So if we consider the above combined with his seemingly underwhelming Bankai, I wouldn't hold it against anyone if they were feeling disappointed right about now. Afterall, the plot has kind of set him up to be main bad guy #2 and here he is getting injured by the most spammed attack in the series -- and the attack wasn't even at it's strongest. True. But I think that's part of what makes Gin so 1337. I could see him making jokes through just about any thing. Godforbid he gets a limb cut off or he's seconds away from getting blown to bits, I could see him joking about that too. He's always struck me as being similar to Aizen in the sense that they both seem like they can keep their composure no matter what. Last edited by sayde; 2010-04-08 at 01:20. |

Oh no! What the hell! Gin's bankai is... a bit disappointing!
Well, Gin always looks cool but he was hurted badly on the face at the end of this chapter . Perhaps, he will be more serious after that. I don't want to see Ichigo beat Gin please! What I think about Gin now is (I hope that it will not be the case) : -He is a genius, and that's why Aizen took him. -Ichigo is another genius, the son of a shinigami who become stronger and stronger -Aizen is interested by him -Gin is jealous of Ichigo.... -And he will lose against Ichigo It would be better if Gin says "ahahah fake it wasn't my Bankai "

And I think Gin is more effective against an army than a single person. It's funny because it's ironic.

The only problem is the lack of creativity, I was expecting something more illustrious too. Gin's shikai sounds pretty dumb too, but face it: he really knows how to use it to put up a good fight. And of course he's able to swing it around, how else could he cut buildings or lolis in half?
Too bad though we had no Aizen-Ishin convo this week, all I care about atm is the truth behind Isshin. biggest surprise however: Kubo remembered Jidanbou's name

But to be honest I don't think that's anything impressive. I mean they could've surely just destroyed them anyway by firing Cero at them but they never even tried for some reason.
