket: Aurion never bothered to make major alterations to his barrier jacket since his days as an Enforcer. Aurion’s Barrier Jacket was very similar to the standard Enforcer BJ design. The only noticeable difference was the darker color scheme with sharper details and a lighter frame. The performance of his requested design was significantly better than those of standard ones, allowing for good agility and defense at the same time. Now, there is a matching cape that pretty much covers his entire body. He also sports a lightly decorated blue gauntlet at his right arm and matching combat boots at his feet (these are doubled for the outer layers are sometimes discharged for quick spells). His Barrier Jacket acquires a sharper and more streamlined look after obtaining Tyrfing. The most notable feature, however, is the extremely high concentration of magic energy in his Barrier Jacket for the spell units, which often translates to at least 12 cartridges worth of energy. He charges energy in Reishiki when outside of battle for easy formation. It usually takes a full day to completely charge one complete set. DEVICES: Primary: Expanded-function Device Reishiki (Type Zero) His prosthetic arm also doubles as his multi-purpose device. Unlike other devices, Reishiki doesn’t come with a portable form (“Why the hell would I need a portable arm?!”). Instead, he opted to jam-pack the artificial appendage with several systems and functions that would do well to raise its processing speed and give it the functionality that far surpasses conventional devices (including several functions that were not characteristic of devices). It does have a simple toggled transformation spell to make it look and feel like a normal arm, though. In its device form, it looks like a bulky techno-gauntlet around his left arm, sporting a few buttons, a slot for something at below elbow level, and exterior circuits. Two large cylinders are situated at the two sides of his forearms, which serve as spell amplifiers, magic particle accumulators and at times, extremely powerful non-magic based energy blades. A streamlined barrel runs from a little below his elbow (also below the slot) to his knuckles. This serves as a high-velocity magic rail gun which shoots firing spells at exponentially higher velocities (and subsequently, higher piercing power) and also a non-magic based projectiles in occasions. Reishiki only has limited AI and has a mechanical male voice. He is activated without the need of voice command due to being directly connected to Aurion. He says, [Standing by] while being revealed and says, [Ready] right after the formation of Aurion’s Barrier Jacket. The right arm gauntlet and combat boots are expansions of Reishiki’s components. These also serve as expendable but easily replaceable instant spell charges. (By releasing the magical bonds and converting the latent energy into a spell that takes less than a second to cast) Aurion claims that each discharge has a level of energy approximately equivalent to two magic cartridges. Reishiki only uses a cartridge system when the ‘Roulette’ or anything in kind is attached to his base. The device, in itself is capable of taking the stress of a full load of twelve magic cartridges alone, leaving only minimal stress for Aurion to handle. This can be attributed to its’ extremely high durability in exchange for the lack of other modes. Reishiki never addresses Aurion directly. This is because of the limited configuration of his AI that leads to his disposition as a tool that only replies to commands. He replies to commands by saying, [Affirmative] before stating the attack name. Aurion can order Reishiki mentally to state the wrong attack name to confuse the opponent. Secondary: Synchronization Device Almaria A few months after his first official meeting with the Aces, Reinforce Zwei is born. After being notified by an excited Hayate, he was one of the first few to witness a Unison Device used by a member of TSAB. Needless to say, the results were fascinating. He remembered coming across the documented instances of such a device was used in the TSAB Archives. Despite noting the dangers of reversal of control between the user and device in the past, but now, seeing what was happening before his eyes, he decided it was another miracle to be documented in his journal. After doing a run down on the several functions of a Unison device, he suddenly got a brainwave on the project he was currently working on, which was the improvement on the functions of Reishiki. After giving a quick apology and greeting to Hayate and 'Small Boss', he hurried back to the facility and started to work in his idea. He did make a point to apologize to the two and made a proper introduction with Rein, who was, incidentally, uncomfortable around him as well, hiding behind her mistress’ head ("He's weird, Meister!"). Going back to business, he worked on a way on how to integrate a utility that could significantly boost the more technical aspects of Reishiki's functionality without the danger of overworking the already strained circuit of his custom device. After almost a year of work, he was finally able to create his Synchronization Device; which he named Almaria. 'Her' appearance is that of a rather sizable sliding cell phone with a TSAB emblem in place of the usual monitor (a holographic monitor is utilized in place of a small screen). Her voice is that of young girl in monotone. Like Reishiki, she is another device which has a permanent form, staying in the form of a sliding cell phone. Unlike her predecessor, she has a considerably advanced AI and is able to hold intelligent conversation with others. Another oddity about her is that she is able to speak Japanese when not in combat use unlike other one-dialect devices. This was a feature added by Aurion for better conversation with the device. However, in battle, she switches back seamlessly into English, occasionally speaking German while Aurion is casting Neo-Belka spells. Almaria is attached to the hollow slot directly above the ‘rail gun’ of Reishiki. Upon attachment and locking in as a single part, Reishiki says, [Complete.] From that point, Alamaria’s more advanced AI takes over the main combat and support functions of the entire arm while Reishiki takes a back seat in managing the internal functions of the extremely complex combination of the devices. This is where Aurion gets the benefit of a significant power boost and better defense due to the more advanced AI being ready to activate much more effective defenses automatically; freeing Aurion from the hassle of handling basic defenses and allowing him to concentrate better on his improved range of offensive capabilities. Almaria can still be slid open for manual input of commands for more time-consuming spells, functioning like hotkeys for instant execution of commands. This is also when Aurion is capable of performing the risky tactic called ‘Synchronization.’ Almaria addresses her owner as ‘Aurion-san’ outside combat. But during combat, Aurion’s title changes to ‘Chief.’ Though she generally speaks in an emotionless voice, Aurion has programmed her to crack deadpan comments that embarrass other people nonetheless. Aurion has even programmed her with a flexible voice range that allows her to speak like other females (or young males) convincingly when prompted. Almaria has been shown to be able to cast spells on her own volition, more so when connected to her personal terminal in Aurion’s training facility. Of course, her spells are not as powerful as those of a normal mage. She usually bases her speech and actions on maximum efficiency and convenience. Alamaria has proven to be the worst possible opponent in a logical debate time and time again, which Keroko would later find out; even at times surprising Aurion because of her commonsensical audacity. Tertiary: Armed/Extension Device Tyrfing A third device to be completed in the StrikerS timeline. The only details up to now are it’s a Sword Device which has two other alternate forms; a sword with a railgun attachment and a full shooting mode. It has another function that has not been confirmed yet. Miscellaneous Equipment: Customized/Unconventional Storage/Armed Devices Aurion has an odd habit of bringing along 2 to 4 random Storage or Armed Devices which he customized himself. None of these devices have AI capabilities and are just generally a bit sturdier and stronger than standard issue devices in TSAB (Incidentally, he also makes more money from manufacturing customized and improved devices for the higher-ranking mages of TSAB). The extra devices he brings can range from swords to firearms. And he tends to use them as a way of surprising the enemy by whipping out a new weapon on the fly. On some occasions, he discards these devices as magical grenades after loading them with magical energy using his ‘Roulette’ Here are some of the common extra devices he brings. They are all stored as cards when not in use: VKA 01 – Non-AI Armed Device which takes the form of a sword. 5 cartridges default VKA 02 – Non-AI Armed Device which takes the form of a long-range energy rifle. 5 cartridges default VKA 03 – Non-AI Aremd Device which takes the form of a dagger. 4 cartridges default. VKA 04 – Non AI Armed Device which takes the form of a lance. 5 cartridges default VKA 05 – Non-AI Storage Device which takes the form of an S2U-class magic staff. 6 cartridges default Detachable Cartridge Loading Apparatus Roulette This is one of his more unusual inventions. The Roulette (as he calls it) is a magic cartridge loading system which takes the form of a thick disc about eight inches in diameter. Unlike normal cartridge systems, this particular loader is detachable and can be used as an instant attachment to his to his devices. Devices in the forms of staves or anything else with long handles are generally compatible to its clamp-like attachment at its base. The main function this gadget is force-feeding twelve cartridges’ (arranged in a circular manner) worth of magical energy into a single device at two clicks (six cartridges at simultaneously loads per round). This more often than not leaves common devices set to explode due to the heavy concentration of magical energy. One particular tactic he uses is supercharging one of his random devices with the Roulette before throwing it as an extremely powerful magical energy bomb (After detaching the Roulette, of course). This loader is also compatible with Reishiki (by attaching it to Reishiki’s base) but as of now has not been used. Aurion suspects that though Reishiki would most definitely withstand the strain of loading twelve cartridges’ amount of magical energy, his prosthetic arm would most likely malfunction due to overheating soon after. It is speculated that attaching Almaria to Reishiki may be able to circumvent this problem to a limited extent. Instant Spell Cards Aurion also has access to a number of spell cards similar to those used by the Lieze twins. But unlike theirs, his cards function solely as expendable one-use only spell charges to be used when in need of a quick boost or springing a trap at the enemy. He mostly uses cards that are programmed with singular boost magic effects such as Magical Field Invalid and Acceleration Field in absence of a support mage. Of course, spells casted by these cards are a few levels inferior to those cast by real support mages. Fighting Style: His style primarily involves in tactic-reliant use of his decent mastery of several Mid-Childan and Neo-Belkan spells; along with the several optional weapons at his disposal. The spells include Illusion, Binding, Field Control and Small Scale Bombardment Spells. In more simple terms, he prefers to defeat his opponents in a roundabout manner while spending as little stamina as possible. His tactics ranges from well-calculated maneuvers to small-scale psychological warfare to downright ridiculous ploys that messes up with the enemies’ head all the same. The first two are his preferred methods of in dealing with dangerous adversaries in real battles; propagating frustration and confusion in the enemy ranks and striking from a safe distance once the stage is set to go down. However, he almost always uses the latter tactic in practice matches, particularly against those with extremely high magic potentials such as the Aces. In truth, he was able to soundly defeat two of the Aces (who were then around 13 years of age) one-on-one during mock battles because of his (as his colleagues put it) devious machinations. He disturbed Nanoha’s concentration after dodging (and stealing some of) her shots with an illusion of a giant ferret (She thought that Yuuno had become large) and Fate by quickly reacting at a stationary position and using the Acceleration Field against her speed and following through by making an illusion of Chrono confessing to her (She fainted on the spot before Aurion even decided on what to subdue her with). Keroko was slightly harder to deal with because of her good battle instincts. But, he was able to take advantage of her non-controlled motion sickness by unleashing a labyrinth of Acceleration Fields coupled with an illusionary roller coaster, allowing him to defeat her during the confusion. Hayate, after seeing the tactics used against her three best friends, was more ready compared to the first three. Actually entering Unison Mode before the battle even started. Aurion, alarmed at such a serious move right at the start, (Not to mention fearing for his training facility. In fact, he confused and subdued Nanoha and Fate when they were setting up for Excelion Buster and Jet Zamber respectively, in order to avoid damage to his training room more than anything else) was forced to use his less used tactics and heavier magic field manipulation; ending the battle as quickly as he could by using a triple Struggle Bind on Hayate by discharging his gauntlet and boots as instant spells. (After a heavy dose of scolding about using Full Drive tactics in his training facility, Nanoha overstraining herself again, Fate being gullible even though she’s an Enforcer already, Keroko about not being planning enough and Hayate lacking restraint, he consoled the upset girls by stating that he was only able to win because of being able to prepare suitable tactics from earlier study of their combat data; laughingly declaring that he’s not accepting rematches in fear of getting shot by the girls’ patented Breaker moves because he’s pretty much out of tricks already. ABILITIES:
Mid-Childa Spells: As an elite Enforcer in his youth, Aurion has access to most of the spells that are known by field mages; along with some more complicated spells like Struggle Bind and Long-range Bind. It’s notable that his moveset bears resemblance to that of Chrono’s, given their similar roles in the past. He has been shown to discharge one of his spell charges to deliver an extremely powerful Break Impulse in the form of a punch or a kick on one occasion. Neo-Belka Spells: As his secondary/complementary magic style, his knowledge of Neo-Belka magic spells mostly comes from demonstrations of the Wolkenritter (and to a limited extent, Hayate). So far, he has only successfully replicated the more straight forward spells like Panzer Geist (which he uses as primary defense). He has also been able to replicate Zafira’s magic spikes rather well, his variation involving the discharge of one of his combat boots and stomping the ground in order to surround his immediate surrounding with the spikes in very little time. But for the most part, he only makes Belka variations of Mid-Childa spells for an additional boost in power at the expense of some range and control. Magical Field Manipulation: One of his favorite abilities, he was able to obtain this ability after the perfect Void Incident, though the method is unknown. With this ability, he is able to forcefully seize magic particles around him and use these to power his own spells. ‘Spontaneous Collection Magic’, so to speak. Due to this, he is able to last exponentially longer than he was able to in the past in the battlefield. His ‘safe zone’ of control when only using Reishiki is a ten meters radius around him. When Almaria is attached, it expands to a twenty meter radius. Casting spells at any given point within the field is possible. So far, he has shown to be able of casting multiple sustained Buster shots around him. To a limited extent, he is sometimes able to ‘steal’ low-power projectile spells from his opponents and use it against them (the first time he is shown to do this is when he stole some of Nanoha’s Axel Shooter units and used them against her). However, using this ability in max power for too long causes him considerable mental strain, often resulting in severe headaches. To avoid this, he sometimes inputs manual commands on Almaria for automated attack patterns of the shots and defenses, sometimes making alterations on the fly. The explanation behind his relative ease in using this ability is revealed later as the result of the explosion of the Lost Logia which cost him his left arm. While he was put in critical condition for quite a while, he seemed to gain an acute sense of the magic particles around him; letting him expand his area of effective spellcasting. His Linker Core was also discovered to be more capable of handling stress and high exertion of external power. He calls this another result of his dumb luck and used it to his advantage. Acceleration Field: This is one of his support abilities that he usually uses in his ‘Mind Games’ with his opponents. It is a semi-transparent, human-sized field that forcefully propels anything that enters it at the specified direction. He is first shown to use this during his mock battle with Fate, in where he situated an Acceleration Field directly behind him. When Fate attempted to attack him quickly from behind she was only able to hit air because she was involuntarily accelerated of course by the field she wasn’t able to notice because of moving too fast. Synchronization: This is Aurion’s most potent and most dangerous option in combat. This involves perfectly (and forcefully) synchronizing his thoughts and perceptions with Almaria, increasing his magical and physical capabilities to a frightening level; and also increasing his magical perception and and control to far surpass that of any device. In this mode, he is also given the option of moving at supersonic speeds (Lightning Move EX+) for a full thirty seconds without stopping, giving the effect of slowing time in his perspective and allowing him to execute an impressive number of actions at less than a few seconds. However, using this ability has a dangerous side-effect to Aurion (more so if Lightning Move EX+ is involved), namely overstraining his physical and mental faculties, as well as almost completely draining his Linker Core. The only time Aurion was able to use this was when he first tested this ability on a barren landscape away from any commercial or environmental establishments. To say the least, he collapsed from the exertion and was lucky enough to be discovered by TSAB members when they went to check on what was causing such a large-scale magical flux. He was in critical condition for several hours before he was somehow stabilized (Not to mention the damage that his devices received). He took a full month to recover from the trial run. After thinking back on the ordeal, he hoped that the first time he used such an action would also be his last (Though he is thinking about somehow incorporating the Roulette to hopefully walk around some of the flaws, as well as making several adjustments just in case). It is also amusing to note that despite his unexpected injury he was still able to play his pranks with his acquaintances; most particularly playing dead to his ‘nieces.’ (Into which they took seriously, much to his amusement and the Aces’ annoyance when they found out. Especially Hayate, who, having no parents, had somehow grown a sense of attachment to her ‘uncle’. She even went as far as tearfully whacking him at the head with the Harisen she was supposed to give as a gift. Followed by a long scolding session for making them worry. As of now, he has already used his Synchronization (toned down and improved version) for about three times. In these instances, he only used this method in shorter intervals (around four to seven seconds with Lightning Move EX+). He also used the Roulette as a shock-absorber to cushion the sharp drain on his Linker Core. Though now relatively safe, he still feels high physical and mental stress after using this. As of now, he hasn’t notified anybody of this achievement. Tyrfing might have some bearing in improvement in this ability. But the details are still scarce.

The individual units are controlled and move in a zigzag manner. So far, he is shown to be capable of firing off and controlling around a hundred units of these. The power is relative to the amount of energy used. Attack: A max per unit Speed: AA+ Control: S- Range: AAA Proton Buster: Aurion’s standard Buster spell. It collects the same energy used in Proton Bolts and fires it as a single shot of magical energy. The power of the shot can be increased when Reishiki’s railgun attachment is utilized or when cartridges are used. As the name suggests, the individual units are composed of a few positively-charged electrons encased in several shells of magic. When the attack hits physical objects, the Annihalation Principle comes into play and the target is usually vaporized in an instant. This is an attack specifically made for physical damage bombardment. Is best use with a shooting Armed Device, though it can still be cast using Reishiki’s railgun attachment. A minimum of three cartridges is needed to use this when using a Gun Device. The power is relative to the casting time. In the fastest time this is cast, the shock of annihilation is just about enough to knock out an AAA-rank mage wearing a Barrier Jacket with minimal injury. This is an unstable and risky move. Attack: S+~>AAA non-magical on average against magical defenses, effectively annihilates pure physical targets Speed: B~>AA casting / AAA when fired Control: A- Range: AAA Stinger Blade: This technique is the same one Chrono is shown using in A’s. Energy blades are gathered around the user and fired at the targets; detonating upon impact. In Aurion’s case, he has the options of using these as cutting/piercing weapons, as well as being used as a defensive perimeter attack units. Attack: A+ Speed: AA- Control: AAA+ Range: AA Stinger Blade: Execution Shift: Also Chrono’s Area-of-Effect spell. It involves bombarding the enemy with hundreds of Stinger Blades, detonating them on impact or letting them pierce the targets. This involves concentrating energy in a weapon or a part of the body for an attack of high breaking power. He can focus all of the three spell charges into one hit. Attack: AA ~> S+ concentrated/small area max Speed: AAA Blaze Phoenix: By using one of his sword Armed Devices, he thrusts the blade down, creating a Mid-Childan Sigil. The sigil is then dragged forward and the blade is thrust into the sigil, launching a single phoenix made out of cobalt energy. The phoenix’s movement can be controlled, and has proven to be quite effective in taking down several targets due to its good speed, control and attack power. It has shown to be powerful enough to easily plow through standard AMF’s, though the power is weakened for each target hit. It can be cast faster and last longer if cartridges are used. Needs considerable focus to control. Can also be used to explode on impact. Attack: AA ~> AAA+ sustained, AAA ~> S impact Speed: A when casting AA when fired Control: S Range: AAA Blitz Phoenix: Another Phoenix move that can be used when using Tyrfing. Currently in testing stages. Attack: ???? Speed: ???? Control: ???? Range: ???? Buster Phoenix: One of Aurion’s most powerful attacks, it involves following a Blaze Phoenix by loading a disposable bladed Armed Device with a Roulette and slinging it forward by a Neo-Belkan Acceleration Field. The Armed Device explodes once it catches up with the Blaze Phoenix, raising its power exponentially as well as increasing the speed to incredible levels. However, the attack becomes linear once this is performed. Buster Phoenix is classified as an odd case of ‘Moving Explosion’ because of its nature. Getting hit by this is like getting caught in a massive explosion of both physical and magical energies. The attack power is estimated to be higher than those of standard Breaker moves. It is currently unknown if the attack power can still be increased. Though it may seem simple, the sudden load of twelve cartridges at two clicks added with the necessity of inputting a command spell into the overloading Sword device causes tremendous amounts of strain on the user. Can usually be only used once per fight. Attack: SS+ straight line-wide area damage, SSS+ impact damage Speed: A when casting SS+ when fired Range: SS+ linear wide area Homing Burst Impact: A spell where energy is gathered in front of the caster while designating targets. Afterwards, several independent bursts of energy are released and automatically homes in on a specific target. The power and number of shots are relative to the amount of energy gathered. In Aurion’s case, Almaria is usually the one who does targeting due to her high efficiency and detection capabilities. Attack: A ~> A+ per unit Speed: B Casting Range: AAA Permanence Impact: A ‘sustained Collection-Buster’ spell. It makes use of Aurion’s ability of empowering his spells with latent magical energy in the air. He firsts fires of a Buster spell normally, however, the difference comes when the dispersed energy are sucked back and reprocessed into the beam, allowing him to continuously pummel at a certain opponent or area at a long time. He can also use the dispersed magical particles from an opponent’s attack or defense given that these are magical in nature. This makes him an almost unstoppable opponent in energy beam standoffs. However, this can cause a lot of strain on Aurion. Attack: AAA ~> S sustained Speed: AAA Range: AAA Maelstorm Field: A move where the magic particles surrounding and released by Aurion is induced to a state of excessive and rapid distortion, causing considerable damage without wasting energy. It’s useful for immediate offense and defense when the targets are in proximity. Not exactly powerful, but it can be strengthened with cartridge usage. Attack: A ~> AAA- max Speed: S+ Area: 15 meters diameter area Poltergeist: A spell that involves telepathically picking up several objects from surroundings and using them for offense or defense. The state of matter of the objects is of little concern. Aurion prefers using big rocks with this. He is also shown to sometimes mentally grab people and fling them around on occasion. Speed: AA Control: S- Defensive Spells: Guard Powered: An auto-guard spell. Relatively simple but very sturdy. Used in one direction only. Defense: AA Speed: SS Guard Extended: A better version of Guard Powered. It can be cast over a large area to protect a number of people or a sizable object. Defense: AAA- max Area: Ten meter circle area Speed: AA+ Round Shield: A powerful shield that can withstand a prolonged attack. Can be layered with each other when cast en masse. It surrounds the target with a pyramidal barrier that prevents escape. Cage power: AAA Support/Tactical Spells: Physical Heal: A simple healing spell for simple injuries. Has a light anesthetic effect. Multi-cure: A healing spell that is used with a pre-programmed spell card. It can be used to heal poisoning and other harmful effects on an individual. Bind Break: Used to break a bind. Bind Steal: Aurion can forcefully seize control of enemy binds for several possible applications. It can also be used to release bound allies. Reverse Bind: A preventive measure spell. It consists of surrounding the self or another person with a field that acts as an anti-bind. When a bind is used, the ant-bind field reacts and cancels it out almost immediately. Tracking: Used with a pre-programmed spell card. It allows projectile spells to have some tracking and homing capabilities. It’s particularly useful when coupled with Restriction Shot. Blitz Rush: Similar to Fate’s own spell. It drastically speeds up the speed of projectiles but sacrifices control. Acceleration Field: It is a semi-transparent, human-sized field that forcefully propels anything that enters it at the specified direction. It has both Mid-Childan and Neo-Belkan variations; with the latter providing more speed but less size. Area Search: An area scan and tracking spell. Almaria is particularly efficient in this. Boost Up: Pre-programmed spell cards are used. It is a spell that can temporarily increase one attribute of a mage such as speed, defense, power, etc. Slightly inferior to those cast by real support mages Elemental: Pre-programmed spell cards are used. It allows an attack to have temporary elemental attributes. Slightly inferior to those cast by real support mages. Hover Field: Aurion can create a sizable antigravity field. But he usually uses this with a pre-programmed spell card. Sonic Move: Increases the user’s speed dramatically (but only temporarily) to the point where it cannot be followed by the human eye. Lightning Move: A faster but more taxing form of Sonic Move. The user usually feels directional disorientation after using this. Recovery: Reishiki, Almaria, and presumably Tyrfing can auto-recover in little time; even after considerable damage is dealt. Recovery speed: B Illiusion Spells: Optic Hide: Turns a user or a target invisible to the naked eye and common sensors. Duration: As long as the user can maintain the illusion Fake Silhouette: Makes a moving image of a user or another person or thing to confuse opponents. It uses Thirty-six cartridges minimum. This spell is eternally exclusive to Aurion because he was the only one who was subjected to the Perfect Void who had his impossibility of emulating ‘Deletion’. This is a very risky move. The standard probability of success under dire circumstances is 16.67%. It is almost impossible to stop by conventional means. The best way to deal with this move is running away and not getting hit until the time duration and ‘mass’ of the reversal runs out. The risks aside, Aurion does not like this spell, despite its near unparalleled power. Power: Possibly around X+ in energy usage. But it doesn’t inflict damage in the normal sense so the power rule cannot apply Speed: C when casting, S+ when shot Area: Up to several hundred meters Regression Impulse Breaker: A spell that was only seen once seventeen years ago during the war over the Perfect Void. This spell is eternally exclusive to Aurion because he was the only one who was subjected to the Perfect Void who had his impossibility of emulating ‘Deletion’. Obviously an infinitely superior move compared to its ‘Blaster’ variation. This was the spell that was used to permanently obliterate the Perfect Void; and is also the reason why Aurion’s left arm and device were ripped off. Only the GDI and the highest authorities in TSAB have exact details about this spell; though the gathered data is still not enough to draw a satisfactory conclusion about this spell. Theoretically, it is most likely to delete the caster as well. Aurion sentiments on this spells is, “It did some good, yes. But, the universe will certainly NEVER see it again. Let’s just say it’s Ancient History, shall we?” Power: Unconfirmed due to impact with the Perfect Void Speed: D when casting SS when shot Area: Needless to say it was large. - Light, darkness, time, matter, magic, and their respective opposites, if any. All these are said to be completely absent during the very beginning of all existence. To make things simpler, imagine the universe as an empty data storage device. Everything we perceive now has filled the void with existence. Or in my example, data. - Let’s alter the analogy a bit. Let us suppose that the universe is a computer from Earth. If a computer there is overloaded with data, it gets broken. And when there is not enough key data, it won’t even work. - Apparently, the universe is supposed to work the same way. When there’s too much or too little data, it gets destroyed. I’ve been able to talk with a very interesting person several years ago. I don’t know whether to believe or not, but this Multiverse is apparently not the first. - I was told that the assumed first ever Multiverse had no natural magic, only the most advanced technology capable of making such. The denizens of that phase were obviously thrilled with the concept, the creation of something out of nothing, magic particles. - In time, they found out that their universe being pushed to its limit of capacity. They had the technology to make and control magic, and probably some other possibilities. But they didn’t have the power to destroy, or to be more concise, completely delete anything. Thus, that universe got destroyed. - The Perfect Void, is a Lost Logia capable of perfectly erasing anything from existence. - I didn’t want to believe it myself. But, that Lost Logia is not just a fabrication of imagination. It was in the possession of a group of people seventeen years ago. ‘The Messengers of the Void.’ - These ‘Messengers of the Void,’ as they call themselves, are a group of people who viewed the current universe as corrupted beyond repair. So, with the influence of the Lost Logia, they began a systematic rampage of deletion. - However, their chain of command obviously had similar sentiments about the ruling bodies of the Multiverse, namely the TSAB. The conflict really started when completely erased an entire planet under TSAB jurisdiction. - Some of the more conspicuous members of this organization claimed that they were righteously chosen as the judges of all life, also saying that they had the power that even surpassed those of gods. - I was part of the now defunct Spectral Enforcers, then one of the more recognized Enforcer Squads almost two decades ago. It was our last mission as a squad before retirement, or to be more precise, before we were wiped out ourselves. - That was my last mission as a TSAB Enforcer. I was the third in command of our squad. Our leader and deputy leader were a husband and wife. Both ranked S mages. We were sent in to systematically eliminate the members of the said group. At first, we were mostly successful, being able to infiltrate their base of operations. But that is where it all went wrong. We were found out and forced to fight against a large number of the ‘Gun of Dis’; their own special group of partially deleted individuals. - The TSAB has typically assumed that the Perfect Void is a Lost Logia capable of completely deleting a given area when prompted. The assumption is mostly correct. However, it also had another capability; partial deletion of one aspect of existence. - Like what the classification of the ability says, the Perfect Void at times deletes only one or a few aspects of a certain entity. For example, there was one such opponent that got his limit of magic capacity completely deleted, allowing for nigh infinite magical potential; another one had her telepathical limits deleted, allowing her to perceive the thoughts of anybody. It was all a matter of luck. You would be briefly brought into the proximity of the Perfect Void. Mostly, those who tried had their life, their humanity, their mentality or anything vital for existence deleted. But there were those were lucky enough to have their weaknesses and limitations deleted. These lucky individuals were considered as the ‘Rightful Judges of the Universe’, and were gathered together to form the ‘Gun of Dis.’ - Their leader was unidentified. He was the, lets say the luckiest one. It was probably a one in several trillion chance. But the aspects that were deleted from him were the very aspects that limit a mage from being unprecedented in power, and the very power to direct the Perfect Void to delete ‘targets.’ He also had his impossibility of near omniscience about other dimensions deleted; allowing him to perfectly understand and relate the events of even previous universes before this. Still, aside from those, he was nothing more than a fallible entity. He deemed this universe as unfitting for peace. Thus, he formed the ‘Messengers of the Void.’ ‘In a campaign to ‘purge’ the universe of impurities.’ That’s what he said, but it was actually meant to delete enough key data to completely render this Multiverse inoperable; leading to its destruction and the creation of a new, ideal dimension, where he could build his ‘Kingdom of Everlasting Balance and Happiness.’ Your typical overpowered villain ambition, so to speak. But still, his threat level was definitely off the charts. Our squad was backed behind the scenes by a secret defense organization that I didn’t even know of until that moment, allowing for successful infiltration. The plan was for us to infiltrate and provide an opening for the said organization to come in. I later got to know of this defense organization as the GDI. - The entire affair was a screwed fiasco. We were captured, tortured and subjected to the Perfect Void, with the promise that we will come to their way of thinking. Their leader was the one who personally subjected us to the trial. Luckily, the defense organization and the TSAB got wind of the situation and opted for Plan B, a direct attack. The resulting chaos was enough chance for some of us to escape. I must say that it was quite surprising to know about the several unbelievably powerful mages on our side. To say the least, we survived the influence of the Perfect Void. But we didn’t know what were wrong with us. One event led to another, but the mission was somehow successful. - I am the last ever existing partially deleted entity. At least, until proven otherwise. Everyone else is now dead. - The Perfect Void… I destroyed it myself. - As for me, there were four impossibilities deleted. The first, was the impossibility of freely manipulating magic particles without the use of complicated spells. Second, partial immunity to some effects and influences of some matters. Third, the impossibility of emulating the effects of complete deletion, if imperfectly. The fourth… - Regression Impulse Blaster, a spell that allows me to create a cheap imitation of total deletion by converting magical energy into a void that reverses the process of realization, forcefully erasing mostly anything from existence. - After the death of countless people in that particular planetary system, I was somehow able to destroy the Perfect Void with Regression Impulse Breaker, a spell that came out of nowhere and attached to my head. - The Perfect void, despite its name, is just another Lost Logia of unknown origins; it’s still just the product of some idiotically advanced technology. Just a tool that can bring about deletion, not deletion itself. Therefore, just hit it with something that deletes as well. That was the most efficient plan. But I’m positive that it can also be destroyed by more conventional means; it’s just a device, after all. Anyway, the initial barrage of Arc-en-Ciel shots was relatively ineffective, but there were enough magic particles around to allow me to destroy it with THAT spell. That spell was the reason my left arm was ripped off. The resulting destruction of the Lost Logia was also the trigger of a large-scale dimensional dislocation. I don’t remember what happened after that. But they said that the Three Legendary Admirals came and patched up the mess in no time. I was granted an injury leave and a big fat paycheck, the mission being documented as a success by conventional means to keep things quiet. After that, you know the rest. I hope that’s enough explanation. To be honest, I’m not fond of that memory at all.

Relevant: - Aurion also happens to be an acquaintance of Former Admiral Gil Graham, having been assigned to one of the units under his command in his early Enforcer days before rising the ranks. - During Aurion’s brief visits in Earth, he takes ideas for his devices from the several things he sees there. Earth is where he got the idea of a cell phone form for Almaria. (Cell phones are not used in Mid-Childa, as stated by Chrono in the A’s Sound Stage 2) - His trigger phrase for more difficult spells is, “Attack!” - His psychological education didn’t go to waist, for he now uses his expertise in the matters of the mind to his advantage in several situations. He’s particularly good in making depressed people feel even just a bit better during his ‘Counselor Mode.’ He had subjected the Aces to this treatment, finding that Nanoha seems to be the most emotionally stable of the four. - He was a stiff and serious Enforcer in his youth; a clear antithesis to his now annoyingly cheerful and laid-back behavior nowadays. - He has a habit of buying books from Earth and reading them in the research facilities as a way of recreation. - He frequently receives several invitations to take a more active part in the TSAB military due to his high expertise in tactical and team combat. He declines all of these invitations though, stating that he gets more than enough excitement from also performing the role of the bodyguard of the technology personnel. - During mock battles, or even some real battles, he usually holds telepathic conversations with his opponent and tries to destroy their focus. Fun Facts: - He claims that he has zero talent at musical instruments. - He has records of several shows from earth and he watches them by a projection from Reishiki. - Arf is more vocal about her discomfort about him when compared to Zafira; often growling while in her wolf form every time he talks with Fate in a familiar manner. - He is also an acquaintance of Chrono, who has a habit of not listening to his jokes. - He and Yuuno have met only a few times, when he takes a rare visit to the Infinity Library. He learned about Yuuno’s background when he was doing his ‘counseling’ with Nanoha where he asked her about her close friends. In these times, he is also one of the people always asking on how he’s getting along with Nanoha, getting the usual reply of, “We get along great! (As friends)” He gets exactly the same answer from Nanoha when asked the same question, making him marvel on how such a mature girl such as Nanoha is clueless about the several innuendos about her and Yuuno given by several people. - Prior to his mock battle against the Aces he began setting up Fate and Chrono (despite their sibling status) for the fun of it, much to the annoyance of the latter (and the extreme embarrassment of both, especially Fate). This is also where he got the idea of how to easily defeat Fate by using an illusion of Chrono confessing his love for her. After the battle with the Aces, an irate Chrono challenged him to a match, to which he flatly refused, stating that he doesn’t feel like being frozen solid (all the while smirking as he walked away.). He did apologize to the siblings later, in any case. But the prank he played had a rather lasting effect on their other friends, leading to incessant teasing towards the siblings. - At first, only Hayate has been known to be able to get proper vengeance on his antics (Most notably calling him Oji-chan). Aurion attributes this to her ‘Take-Charge’ personality. Unfortunately (to several people), he actually takes her counters at him in stride and actually incorporating these to his future exploitations. This is one of the main reasons of why Hayate is his favorite out of his three ‘nieces.’ His favorite instance of one of Hayate’s (failed) revenge scenarios was when he was speaking with Chrono about technological advances with Storage Devices thru a communications screen. When the discussion went to the topic of the Aces, Hayate faked a small barrier break effect and gave a realistic distressed scream for Chrono to rescue her and the other two while in the background (Even going as far as appearing before the video receiver with magic binds around her arms and legs for credibility). Amusingly but unsurprisingly, Chrono did not buy the (surprisingly realistic) Damsel in Distress act and instead commanded Aurion to go ahead and have his way with the three, prompting an indignant reaction from the three Aces (Even Fate. Or maybe, especially Fate?). They actually shoved Aurion out of the way and berated Chrono on the other side of the communication line about being uncaring to them, which undoubtedly unsettled the soon to be Admiral. In any case, Aurion decided that seeing the exchange was worth almost breaking his neck when he was propelled out of the way of the communications screen. Tesla becomes the second person to do so. - He gets along well with the parents of Nanoha, Keroko and Fate. He and the Takamachi’s seem to hit off really well, seeing as Nanoha’s parents have some peculiarities of their own. He also gets along well with Lindy Harlaown, actually accepting his Japanese green tea with sugar and cream from the Admiral in impressive aplomb. (Much to Hayate and Nanoha’s astonishment) - The higher-ups in TSAB have several reservations about giving him promotions in the Tech Department due to his unorthodox and oftentimes reckless activities. - Though the Wolkenritter are not in any way safe from his pranks, he takes special care in handling these instances in account for the two offense mages of the group, in case he might get the ‘Sword and Hammer’ treatment. He is able to exploit Signum’s relative unease with extremely informal situations, Vita’s natural irritability and Tesla’s arachnophobia. - To the wonder of many, he oftentimes holds discussions with other people’s devices with AI, even when in possession of their masters. What’s even more perplexing is the fact that devices are unusually responsive to him. Fate actually approached him one time and asked him how he got Bardiche Assault to actually speak with him using three sentences at one time. Despite this fact, he himself doesn’t know why. - Rein has a penchant of indignantly scolding him whenever he teases Hayate. He treats Rein like a toddler and often asks her if she would like some toys or other stuff for extremely young kids. This usually gets the Unison Device to explode in irritation and actually start beating on his head at times. - Sakura, Kha’s Unison device calls him ‘Hakase-tan’ and likes to use his head as a couch. - He likes pairing people whom he thinks are compatible with each other. Other times, he just pulls pairings out of nowhere for the sake of his, as Vita puts it, ‘sick humor.’ One of the more notable out of nowhere pairings was the Signum and Chrono pairing, taking into account their seriousness. However, this idea was short lived due to trying to avoid being frozen solid and smashed into pieces. Additional Random Info: - So far, Aurion only addresses the Aces and the Wolkenritter by their first names, aside from his colleagues. Though at first, he addresses Hayate as ‘Yagami’, Nanoha as ‘Takamachi’, Keroko as ‘Georashi’, Fate as ‘Testarossa’ and Kha as ‘Alexie’. - He was an orphan and was raised in an orphanage before enlisting in TSAB. His parents were killed in an accident involving Lost Logia. - He is extremely impressed by the design of Durandal; and on some occasions, called the extremely powerful Storage Device as the ‘Trump Card.’ - Aurion doesn’t like gambling. But he has been shown to possess a surprising amount of luck with these matters. - During battles where he’s in a team, he prefers to provide support fire and tactical insights, letting his teammates get the kills. - He’s not too particular about what he eats. But he does follow a proper diet and has an inclination for spicy food. He also apparently knows how to cook quite well, except that most of the recipes he follows are from Earth. - He still hasn’t met Carym Gracia of the Saint Church of Belka personally. Pre-StrikerS Arc info: - Despite his connections, the perpetrator of the attack behind Nanoha’s injury is also unknown to him. - The final five years before StrikerS was a period of high levels of work for the tech department. For there were many new innovations were implemented into the military force of TSAB. - Thus far, he has been trying to develop expansion devices to be used in conjunction with several types of standard devices. This plan is relatively new and is still in its preliminary stages. Tyrfing might be one of these devices. - This is also the period where he starts picking out four mages from several places to form his experimental device testing and assault unit, the Phantom Squadron. Other notable interactions with the other OC’s in the OC thread: - He is the impromptu leader of the Phantom Squadron. Though he rarely participates in operations. - He was the one who gave Sophia Alexie her stand-in device called, ironically, Dauer. - He is the one who upgraded Ascalon and gave the device called Apalis to Arcasviel Emira. - He has backing from GDI from behind the scenes. - He was a favorite student of Instructor Austin Abrams during his time at the Air Force. However, even Abrams was telling him to ‘get himself a life’ because of his excessive seriousness in his youth. - He is the tech who runs maintenance on Smith and Wesson’s Linebacker units. - He is an acquaintance of Sarah S’Zet. Though how they came to know each other is a mystery. Common Anti-AMF (Anti-Magic Field) Tactics: - As a former field mage, Aurion sometimes gets the tendency to join (and observe) other TSAB squadrons on field work at some times. It was also around four years before StrikerS that he and the squad he was accompanying came across the Gadget Drones with AMFs. Not being a stranger around AMFs, (AMF is already an available technology around those times, as shown in the A’s to StrikerS manga) he was able to formulate a number of ways to get around the formidable defense. - Variable Magic Projectiles: Basically the same tactic Teana Lanster is shown using in Nanoha StrikerS. This involves coating the magic projectile to be used with an extra layer of protection that absorbs the AMF’s cancellation in place of the actual controlled magic bullet/s. As an AA-rank magic skill, this is relatively easy for him to execute. This tactic is best used at a suitable range away from the enemy with AMF, however. - Reishiki’s Physical Weapons: Reishiki has the ability to manifest non-magic based energy blades about two meters of length from the two cylinders at Aurion’s forearms. There is also a small rail gun that can fire live rounds (at extremely high velocities) at his prosthetic arm/device. These two weapons are apparently powerful enough to slice/pierce through the physical defense of the AMFs quite easily. (He keeps this a secret due to the ban on physical weapons in TSAB-administered public areas) - Rail Gun-amplified Magic Blast: The ‘rail gun’ on Reishiki is capable of propelling magic projectiles at extremely high velocities. With this tactic, Aurion’s projectile spells are given enough power to usually pierce through AMFs without reinforcement shells. Though extremely powerful, he has no control on the projectile. - Compression of the Magical Field Manipulation Area: By compression of the field of effect of the normally high range of the manipulated field to only around four meters, he is able to strengthen the hold on magic particles around him, resulting in partial nullification of the AMF because of the counteracting forces pushing and pulling at the magic particles. Due to this, he is able to still cast spells normally, even under the influence of AMF. It is still unconfirmed how effective this tactic is when used at varying levels of AMF influence, for Aurion finished the battle quickly instead of gathering data, due to the urgency of the situation. - Discharging Spell Units at AMF Range: This is one of his newer tactics in the anti-AMF tactics development. His right arm gauntlet and combat boots (basically, his disposable spell charges) are technically classified as part of his barrier Jacket. With that being so, the extremely powerful sub-molecular bonds prevents the AMFs from dissolving the pseudo-armor. With that being said, he is able to freely discharge these units even within AMF influence, opening up for the possibility of execution of quick offensive spells to destroy the drones immediately. His favorite variation of this tactic is using one of his boots to instantly cast his version of Zafira’s energy spikes around him by stomping the ground at discharge. The high density of these spikes makes it all the more effective. Another tactic is discharging one of his units to deliver a critical hit with a Break Impulse punch or kick. Planned interactions StrikerS: - As of now, I’m not sure on how to put Aurion in the StrikerS arc of the story. Currently, I am thinking on having him going on research expeditions as an alibi of his current absence in the scenes. I’ll be waiting for more episodes to come out before I post something more concrete about his meetings with the new cast. In any case, here are the planned interactions with the four new protagonists and Friedrich: - Subaru – I intend him to act as usual around Subaru, being amused by her energetic personality. The planned first meeting is to be rather unfriendly because of Subaru trying to attack the strange person who seemed to have cornered Nanoha before their training. As far as the interactions would go, Subaru will be rather at home with Aurion due to his personality. - Teana – He would be very amused with Teana. At one time, he will get to talk with her about her importance in the group with greater detail. I intend him to encourage the girl to be more open and less formal around him and her friends; even going so far as to give her a direct order to be informal around them for the day. He would also give her some tips about illusion magic, a field where he specializes. - Caro – As for her, I am planning on making her terrified of Aurion at first, prompting her to hide behind anybody (usually Erio) when talking with him. But it won’t last for long because of one of Aurion’s machinations made to make the two kids laugh. He will be very interested on Caro’s caliber as a Summoner, even cracking jokes of taking her for examinations like a mad scientist. (which leads to an amusing confrontation with an overprotective Fate) The planned oddity here would be Friedrich (Caro’s dragon) being unusually comfortable around the man, often perching on his head much to the surprise of many. - Erio – I plan on him to have high expectations on Erio; prompting him to give the kid some ideas in training that does not suit well with Fate at all. As for Erio, I intend him to be at first defensive for Caro during the initial interactions of the new cast with Aurion. He is also to be quite embarrassed in one of my planned scenarios of Aurion doing his trademark arm-pull prank on the rookies, in which he would yelp and jump back, Caro would grab to his neck from behind out of fear, and Subaru and Teana (Yes, Teana!) involuntary grabbing him at one arm each. - As for the earlier cast, I’m planning on him to have more or less the same relationships with them. Although he would be less childish with the Aces, stating that their big girls now and should make an old man like him (despite his relatively far from senior age) proud. I also intend the Wolkenritter (and Arf) to be less hostile towards him now, finally giving him the chance of proper conversation with them. - If I find a chance, I’ll have him place around bribes in TSAB to allow him to ‘inspect’ the several divisions, most notably the Riot Force Six. He would be dropping in without prior notice and surprise Hayate along the way. - He’s also worried about Nanoha’s health, apparently because she might overexert herself again. He usually voices this out by saying he doesn’t want to baby-sit a little girl who doesn’t know the meaning of moderation at all, much to Nanoha’s indignation. - I also plan for him to participate in one of the training sessions of the rookies. But he’ll be doing more advising and giving ideas rather than the more hands-on approach. References/Trivia: - His first name is derived from the recent car model released by Toyota, the Toyota Aurion. While his last name is derived from the 1994 Dauer 962 LeMans, a custom car known to accelerate from 0 to 60 MPH at 2.6 seconds. - Alamaria’s design is derived is based on the phones used during Henshin sequences in Kamen Rider 555. - I got the term Reishiki (Type Zero) from the mech called Grungust Reishiki in the Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation game for the GBA. - The Messenger of the Void and the Gun of Dis are the BGM’s of the pilots Ingram Prisken and Cobray Gordon in the SRW series. They are the ‘Time Divers’, beings who are charged with the balance of the Multiverse. - Blaze and Buster Phoenix are based on two variations of the move Akashic Buster of the mech called Cybuster in the SRW and Masoukishin series. - Maelstorm Field is based on the move Cyflash of the mech called Cybuster in the SRW and Masoukishin series. - Tyrfing’s appearance is heavily based on the Granworm Sword of the mech called Granzon of the SRW and Masoukishin Series. The handle is based on the Orgone Sword/Rifle of the mech called LaftCranz from SRW J. - Reishiki’s lines of ‘Standing by’, ‘Ready’ and ‘Complete’ are also derived from the electronic voices of the Henshin belt and Phone from Kamen Rider 555. - His trigger phrase of, “Attack!” was taken from Satoru Akashi (Boukenred), the leader of the Super Sentai group called GouGou Sentai Boukenger. He says this while snapping his fingers after giving an order. - His title of ‘Chief’ during battles is also a reference to Boukenred of Boukenger. - I was tempted to give him the habit of randomly flicking his wrist (like Takumi Inui, the main character of Kamen Rider 555) but decided against it. - In my original design, he had a Lost Logia as a third armament. It takes the form of a convertible large bladed weapon with a long handle. This Lost Logia was planned to have a mind of its own address him as ‘Ningen’ (literally, human). This was to be a reference to Mikoto Nakadai aka AbareKiller and his Blastasaur, TopGaler in Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger. Waga Bluecheesium ni... Tatenu mono nashi!

Phase 01: Lazy Days The year is MC 0065... Or something like that. Ask the people around here, and they'll tell you something different. No surprise; I'm not on Midchilda, but some distant rock designated NM 97th. It's natives call it Earth. I certainly wish they had given it a more pronouncable name. The same people also say that the first birth celebrates life, and the second mocks it. That's why I'm just Kha. No last name, no parents, no real home. But I have a family. A really big one: close to twenty younger sisters. A most adorable bunch, though, as imoutos always are, they can be quite a handful. Take for example, Number Six, who likes to-- "ONI-CHAAAAAN!!!" --scream out of the house walls for a hug that I always dodge. I hate having to drop my things for something trivial. Sei disappeared into the next flat surface with a ripple, and splashed out again. "That's not being nice, Oni-chan!" "I wasn't going to entertain that, Kaijyu." I set the groceries on the counter and cracked open the fridge. Sei stuck her tongue out and dove back into the wall. Hmm... We're running low on sake, but I'm sure I bought a case 3 days ago... "One-san has been drinking." went topside on the counter, and began rummaging the paper bags for sweets. Strains of the grand piano drifted into the kitchen. Gosh that Noube... Wiping out the alcohol ration for her creativity. Wine is supposed to be used as emergency fuel, not indulgence! Then again, she's one musical talent, and her drunken ballads are really something... I opted for soda. "Ne, Oni-chan." I bubbled the soda in answer. "How did you find the girl next door?" I barely stifled a choke. Mustn't waste soft drink... "What girl?" Sei grinned and cooed in weak falsetto, "Ano... Do you need help with that?" I could feel my face warping into incredulity. "How long were you there?" "I was right under the both of you the whole time! I thought you knew..." Not when I'm distracted. Sei pulled herself out of the counter and settled into the bar stool. "Be honest, Oni-chan. How is she like?" "How is she like..." ~~~~~~ Actually, that's what I'd really want to know. When we first set up this safehouse for us to better protect the Sakuradite mining operations at Mt Fuji, that golden hair girl welcomed us to the neighbourhood. I remember how the wind played with her long hair, wearing a smile more brilliant than anything I've ever set my scanners on. She introduced herself as Fate, and out of uncharacteristic haste I leaked my real name out. "Hi, Kha...?" She was expecting a last name! Good Empress... Back then, I grabbed at the first mental straw and pulled the name of the client we're serving. "Aznable. Kha Aznable." Double bummer. I really felt like kicking myself there and then for jeopardizing the whole op. How could I screw up?! But then she said, "I'm Fate T. Hallaoun. Nice to meet you. If you got anything you need help with, just give us a knock, all right?" There was something about that smile that made me forget all things bad... ~~~~~~ "Oni-chan is daydreaming," the little girl Sei sang. I could almost hear my thoughts go "poof." Anways, I tried not to let my startledness show. "It's called reflecting." "Oni-chan and Feito-san sitting in a tree, K-I-S-" "Matte," I shot. "Any word from the Doctor?" "The latest message was to relax until the signal is given. After that, the Resistence will commence the operation." The Resistence. Us basically. We sought to free the oppressed scientists from the tyrannical grasp of the magical. Only science could bring equality of power and ultimately lasting peace to everyone. Of course, the mages above refuse to see reason, and it is up to us to inspire the oppressed to rise up and overthrow them. Meanwhile, Sei flapped excitedly. "He also said there was cake from Eliane-san in the mail! Should be arriving anytime now! Yippee!" No one can make any of the Numbers happy like Eliane Scagletti can. If Jail was the father, then she'd be their mother. Both of them literally raised the Numbers from toddlers, while I was only 4. They certainly weren't my parents, who had left me at Eliane's doorstep way before I could remember, but sometimes, when I see how they treat us older Relic Weapons and Numbers, I wish they were... But I know that Eliane's dying... A parasite was eating away at her nervous system, while everyone around was powerless to stop its slow progression... Lately, Eliane has been confined to a hoverchair, no longer able to take the girls out on picnics on her own... I know Jail did what he was doing to search for a cure to heal Eliane's wounded systems, but... I mentally punched a wall. If only our science was advanced enough, we could save her! Curse the oppressors... "Oni-chan?" I crashed back into reality again, to be greeted by a concerned looking Sei. She must've seen my face change. "Yeah?" "Eliane-san... Will she be okay?" I smiled. "Of course, silly girl. As long as we complete our tasks and let Doctor finish his work, Eliane will be fine." Yeah right. There's going to be no miracle at the rate we're going... But Sei shouldn't be the one to be worried. They're too young for this. "Okay!" Sei declared suddenly. "Ne, Oni-chan, wanna know something?" "What?" "Fate-san wears black down there." Everything came out through my nose faster than my reinforced systems could react. And the Deep Diver made a quick laughing exit. "SEEEEEEEEI!!!" TO BE CONTINUED... Scagletti has been putting all sorts of weird thoughts into Kha's mind. And all the numbers are still loli-imouto at that time, so pardon Sei's moe overload. Personally, I felt that was quite bad. Very choppy, and nowhere near the l33t writing we see here.
