the character had more character development in the entire New Testament is Touma, Mikoto was the only one who had character regression (vol 6 to 7), and I can not help thinking that Kamachi was forced to find a place for her in the story due to superior orders in the earlier volumes, anyway, both Mikoto as the Index had a decent share in the current volume.

it was comedy? then my fault for forgetting to find it funny, and it does not change the fact that it was ridiculous, at least for me. remain with the belief that Touma was the best character work in NT

look, I'm not the only person who thinks this. as I'm not the only person who thinks Brunhild took lightly against Mikoto, even though she has gone with the intention to kill, I mean, I recently killed a cockroach and not used 15% of my true power, back to the subject, yes, I see it as a ridiculous situation that practically disregarded all the things she said and did in the previous volume.

EDIT: I will agree that Touma has had the most development and because it was needed. Which is all around good. Last edited by ACertainStark; 2013-10-08 at 12:00. |

Judging nt6-7 alone indeed it counts as regression, however if you look at the overall character(including nt2-3) what the author did was just to keep the character status quo, that way he could repeat the same "jokes" again and again. Its a common practice among japanese series with characters who have tsundere. Why people bothers with it? Because they misunderstood it and put their hopes high on Mikoto. Just that. |

And there you go thus it isn't regression. You still have not given me concrete details. Thank you: |

I take it that the "fans" just misunderstood, then. Just as usual.
Just like how everyone and their mothers believed hard like rock Accelerator cured his sister disease after WWIII, while clearly only his villain/hero complex was addressed.

I also think that part of NT 07 is comedy and shouldn't be taken as regresion, hell I feel all NT was one big novel of pure fan service.
Well finally finish the novel... is it weird I find people can regen, reattach, and regrown lost limbs but Fiamma is still missing his arm. And that Xanatos Gambit, I rank Othinus very high on my likes list now due to that. |

Btw, Othinus, yeah she is smart however I don't have her in my list because she lacks the charisma Fiamma had since he appeared. I'm not even asking for background or her past, any character with charisma can't be likeable with just that, just think of Phibrizzo from Slayers. Last edited by Miraluka; 2013-10-13 at 22:28. |
